Surrogate-assisted differential evolution using manifold learning-based sampling for highdimensional expensive constrained optimization problems

To address the challenges of high-dimensional constrained optimization problems with expensive simulation models,a Surrogate-Assisted Differential Evolution using Manifold Learning-based Sampling(SADE-MLS)is *** SADE-MLS,differential evolution operators are executed to generate numerous high-dimensional candidate *** alleviate the curse of dimensionality,a Manifold Learning-based Sampling(MLS)mechanism is developed to explore the high-dimensional design space *** MLS,the intrinsic dimensionality of the candidate points is determined by a maximum likelihood ***,the candidate points are mapped into a low-dimensional space using the dimensionality reduction technique,which can avoid significant information loss during dimensionality ***,Kriging surrogates are constructed in the low-dimensional space to predict the responses of the mapped candidate *** candidate points with high constrained expected improvement values are selected for global ***,the local search process assisted by radial basis function and differential evolution is performed to exploit the design space *** numerical benchmarks are tested to compare SADE-MLS with other ***,SADE-MLS is successfully applied to a solid rocket motor multidisciplinary optimization problem and a re-entry vehicle aerodynamic optimization problem,with the total impulse and lift to drag ratio being increased by 32.7%and 35.5%,*** optimization results demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method in real engineering practices.

Detection of food source by PCR analysis of the gut contents of Aldrichina grahami （Aldrich）（Diptera： Calliphoridae） during post-feeding period

The last meal of sarcophagous maggots may be useful in identifying the species on whose flesh they have fed （the＂host＂species）. The DNA profile of the host species may indeed be detectable in the＂last meal＂. In this paper, mitochondrial DNA analysis of gut contents was used to identify the prior host of post-feeding larvae of Aldrichina grahami （Aldrich）（Diptera： Calliphoridae）. A modified logistic equation was fitted to estimate the probability of identifying the host under five different constant temperatures （16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 ℃）. Our results shows that the detected time ranged from a maximum of 24 h at 32℃ to 42 h at 16℃ and a minimum of 12 h at 32~C to 30 h at 16℃. Furthermore, the host detection time was also calculated to give the maximal time after larval hatching from the egg. These results indicate that, in criminal cases where the maggots stray from the corpse, the last meal of the larvae should not be overlooked as potentially critical evidence.

A Semi-Supervised Topic Model Incorporating Sentiment and Dynamic Characteristic

With the rapid popularization of social applications, various kinds of social media have developed into an important platform for publishing information and expressing opinion. Detecting hidden topics from the huge amount of user-generated contents is of great commerce value and social significance. However traditional text analysis approachesonly focus on the statistical correlation between words, but ignore the sentiment tendency and the temporal properties which may have great effects on topic detection results. This paper proposed a Dynamic Sentiment-Topic(DST) model which can not only detect and track the dynamic topics but also analyze the shift of public's sentiment tendency towards certain ***-Maximization algorithm was used in DST model to estimate the latent distribution, and we used Gibbs sampling method to sample new document set and update the hyper parameters and *** are conducted on a real dataset and the results show that DST model outperforms the existing algorithms in terms of topic detection and sentiment accuracy.

Effects of Current on Microcosmic Properties of Catalyst and Reforming of Bio-oil

Highly effective production of hydrogen from bio-oil was achieved by using a low-temperature electrochemical catalytic reforming approach over the conventional Ni-based reforming catalyst （NiO-Al2O3）, where an AC electronic current passed through the catalyst bed. The promoting effects of current on the bio-oil reforming were studied. It was found that the performance of the bio-oil reforming was remarkably enhanced by the current which passed through the catalyst. The effects of currents on the microcosmic properties of the catalyst, including the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller （BET） surface area, pore diameter, pore volume, the size of the crystallites and the reduction level of NiO into Ni, were carefully characterized by BET, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope. The desorption of the thermal electrons from the electrified catalyst was directly observed by the TOF （time of flight） measurements. The mechanism of the electrochemical catalytic reforming of bio-oil is discussed based on the above investigation.

Proteome changes in the plasma of Papilio xuthus (Lepidoptera:Papilionidae):effect of parasitization by the endoparasitic wasp Pteromalus puparum (Hymenoptera:Pteromalidae)

Although the biochemical dissection of parasitoid-host interactions is becoming well characterized, the molecular knowledge concerning them is minimal. In order to understand the molecular bases of the host immune response to parasitoid attack, we explored the response of Papilio xuthus parasitized by the endoparasitic wasp Pteromalus puparum using proteomic approach. By examining the differential expression of plasma proteins in the parasitized and unparasitized host pupae by two-dimensional (2D) electrophoresis, 16 proteins were found to vary in relation to parasitization compared with unparasitized control samples. All of them were submitted to identification by mass spectrometry coupled with a database search. The modulated proteins were found to fall into the following functional groups: humoral or cellular immunity, detoxification, energy metabolism, and others. This study contributes insights into the molecular mechanism of the relationships between parasitoids and their host insects.

Co-delivery of Andrographolide and Notch1-targeted siRNA to Macrophages with Polymer-based Nanocarrier for Enhanced Anti-inflammation

Chronic inflammatory responses induced by macrophages play a pivotal role in the progression of atherosclerosis. In the present study, a multifunctional nanocarrier based on poly（ethylene glycol）-block-poly（L-aspartic acid） grafted with diethylenetriamine, lysine and cholic acid （PEG-PAsp（DETA）-Lys-CA2） polymer was synthesized for co-delivery of andrographolide and siRNA targeting Notchl gene to alleviate the inflammatory response in macrophages. The nanocarrier exerted low cytotoxicity as well as high performance in drug/siRNA co-delivery. In vitro studies demonstrated the co-delivery of andrographolide and Notchl siRNA not only significantly inhibited lipopolysaccharide （LPS）-activated interleukin-6 （IL-6） and monocytes chemotactic protein 1 （MCP-1） expression as well as blocked nuclear factor-rd3 （NF-rd3） signal activation, but also interfered the Notchl gene expression and increased anti-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-10 （IL-10） and arginase-1 expression obviously in macrophages. These results suggested that the combination therapy based on Notchl siRNA and andrographolide co-delivered nanocarrier, i.e. suppressing the expression of proinflammatory cytokines while simultaneously increasing anti-inflammatory factors expression, be a feasible strategy for atherosclerosis treatment.

Consensus of a two-agent opinion dynamical system with processing delay

A sufficient condition is obtained for a two-agent opinion dynamical system with pro-cessing delay to experience unconditional consensus. To this end, the dynamics proposed is transformed into a general class of delay differential equation and asymptotic stability of the origin is then analyzed. It is also shown that increasing delay can prolong the time needed for the system to realize consensus and even induce a Hopf bifurcation.

Proteome changes in the plasma of Pieris rapae parasitized by the endoparasitoid wasp Pteromalus puparum

Parasitism by the endoparasitoid wasp Pteromalus puparum causes alterations in the plasma proteins of Pieris rapae. Analysis of plasma proteins using a proteomic approach showed that seven proteins were differentially expressed in the host pupae after 24-h parasitism. They were masquerade-like serine proteinase homolog (MSPH), enolase (Eno), bilin-binding protein (BBP), imaginal disc growth factor (IDGF), ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), cellular retinoic acid binding protein (CRABP), and one unknown function protein. The full length cDNA sequences of MSPH, Eno, and BBP were successfully cloned using rapid amplification of cDNA ends-polymerase chain reaction (RACE-PCR). Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis indicated that the transcript levels of MSPH and BBP in the fat bodies of host pupae were inducible in response to the parasitism and their variations were consistent with translational changes of these genes after parasitism, while the transcript levels of Eno and IDGF were not affected by parasitism. This study will contribute to the better understanding of the molecular bases of parasitoid-induced host alterations associated with innate immune responses, detoxification, and energy metabolism.

Using a novel ensemble learning framework to detect financial reporting misconduct

Our research focuses on detecting financial reporting misconduct and derives acomprehensive misconduct sample using AAERs and intentional *** develop a novel ensemble learning method, Multi-LightGBM, for highlyimbalanced classification learning. We adopt a human-machine cooperationfeature selection method, which can mitigate the limitation of incompletetheories, enhance the model performance, and guide researchers to develop newtheories. We propose a cost-based measure, expected benefits of classification,to evaluate the economic performance of a model. The out-of-sample testsshow that Multi-LightGBM, coupled with the features we selected, outperformsother predictive models. The finding that introducing intentional materialrestatements into our predictive model does not reduce the effectiveness ofcapturing AAERs has important implications for research on AAERsdetection. Moreover, we can identify more misconduct firms with fewerresources by the misconduct sample relative to the standalone AAERs sample,which is quite beneficial for most model users.
