Development,verification and application of a versatile aerosol calibration system for online aerosol instruments

Traditional calibration methods mostly focus on the calibration of detection systems while the calibration from the sampling and pre-condition systems to the detection system is usually *** this regard,a Primary Standard Aerosol Mass Concentration Calibration System(PAMAS)is developed for the whole-process calibration of time-resolved aerosol measurement *** is composed of a particle generation chamber,an ultrasonic atomizer,a dilution system,and a syringe *** is designed to steadily generate standard aerosol particles of known concentrations(≤250μg/m^(3)),chemical compositions,and stable particle size *** aerosol can be generated in the size range of hundreds of nanometers to several micrometers with a narrow size *** generated particles with different compositions generated by PAMAS have been well verified by the filter-based gravimetric method,yielding accuracy and R^(2) of more than 95%and 0.999 in a wide concentration *** response time by changing the target concentration of reference particles is 1-2 *** has been applied to various types of time-resolved aerosol measurement instruments,including particle mass concentration monitors(Beta Attenuation and Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance),online Ion Chromatograph,and semi-continuous OCEC carbon aerosol *** consistent results between PAMAS and calibrated instruments can be obtained if the instruments are functioning *** for instruments with certain technical issues,PAMAS can serve as a good tool for performance evaluation and quality assurance of the instruments and the accuracy of the measurement data can be adjusted based on the calibration results.

Stem cell transplantation for treating stroke:status,trends and development

The developing approaches of thrombolytic therapy, endovascular treatment, neuroprotective therapy, and stem cell therapy have enabled breakthroughs in stroke treatment. In this study, we summarize and analyze trends and progress in stem cell transplantation for stroke treatment by retrieval of literature from Thomson Reuters Web of Science database, the NIH Clinical Trial Planning Grant Program, and Clinical Trials Registration Center in North America. In the last 10 years, there has been an increasing number of published articles on stem cell transplantation for stroke treatment. In particular, research from the USA and China has focused on stem cell transplantation. A total of 2,167 articles addressing stem cell transplantation for stroke treatment from 2004 to 2013 were retrieved from the Thomson Reuters Web of Science database. The ma- jority of these articles were from the USA （854, 39.4%）, with the journal Stroke publishing the most articles （145, 6.7%）. Of the published articles, 143 were funded by the National Institutes of Health （accounting for 6.6% of total publications）, and 91 by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Between 2013 and 2014, the National Institutes of Health provided finan- cial support （$130 million subsidy） for 329 research projects on stroke therapy using stem cell transplantation. In 2014, 215 new projects were approved, receiving grants of up to $70,440,000. Ninety clinical trials focusing on stem cell transplantation for stroke were registered in the Clinical Trial Registration Center in North America, with 40 trials registered in the USA （ranked first place）. China had the maximum number of registered research or clinical trials （10 projects）.

由西安市水务局主导提出并归口的《城市生产建设项目水土保持技术规范》(DB6101/T 3094—2020)(以下简称《规范》)于2020年12月23日发布,2021年1月23日起正式实施。《规范》明确定位于全方位指导西安市城市建成区和规划区范围内可能引起水土流失的房地产、市政工程和公共服务生产建设项目水土流失防治工作,细化了水土流失防治目标,优化了项目概况介绍,完善了主体工程水土保持评价,强化了水土保持措施体系与设计。《规范》施行3 a来,已指导2000余个城市生产建设项目水土保持方案编制、设施验收等工作,西安市约83%的生产建设项目加大了绿地建设规模、约61%的项目减少了径流损失、约54%的项目降低了水土流失风险;西安市生产建设项目年均径流损失量减少3.58万m^(3),年均土壤侵蚀量减少169.05 t,城市水土保持工作成效显著。

Tamoxifen combined with octreotide or regular chemotherapeutic agents in treatment of primary liver cancer: a randomized controlled trial

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of tamoxifen (TAM) combined with a somatostatin analogue,octretide (OCT) on advanced liver cancer and whether tamoxifen combined with OCT is superior toregular chemotherapeutic agents 5-Fu and mitomycin C (MMC).METHODS: Thirty-nine patients with inoperable liver cancer were randomly subdivided into TAM+OCTgroup (n=24) and regular chemotherapeutic group (n=15). A nonlinear service composition method based on the Skyline operator

The concept of service composition can provide the complex functionality for users. As the widespread application of cloud computing, the number of services grows exponentially. It becomes more difficult to find out the optimal service composition solution quickly. This paper proposes a nonlinear service composition method based on the Skyline operator. The Skyline operator is to find a collection of data that cannot be dominated by others, which is used to prune the redundant services to reduce the search space. Then the service composition problem is formulated as a nonlinear integer programming model by a mathematical programming language(AMPL), and solved by the existing nonlinear solvers Bonmin. The experiments show that the proposed method can effectively improve the efficiency of service composition, while ensuring the quality of solution.

Research on performance optimization of virtual data space across WAN

For the high-performance computing in a WAN environment,the geographical locations of national supercomputing centers are scattered and the network topology is complex,so it is difficult to form a unified view of *** aggregate the widely dispersed storage resources of national supercomputing centers in China,we have previously proposed a global virtual data space named GVDS in the project of“High Performance Computing Virtual Data Space”,a part of the National Key Research and Development Program of *** GVDS enables large-scale applications of the high-performance computing to run efficiently across ***,the applications running on the GVDS are often data-intensive,requiring large amounts of data from multiple supercomputing centers across *** this regard,the GVDS suffers from performance bottlenecks in data migration and access across *** solve the above-mentioned problem,this paper proposes a performance optimization framework of GVDS including the multitask-oriented data migration method and the request access-aware IO proxy resource allocation *** a WAN environment,the framework proposed in this paper can make an efficient migration decision based on the amount of migrated data and the number of multiple data sources,guaranteeing lower average migration latency when multiple data migration tasks are running in *** addition,it can ensure that the thread resource of the IO proxy node is fairly allocated among different types of requests(the IO proxy is a module of GVDS),so as to improve the application’s performance across *** experimental results show that the framework can effectively reduce the average data access delay of GVDS while improving the performance of the application greatly.

SOHO(small office/home office)routers provide services for end devices to connect to the Internet,playing an important role in ***,security vulnerabilities pervasively exist in these routers,especially in the web server modules,greatly endangering end *** discover these vulnerabilities,fuzzing web server modules of SOHO routers is the most popular ***,its effectiveness is limited due to the lack of input specification,lack of routers’internal running states,and lack of testing environment recovery ***,existing works for device fuzzing are more likely to detect memory corruption *** this paper,we propose a solution ESRFuzzer to address these *** is a fully automated fuzzing framework for testing physical SOHO *** continuously and effectively generates test cases by leveraging two input semantic models,i.e.,KEY-VALUE data model and CONF-READ communication model,and automatically recovers the testing environment with power *** also coordinates diversified mutation rules with multiple monitoring mechanisms to trigger multi-type *** the guidance of the two semantic models,ESRFuzzer can work in two ways:general mode fuzzing and D-CONF mode *** mode fuzzing can discover both issues which occur in the CONF and READ operation,while D-CONF mode fuzzing focus on the READ-op issues especially missed by general mode *** ran ESRFuzzer on 10 popular routers across five *** total,it discovered 136 unique issues,120 of which have been confirmed as 0-day vulnerabilities we *** an improvement of SRFuzzer,ESRFuzzer have discovered 35 previous undiscovered READ-op issues that belong to three vulnerability types,and 23 of them have been confirmed as 0-day vulnerabilities by *** experimental results show that ESRFuzzer outperforms state-of-the-art solutions in terms of types and number of vulnerabilities found.
