We obtain rigidity results on arbitrary proper holomorphic maps F from an irreducible bounded symmetric domain Ω of rank ≥2 into any complex space Z. After lifting to the normalization of the subvariety F (Ω) Z, we prove that F must be the canonical projection map to the quotient space of Ω by a finite group of automorphisms. The approach is along the line of the works of Mok and Tsai by considering radial limits of bounded holomorphic functions derived from F and proving that proper holomorphic maps between bounded symmetric domains preserve certain totally geodesic subdomains. In contrast to the previous works, in general we have to deal with multivalent holomorphic maps for which Fatou’s theorem cannot be applied directly. We bypass the difficulty by devising a limiting process for taking radial limits of correspondences arising from proper holomorphic maps and by elementary estimates allowing us to define distinct univalent branches of the underlying multivalent map on certain subsets. As a consequence of our rigidity result, with the exception of Type-IV domains, any proper holomorphic map f : Ω→ D of Ω onto a bounded convex domain D is necessarily a biholomorphism. In the exceptional case where Ω is a Type-IV domain, either f is a biholomorphism or it is a double cover branched over a totally geodesic submanifold which can be explicitly described.

There is growing recognition that neutrophils play an important role in cancer initiation, progression and metastasis. Although they are typically characterized as short-lived effector cells, neutrophils have been shown to acquire immunosuppressive and pro-tumorigenic functions that promote tumor progression and escape. As such, inhibition of their function or depletion of neutrophils are being explored as potential cancer therapies. However, growing evidence of neutrophil diversification in cancer and their potential anti-tumor roles raise many unresolved questions. Here, we review recent advances that address the definition,origin and function of neutrophils in cancer, and elaborate on obstacles that make the study of neutrophils challenging. We envision that this review will provide the groundwork for focused design of therapeutics that will specifically target "tumorreprogrammed" neutrophils while sparing normal neutrophils to improve patient outcomes.

With the fast-pace digitalization evolution in the current generation’s lifestyle and the industry revolution,the energy demand has been ***,the two-dimensional(2D)bismuth-based nanomaterials emerged as a promising photocatalyst candidate in solar fuel conversion,not only for its exceptional light absorption capability and tunable optical properties,but it also can be synthesized into diverse variety of nanomaterials with different ranges of potential gap and band position to fulfill the potential requirement of wide range of photocatalytic ***,the weak light harvesting ability and ultrafast charge recombination has restricted its potential in commercial ***,recent researches have been focusing on tackling these issues by incorporating some modification strategies such as heteroatom doping,vacancy engineering,facet engineering,bismuth rich strategy and heterojunction ***,this review article presents the state-of-the-art modifications on 2D bismuth-based parent material,specifically on the relationship between each of the modification strategy on the electronic properties and surface chemistry in achieving boosted photocatalytic *** the view of the unique charge interaction between two semiconductors with different dimensions,we systematically discuss the rational heterostructure design from the dimensionality perspective,namely,point-to-face,line-to-face,face-to-face,and bulk-to-face in solar fuel conversion to provide inspiring insights for future interface ***,the challenges and the future research outlook in the solar-to-fuel conversion are highlighted to push forward the design of high-performance bismuth-based photocatalyst in realizing commercialscale solar-to-fuel conversion.

Motivated by problems arising from Arithmetic Geometry,in an earlier article one of the authors studied germs of holomorphic isometries between bounded domains with respect to the Bergman *** the case of a germ of holomorphic isometry f:(Δ,λ ds 2Δ ;0) → (Ω,ds 2Ω ;0) of the Poincar disk Δ into a bounded symmetric domain Ω C N in its Harish-Chandra realization and equipped with the Bergman metric,f extends to a proper holomorphic isometric embedding F:(Δ,λ ds 2Δ) → (Ω,ds 2Ω) and Graph(f) extends to an affine-algebraic variety V  C × C *** of F which are not totally geodesic have been *** arise primarily from the p-th root map ρ p:H → H p and a non-standard holomorphic embedding G from the upper half-plane to the Siegel upper half-plane H 3 of genus *** the current article on the one hand we examine second fundamental forms σ of these known examples,by computing explicitly σ *** the other hand we study on the theoretical side asymptotic properties of σ for arbitrary holomorphic isometries of the Poincar disk into *** such mappings expressing via the inverse Cayley transform in terms of the Euclidean coordinate τ=s + it on the upper half-plane H,we have φ(τ)=t 2 u(τ),where u t=0 ≡ *** show that u must satisfy the first order differential equation u t | t=0 ≡ 0 on the real axis outside a finite number of points at which u is *** a by-product of our method of proof we show that any non-standard holomorphic isometric embedding of the Poincar disk into the polydisk must develop singularities along the boundary *** equation φuφt | t=0 ≡ 0 along the real axis for holomorphic isometries into polydisks distinguishes the latter maps from holomorphic isometries into Siegel upper half-planes arising from *** the end of the article we formulate characterization problems for holomorphic isometries suggested both by the theoretical and the computational results of the article.

Aims to determine the detectability of a global weedy perennial weed Hypochaeris radicata and its relationship with five common observer,species and environmental *** trained independent observers conducted time-limited repeat sur-veys of *** during autumn in an endangered grassy box-gum woodland ecosystem in south-east ***-species single-season site-occupancy modelling was used to determine if detectability of *** was altered by five covariates,observer,litter height,grazing,maximum plant height and flowering *** Findings Detectability for *** varied significantly with observer,litter height,plant maximum height and flowering state,but not with *** significant observer-specific variation,there was a con-sistent increase in detectability with plant height and when plants are in flower for all *** generally decreased as litter height *** or constant detection rates cannot be assumed in plant surveys,even for easily recognizable plants in simple survey *** how detectability is influ-enced by common survey variables can help improve the efficacy of plant monitoring programs by quantifying the extent of uncertainty in inferences made from survey data,or by determining optimal sur-vey conditions to increase the reliability of collected *** plants with traits similar to ***,surveying when most plants are at maximum height or in flower,increasing search intensity when litter levels are high and minimizing observer-related heterogeneity are potentially simple and effective ways to reduce detection *** speculate that detection rates may be lower,more variable and involve additional covariates when surveying during the peak flow-ering spring season with the presence of more warm season and taller annual species.

The two component molecules of the co-crystal 0.69（C18H2ON206）.0.31（C18H18N2O6） lie on a center-of-inversion that exists midway along the ethylene chain connecting the two aromatic rings. The two molecules are superimposed. The crystal is also a non-morohedral twin with a minor 37.7（2）% component. The refinement of this twinned and disordered crystal structure is detailed. Crystal data： C18H19.38N2O6, monoclinic, P21/c, a = 17.1687（8）, b = 5.4389（2）, c = 9.3261（4） A, b = 95.270（5）° and V= 867.18（6） A3 at -173 ℃.

Previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of a novel three-layer landfill cover system constructed with recycled concrete aggregates(RCAs)without geomembrane in both laboratory and ***,no systematic investigation has been carried out to optimize the combination of the particle sizes for fine-grained RCAs(FRC)and coarse-grained RCAs(CRC)that can be used for the three-layer landfill cover *** aim of this paper is to assist engineers in designing the three-layer landfill cover system under a rainfall of 100-year return period in humid climate conditions using an easily controlled soil parameter D10 of *** numerical study reveals that when D10 of FRC increases from 0.05 mm to 0.16 mm,its saturated permeability increases by 10 *** a result,a larger amount of rainwater infiltrates into the cover system,causing a higher lateral diversion in both the top FRC and middle CRC *** further changes in the lateral diversion are observed when the D10 value of FRC is larger than 0.16 *** the particle sizes of FRC and CRC layers are shown to have a minor influence on the percolation under the extreme rainfall *** implies that the selection of particle sizes for the FRC and CRC layers can be based on the availability of *** it is well known that the bottom layer of the cover system should be constructed with very fine-grained soils if possible,this study provides an upper limit to the particle size that can be used in the bottom layer(D10 not larger than 0.02 mm).With this limit,the three-layer system can still minimize the water percolation to meet the design criterion(30 mm/yr)even under a 100-year return period of rainfall in humid climates.
