Long Non-coding RNA PCED1B Antisense RNA 1 Promotes Cell Proliferation and Invasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Regulating the MicroRNA-34a/CD44 Axis

Objective This study aimed to examine the role of long non-coding RNA PCED1B antisense RNA 1(PCED1B-AS1)in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods A total of 62 pairs of HCC tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues were obtained from 62 HCC *** interactions of PCED1B-AS1 and microRNA-34a(miR-34a)were detected by dual luciferase activity assay and RNA pull-down *** RNA expression levels of PCED1B-AS1,miR-34a and CD44 were detected by RT-qPCR,and the protein expression level of CD44 was determined by Western *** cell proliferation was detected by cell proliferation assay,and the cell invasion and migration by transwell invasion *** HCC tumor growth after PCED1B-AS1 was downregulated was determined by in vivo animal *** PCED1B-AS1 was highly expressed in HCC tissues,which was associated with poor survival of HCC ***,PCED1B-AS1 interacted with miR-34a in HCC cells,but they did not regulate the expression of each ***,PCED1B-AS1 increased the expression level of CD44,which was targeted by *** cell proliferation and invasion assay revealed that miR-34a inhibited the proliferation and invasion of HCC in vitro,while CD44 exhibited the opposite ***,PCED1B-AS1 suppressed the role of ***,the knockdown of PCED1B-AS1 repressed the HCC tumor growth in nude mice in *** PCED1B-AS1 may play an oncogenic role by regulating the miR-34a/CD44 axis in HCC.

[目的]阐明不同粉碎程度的秸秆还田对红壤理化性质和水流运动特征的影响,为南方红壤区秸秆还田管理提供参考。[方法]通过室内进行的秸秆还田试验研究了不同破碎程度(粉末状、3~5 cm切碎状和30 cm整根状)的玉米和水稻秸秆还田对红壤有机质和养分含量、团聚体稳定性、容重和水流运动非均匀系数的影响。[结果]3种秸秆还田处理均增大了秸秆还田层和底土层的土壤有机质含量,其中玉米和水稻粉末状秸秆还田处理的还田层土壤有机质含量分别增加了30.84%和41.63%;秸秆还田处理虽有利于增加土壤中氮、磷、钾等营养元素的含量,但玉米和水稻秸秆还田处理在秸秆腐解初期的土壤铵态氮含量分别降低了21.49%和27.83%、土壤速效磷含量分别降低了17.62%和23.29%,因此秸秆还田时需要配施氮肥和磷肥以缓解秸秆腐解初期土壤氮磷元素不足;3种秸秆还田处理均增大了秸秆还田层的土壤团聚体平均重量直径、降低了土壤容重,其中玉米和水稻粉末状秸秆还田处理的土壤团聚体平均重量直径分别增加176.19%和200.95%、土壤容重分别降低7.50%和8.33%;3种秸秆还田处理均增大了灌溉入渗水流运动的非均匀性,其中整根状秸秆还田处理整体和侧面优先流通道弯曲系数分别增大了1.25~2.02倍和5.44~6.05倍。[结论]秸秆的粉碎程度越高,其对还田土壤理化性质的改良越迅速,但同时也增大了土壤水流运动的非均匀性。

Numerical simulation of slag layer and its distribution on hot surface of copper stave based on ANSYS birth-death element technology

The core of the long-life copper stave was to ensure the stability of the slag layer,and the uniform distribution of the slag layer was beneficial to restrict the generation of the overthick slag layer.A novel model for calculating the thickness and distribution of the slag layer in the part of copper stave was established based on the finite element theory through the ANSYS birth-death element *** distribution and thickness of the slag layer on the hot surface of copper stave were calculated and analyzed when the gas temperature and slag properties tended to be changed,which was applied to characterize the slag-hanging capability of copper stave with the changes of furnace *** was shown that the thickness of hot surface slag layer in the part of copper stave decreased obviously while the temperature of stave body raised rapidly with increasing gas *** the gas temperature was 1400℃,the inlaid slag layer was gradually melted,and the maximum temperature of the stave body was closed to 120℃.The change of gas temperature was very sensitive to the adherent dross capability of copper stave which would be enhanced by the promotion of slag-hanging ***,when the slag-hanging temperature was 1150℃and the gas temperature was lower than 1250℃,the overlhick slag layer was easily formed on the hot surface of the copper stave,and its stability was *** improvement in the thermal conductivity of slag could be conducive to the formation of the uniform and stable slag layer on the hot surface of copper stave,especially in the dovetail *** the thermal conductivity of the slag was greater than 1.8 W m^(-2)℃^(-1),the inlaid slag layer in the dovetail groove was not melted,although the gas temperature reached 1500℃.

Ferritin stores and releases iron ions in *** is globally important as a drug *** is because of its unique hollow-spherical structure,desirable stability and biological *** drug-loading approaches plus various functionalization approaches have been developed to improve ferritin in response to differing demands in disease ***,we critically review ferritin drug delivery and evaluate its diverse drug-loading and functionalization approaches,we:(1)Introduce basic structural and property information related to ferritin as a drug nanocarrier;(2)Contrast in detail the different means to load drugs and the selection of drug loading means;(3)Discuss multiple ferritin functionalization approaches,together with related advantages and potential risks;and,(4)Compare ferritin with alternative,commonly-used drug *** conclude that despite that no drugs based on ferritin are commercially available,the market potential for it is significant,and evaluate future research *** from this work will be of immediate benefit and interest to a wide range of researchers and manufacturers for drug delivery using ferritin.

Effects of intensive control of blood glucose and blood pressure on microvascular complications in patients with type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus

AIM: To evaluate the effects of intensive control of blood glucose and blood pressure on microvascular complications in patients with type Ⅱ diabetes by comparing the therapeutic effects of intensive and standard treatment in patients with type Ⅱ diabetes. METHODS: A total of 107 patients with type Ⅱ diabetes were randomly assigned into intensive and standard treatment groups. Patients in the intensive treatment group received preterax (perindopril/ indapamide) to control blood pressure, and gliclazide (diamicron) MR to control blood glucose. Patients in the standard treatment group received routine medications or placebo. Urinary microalbumin (UMA), urinary creatinine (UCR), the UMA/ UCR ratio, and visual acuity were monitored according to the study design of the ADVANCE trial. Direct ophthalmoscopy and seven-field stereoscopic retinal photography were used to examine the fundi at baseline,and repeated after 5 years of treatment. RESULTS: The characteristics of patients in both groups were well balanced at baseline. After 5 years of treatment, visual acuity was found to be decreased in the standard group (P=0.04), but remained stable in the intensive group. The severity of diabetic retinopathy had not progressed in patients in the intensive group, but had deteriorated in the standard group (P=0.0006). The UMA/UCR ratio was not obviously changed in patients in the intensive group, whereas it was significantly increased in the standard group (P=0.00). CONCLUSION: Intensive control of blood glucose and blood pressure can decrease the incidence or slow the progression of microvascular complications in patients with type Ⅱ diabetes, and maintain stable vision.

Conditional Connectivity of Bubble Sort Graphs

A subset F V（G） is called an Rk-vertex-cut of a graph G if G - F is disconnected and each vertex of G - F has at least k neighbors in G - F. The Rk-vertex-connectivity of G, denoted by κk（G）, is the cardinality of a minimum Rk-vertex-cut of G. Let Bn be the bubble sort graph of dimension n. It is known that κk（Bn） = 2k（n - k - 1） for n _〉 2k and k = 1,2. In this paper, we prove it for k =3 and conjecture that it is true for all k ∈ N. We also prove that the connectivity cannot be more than conjectured.

Insight into the particle shape on the impact of dry granular flow against a rigid barrier: A DEM study

The effect of particle shape on the impact of dry granular flow remains an open area for further investigation. Five distinct particle shapes were examined in this study using discrete element simulations after calibrating the numerical model using a published work. The findings indicated that the particle shape had a significant influence on granular mobility. With negligible variations in normalized kinetic energy between particles of different shapes， the effect of particle shape on the increasing rate of kinetic energy became more obvious. All irregular particle scenarios had longer accumulated particle lengths down the channel than spherical particles. Variations in particle shape led to adjustments in the distribution of impact forces on the barrier. These findings substantially enhance our understanding of the distinctive effects of particle shapes on the impact mechanism of dry granular flow.

UV curable hyperbranched prepolymers based on amine-ester, ester-amide and ether-amide started with AB_2-type monomers have been prepared by the authors. A series of work on allyl ether maleate hyperbranched polyesters for UV curing coatings by Hult and his colleagues has been reported. However, the UV cured films from those materials are all flammable when attached to fire without addition of flame retardants.
