Influence of high-temperature oxidation of SiC powders on curing properties of SiC slurry for digital light processing

Fabrication of silicon carbide(SiC)ceramics by digital light processing(DLP)technology is difficult owing to high refractive index and high ultraviolet(UV)absorptivity of SiC *** surface of the SiC powders can be coated with silicon oxide(SiO_(2))with low refractive index and low UV absorptivity via high-temperature oxidation,reducing the loss of UV energy in the DLP process and realizing the DLP preparation of the SiC ***,it is necessary to explore a high-temperature modification process to obtain a better modification effect of the SiC ***,the high-temperature modification behavior of the SiC powders is thoroughly investigated in this *** results show that nano-scale oxide film is formed on the surface of the SiC powders by short-time high-temperature oxidation,effectively reducing the UV absorptivity and the surface refractive index(nʹ)of the SiC *** the oxidation temperature is 1300℃,compared with that of unoxidized SiC powders,the UV absorptivity of oxidized SiC powders decreases from 0.5065 to 0.4654,and a curing depth of SiC slurry increases from 22±4 to 59±4μ***,SiC green bodies are successfully prepared by the DLP with the the oxidized powders,and flexural strength of SiC sintered parts reaches 47.9±2.3 MPa after 3 h of atmospheric sintering at 2000℃without any sintering aid.

The exotic deformed nucleus^(31)Ne is studied with an approach that combines self-consistent structure and reaction *** deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum(DRHBc)is utilized to demonstrate that deformation and pairing correlations give rise to a halo structure with a large-amplitude p-wave configuration in^(31)*** the valence nucleon wave functions and angle-averaged density distributions of ^(30)Ne from this theory are used as input for the Glauber reaction model to study the observables of neutron-rich neon isotopes to search halo *** NL1 effective interaction,our predictions of the reaction cross sections for these exotic neon isotopes on a carbon target can better reproduce the experimental data than those from the relativistic mean field model for a spherical shape with resonances and pairing correlation contributions,and are roughly 3.3%(∼50 mb)larger than those with Gaussian function-fitted densities of the core *** calculated one-neutron removal cross section at 240 MeV/nucleon,and the inclusive longitudinal momentum distribution of the 30Ne residues from the^(31)Ne breakup reaction are largely improved over previous theoretical predictions and agree well with *** reaction evalu-ations indicate a dilute density distribution in coordinate space and are a canonical signature of a halo ***,our predictions with the NL3 and PK1 effective interactions give slightly better descriptions of reaction observables for exotic neon isotopes.

The development of large-format detector arrays with background-limited performance is of particular interest at the terahertz(THz) band, which is a unique band in search of our cosmic origins. With high sensitivity and being more promising in the pixel number and multiplexing technology, superconducting kinetic inductance detectors(KID) are emerging as a major choice of detectors of this type. Here we fabricate three-THz-band(0.35/0.85/1.4 THz) KIDs on a single chip from a 120-nm-thick aluminum(Al) superconducting film and measure photon-noise-limited performance and intrinsic generation-recombination noise at high(>1 p W) and low(<1 f W) optical radiation power, respectively. Their responses to blackbody(optical) radiation are proven to be purely from photons compared with the responses of two dark KIDs intentionally arranged on the same detector chip. The lowest optical noise equivalent power(NEP) reaches 6×10^(-18)W/Hz^(0.5)and the optical coupling efficiency is in the range of 49%-56% for the three KIDs, which are in good agreement with the simulation results.

Facile green oxidation methods are always desired to functionalize carbon nanotubes(CNTs)in the production of advanced CNT/epoxy *** the present work,an optimized H2O2/H2O/O3 oxidation method was developed,and performances of the H2O2/H2O/O3 oxidized CNT in epoxy matrix were tested and compared with that of the H2O/O3 oxidized CNT and the most commonly used concentrated HNO3 oxidized *** physical and chemical characteristics of the obtained oxidized CNTs were systematically characterized via transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and *** performances of the obtained composites were explored by tensile tests,impact tests,dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)and fracture toughness *** was found that the H2O2/H2O/O3 oxidized CNT exhibited all-around overwhelming advantages over the concentrated HNO3 oxidized CNT on reinforcing the epoxy matrix,while the H2O/O3 oxidized CNT only improved the material *** mechanisms for the different methods oxidized CNTs were studied and *** optimized H2O2/H2O/O3 oxidation method makes scaled production possible,avoids environment pollutions,and holds great potentials to replace the most commonly used concentrated HNO3 oxidation method to oxidize CNT during the preparation of the advanced CNT/epoxy composite.

With the exploration of novel sustainable protocol for functional polyamides'(PAs)construction as the starting point,herein,the small molecular model compound(M 1-ssbiC)was prepared firstly by manual grinding of monofunctional benzoxazine(1a)and isocyanide(1 b)via solid-state benzoxazine-isocyanide chemistry(ssbiC)to evaluate the feasibility of *** PAs(P1-series polymers)were subsequently synthesized from biunctional benzoxazine(2a)and isocyanide(2b),and the influence of the loading of catalyst(octylphosphonic acid)(OPA)on the polymerization was ***,two kinds of cross-linked PAs were successfully constructed via ssbiC by using trifunctional benzoxazine(3a)and cross-linked polybenzoxazine(4a)as reaction substrates,respectively,thus verifying the adaptability of *** characterization indicates that amide,phenolic hydroxyl and tertiary amine substructures,with metal-complexing capability,have been successfully integrated into the obtained PAs.A type of representative PA/silver composite(P3-AgNPs)was prepared subsequently via in situ reduction treatment,and its application as recyclable reduction catalyst for organic pollutant p-nitrophenol(4-NP)was preliminarily investigated here to provide the example for possible downstream application of *** think that this current work could provide a new pathway for the construction of functional PAs through facile and sustainable ssbiC protocol.

The silica-based ceramic core has attracted much attention in the preparation of hollow blades due to its great *** this paper,the silica-based ceramic cores reinforced with ZrSiO_(4) were prepared by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)combined with vacuum infiltration(VI).To enhance the infiltration effect,the pre-sintered bodies with high porosity and hydrophilicity were obtained by pre-sintering at 1100℃.Results showed that a large number of silica particles infiltrated into the pre-sintered *** infiltrated silica promoted the generation of liquid phase in sintering,thereby promoting the removal of pores and the connection of ***,the dispersed ZrSiO_(4) grains prevented the viscous flow of the liquid phase,thereby increasing the ***_(4) grains could hinder the propagation of cracks due to their high *** the addition of ZrSiO_(4) was 10 wt.%,room-temperature flexural strength of silica-based ceramic cores infiltrated with slurry S1(the mass ratio of silica sol to silica powder was 10:1)reached 17.21 MPa due to the reinforcement of sintering ***,high-temperature flexural strength reached 13.90 ***,the pre-sintering process could greatly improve the mechanical properties of silica-based ceramic cores prepared by LPBF-VI technology.

The Large High-Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO)recently published measurements of diffuse Galactic gamma-ray emission(DGE)in the 10−1000 TeV energy *** measured DGE flux is significantly higher than the expectation from hadronic interactions between cosmic rays(CRs)and the interstellar *** excess has been proposed to originate from unknown extended sources produced by electron radiation,such as pulsar wind nebulae or pulsar halos(PWNe/halos).In this paper,we propose a new perspective to explain the DGE excess observed by *** masking regions used in the LHAASO DGE measurement may not fully encompass the extended signals of PWNe/*** employing a two-zone diffusion model for electrons around pulsars,we find that the DGE excess in most regions of the Galactic plane can be well explained by the signal leakage model under certain *** results indicate that this signal leakage from known sources and contributions from unresolved sources should be considered as complementary in explaining the DGE excess.

BACKGROUND Extramedullary plasmacytoma(EMP)represents one of the rarer forms of plasma cell malignancies,capable of impacting a variety of tissues and organs throughout the *** majority of EMP cases are predominantly found in the head and neck region,especially within the laryngopharynx,as well as in the gastrointestinal *** there have been documented instances of oropharyngeal involvement in EMP cases in the academic literature,it is important to note that EMP specifically affecting the uvula is exceedingly ***,it is noteworthy that over 60% of epithelial carcinomas in the upper respiratory tract and oropharynx tend to metastasize to the cervical lymph nodes,indicating a propensity for regional spread in these types of *** this context,we present a rare case of extramedullary plasmacytoma where the uvula served as the initially affected *** case emphasizes the need for heightened awareness among clinicians regarding such unusual comorbidities,as early recognition and diagnosis can significantly influence patient management and treatment *** addition,a review of the relevant literature is included to further educate and inform healthcare professionals about this rare presentation,ultimately aiming to enhance clinical understanding and improve patient care in similar *** SUMMARY A 51-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of a slowly enlarging neck mass.A physical examination revealed a palpable left lymph node,and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the oropharynx and the neck showed a soft tissue mass in the oropharynx and enlargement of multiple lymph nodes in the *** soft tissue mass was diagnosed as plasmacytoma by immunohistochemical *** immunoglobulins and bone marrow biopsy showed normal ***,we diagnosed that as EMP of the *** four cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy dominated by bortezomib,MRI reexamination showed a significant reduction of the mass
