Projections of summer light rain freq.ency in typical terrain over eastern China under wind speed constraint

The variation in near-surface wind speed is a key dynamic parameter in the orographic effect of precipitation over eastern *** this study,we used the latest high-resolution outputs from six GCMs in CMIP6-HighResMIP to evaluate the performance of high-resolution models in simulating the orographic precipitation characteristics of typical mountainous areas in summer over eastern *** orographic precipitation under warming scenarios was projected and constrained according to observational *** results indicated that during the contemporary climate reference period(1979-2009),although the relationship between model-simulated near-surface wind speed and orographic light rain freq.ency was consistently stable,the sensitivity of the orographic light rain freq.ency to surface wind variability was generally underestimated,with a deviation approximately 24.1% lower than the observational *** estimated orographic light rain freq.ency corrected based on the observed near-surface wind speed under a 1.5℃ warming scenario,was 36.1% lower than that of the contemporary period;this reduction was 8.6 times that without the wind speed constraint(4.2%).The MRI-AGCM3-2-S model,with a longer dataset,demonstrated relatively stable reductions in orographic light rain freq.ency under different warming scenarios(1.5℃,2℃,3℃,and 4℃)after the application of wind speed *** all cases,the reductions exceeded those for the predictions made without the wind speed constraint.

In this study,a new image-based method for the extraction and characterization of pore-throat network for unconventional hydrocarbon storage and exploitation is proposed.“Pore-throat solidity”,which is analogous to particle solidity,and a new method for automatic identification of pores and throats in tight sandstone oil reservoirs are ***,the“pore-throat combination”and“pure pore”are defined and distinguished by drawing the cumulative probability curve of the pore-throat solidity and by selecting an appropriate cutoff *** the discrete grid set is recognized as a pore-throat combination,Legendre ellipse fitting and minimum Feret diameter are *** the pore and throat grid sets are identified as pure pores,the pore diameter can be directly *** the new method,the analytical results for the physical parameters and pore radius agree well with most prior *** results comparing the maximum ball and the new model could also prove the accuracy of the latter's in micro and nano *** new model provides a more practical theoretical basis and a new calculation method for the rapid and accurate evaluation of the complex processes of oil migration.

Large magnetostriction of Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composites in a wide temperature range

We report the magnetostrictive performance of the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy *** of M?ssbauer spectra and the XRD results indicate that the easy magnetic direction of the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)compound is alongdirection with spontaneous magnetostrictionλ111 of1900 ***-oriented Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composites with particle volume fractions of20 vol%-55 vol%were *** measurements demonstrate that the composite is highly *** raw material cost of Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)is about 85%of that of the Terfenol-D(Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.7)Fe_(2))***_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composites possess comparable magnetostriction with those composites made of Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.7)Fe_(2)*** room temperature,the magnetostrictionλ_Ⅱof the Nd_(0.2)Tb_(0.3)Dy_(0.5)Fe_(1.93)/epoxy composite reaches 420 ppm at a low field of 80 kA/m and about1000 ppm at 239 kA/*** addition,the composite exhibits a large saturation magnetostrictionλ_Ⅱover1200 ppm from 300 to 100 K,suggesting its potential applications as a low-cost magnetostrictive material in a wide temperature ***,the current study offers an opportunity to widen the operating temperature range of the magnetostrictive composite.

The real-time monitoring of the weld pool during deposition is important for automatic control in plasma arc additive *** obtain a high deposition accuracy,it is essential to maintain a stable weld pool *** this study,a novel passive visual method is proposed to measure the weld pool *** the proposed method,the image q.ality was improved by designing a special visual system that employed an endoscope and a *** also includes pixel brightness-based and gradient-based algorithms that can adaptively detect feature points at the boundary when the weld pool geometry *** algorithm can also be applied to materials with different solidification *** was performed to measure the real weld pool length in world coordinates,and outlier rejection was performed to increase the accuracy of the ***,tests were carried out on the intersection component,and the results showed that the proposed method performed well in tracking the changing weld pool length and was applicable to the real-time monitoring of different types of materials.

Lithospheric strength of the Anatolian plateau and implications for strong earthq.ake activity in Turkey

On February 6, 2023, the doublet earthq.ake including two main shocks with magnitudes M_(W)7.8 and M_(W)7.5, occurred near the western side of the East Anatolian Fault at the southeast boundary of the Anatolian Plateau in Turkey. Based on the WGM2012 Bouguer gravity anomaly data and the Etopo1topography data, this study first introduced a joint inversion of admittance and coherence functions and used the Bayesian optimal parameter estimation method to obtain the effective elastic thickness Teand loading ratio F of the lithosphere for various tectonic units in the Anatolian Plateau. Secondly, we discussed the characteristics and influencing factors of the lithospheric mechanical strength and analyzed its relationship with seismic activity. The lithospheric mechanical strength of the Anatolian Plateau showed clear lateral heterogeneity and a "weak-strong-weak" spatial pattern from east to west,reflecting various tectonic processes. At last, the strong seismic activity was found where the lithospheric strength was low in the Anatolian Plate. We also incorporated GPS strain rate and other results to investigate the tectonic background and primary causes of the M_(W)7.8 and M_(W)7.5 doublet earthq.akes in Turkey. The results have a good insight into urban safety design in the Turkish region, including postdisaster rehabilitation, earthq.ake hazard assessment, and loss reduction.

Comprehensive analysis of clinical and biological value of ING family genes in liver cancer

A Hybrid Signal Processing Method Combining Mathematical Morphology and Walsh Theory for Power q.ality Disturbance Detection and Classification

In this paper, a novel signal processing method combining mathematical morphology (MM) and Walsh theory is proposed, which uses Walsh functions to control the structuring element (SE) and MM operators. Based on the Walsh-MM method, a scheme for power q.ality disturbances detection and classification is developed, which involves three steps: denoising, feature extraction and morphological clustering. First, various evolution rules of Walsh function are used to generate groups of SEs for the multiscale Walsh-ordered morphological operation, so the original signal can be denoised. Next, the fundamental wave of the denoised signal is suppressed by Hadamard matrix;thus, disturbances can be extracted. Finally, the Walsh power spectrum of the waveform extracted in the previous step is calculated, and the parameters of which are taken by morphological clustering to classify the disturbances. Simulation results reveal the proposed scheme can effectively detect and classify disturbances, and the Walsh-MM method is less affected by noise and only involves simple calculation, which has a potential to be implemented in hardware and more suitable for real-time application.
