A facile self-catalyzed CVD method to synthesize Fe3C/N-doped carbon nanofibers as lithium storage anode with improved rate capability and cyclability

Uniform Fe3 C/N-doped carbon nanofibers were successfully synthesized through a facile self-catalyzed CVD method by using acetylene as carbon source and Fe3O4 as iron source and autocatalytic template for the reaction under moderate preparation conditions. The experimental and theoretical calculation results demonstrate that Fe3 C can improve the lithium storage performance of carbon nanofibers. Besides, the addition of PPy can not only control the growth rate of carbon fibers but also help to form uniform carbon fibers. As a result, the obtained Fe3 C/N-doped carbon nanofiber composites display favorable electrochemical performance as an anode for lithium-ion batteries, which including satisfactory rate performance of 402 m A h g-1 under 1.2 Ag-1, and good cycling stability of 502.3 m A h g-1 under 200 m Ag-1 over 400 cycles. The introduction of Fe3 C species and the uniform carbon fiber morphology are responsible for the long-cycling and high rate performance of materials.

Driving style may affect fuel economy and driving ability,therefore,its evaluation becomes an important research topic for vehicle calibration and *** this work,we propose to evaluate the driving style by normalizing driving operations in a standard test ***,a personalized driver model is established for each driver by learning his/her driving operations during real-world *** is accomplished by using the locally designed neural network,i.e.,CMAC in this work,and the real-world Vehicle Test Data（VTD）.Secondly,the established driver model is applied to speed control as required by standard test procedure,i.e.,FTP-75,thus the driving operations may be ***,the energy spectral density（ESD） is computed on normalized driving data to obtain a quantitative index for evaluating the driving style of each *** are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

The prevalence of domestic and industrial electrical appliances has raised concerns about the health risk of extremely low-frequency magnetic fields（ELF-MFs）. At present, the effects of ELF-MFs on the central nervous system are still highly controversial, and few studies have investigated its effects on cultured neurons. Here, we evaluated the biological effects of different patterns of ELF-MF exposure on primary cultured hippocampal neurons in terms of viability, apoptosis, genomic instability,and oxidative stress. The results showed that repeated exposure to 50-Hz 2-mT ELF-MF for 8 h per day after different times in culture decreased the viability and increased the production of intracellular reactive oxidative species in hippocampal neurons. The mechanism was potentially related to the up-regulation of Nox2 ***, none of the repeated exposure patterns had significant effects on DNA damage, apoptosis, or autophagy, which suggested that ELF-MF exposure has no severe biological consequences in cultured hippocampal neurons.

Effects of Silylation on Zn-IM5 and Its Catalytic Activity for Butane Aromatization

Effects of silylation on surface properties and catalytic performance of Zn-IM5 for butane aromatization were studied in this paper. Collidine-IR and NH3-TPD analyses revealed that the silylation treatment not only decreased the quantity of both strong and weak acid sites but also led to a slightly reduced intensity of weak acidity. Silylation of the catalyst promoted the selectivity of BTX by narrowing the channel and cutting the acidity. The effect of temperature of silylation and amount of Si loading were evaluated. The best condition has specified a temperature of 50 ℃ and a SiO_2 loading of 4.0%.

The innate immune responses,including inflammasome activation,are paramount for host defense against pathogen *** contrast to canonical and noncanonical inflammasome activation,in this study,heat-killed gram-negative bacteria(HK bacteria)were identified as single-step stimulators of the NLRP3 inflammasome in human monocytes,and they caused a moderate amount of IL-1βto be released from *** course experiments showed that this alternative inflammasome response was finished within a few *** analysis showed that the intrinsically limited NLRP3 inflammasome activation response was due to the negative regulation of caspase-8 by the short isoform of cFLIP(cFLIPs),which was activated by NF-κ*** contrast,overexpressed cFLIPS,but not overexpressed cFLIPL,inhibited the activation of caspase-8 and the release of IL-1βin response to HK bacteria infection in human ***,we demonstrated that TAK1 activity mediated the expression of cFLIPs and was upstream and essential for the caspase-8 cleavage induced by HK bacteria in human *** functional specificity of cFLIPs and TAK1 revealed unique responses of human monocytes to a noninvasive pathogen,providing novel insights into an alternative regulatory pathway of NLRP3 inflammasome activation.

Quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries(QSSLMBs)assembled with polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)are a promising class of next-generation rechargeable batteries due to their safety,high energy density,and superior interfacial ***,PVDF has a series of inherent drawbacks such as low ionic conductivity,ease of crystallization,and hydrophobic character that leading to poor cell *** tackle these issues,a lignin-reinforced PVDF electrolyte is proposed in this work to solve these drawbacks of PVDF and enhance the comprehensive performance of *** lithophilic polar groups of lignin can promote uniform deposition of Li on the *** with the improved mechanical properties can efficiently prevent Li dendrites penetration through the *** addition,more active sites provided by lignin can also enhance Li^(+)transport and lead to a faster electrochemical reaction *** from the ingenious design,Li symmetric cells with 5%lignin-PVDF quasi-solid-state electrolyte can operate for 900 h at a high current density/capacity of 5 mA·cm^(-2)/5 mAh·cm^(-2),while shortcircuiting occurs after 56 h for the counterpart(pure PVDF).Moreover,a full cell of Li/5%lignin-PVDF/LFP cell demonstrates a high capacity of 96.2 mAh·g^(-1)after 2000 cycles at 10 *** work is expected to open up promising opportunities to develop other high-energy/power-density QSSLMBs.

Due to their unique electronic structure,well-defined metal clusters at the atomic level are promising materials for single-cluster ***,coupling between the electrode and the cluster remains challenging mainly due to the coverage of bulky ligands on the noble *** the scanning tunneling microscopy break junction(STM-BJ)technique,we have developed a“direct contact”approach to fabrication and investigation of the charge transport through single-cluster junctions of AgCu bimetallic metal clusterswith different halide *** that the electrodes could make contact directly with the surface halides of the single-cluster junctions and experience different contact resistance from different halogen *** and calculations reveal that the halide anchors provided efficient coupling between the cluster and the electrode,and the enhanced coupling with various halide anchors promoted electron transport and improved transmission *** work offers a“direct contact”strategy for interface design between clusters of noble metals and electrodes,an essential step in progress toward single-cluster electronics.
