Ch.omosomal aberrations and nucleic acids systems affected by some Egyptian medicinal plants used in treating female pregnant diabetic rats

Th. influences of medicinal plants Juniperus Ph.enicea (Araar), h.ph.ene th.baica (Doum), An-astatica h.eroch.ntica (Kafta) and Cleome droserifolia (Sammo) as antidiabetic agents were investigated using female pregnant albino rats. Female rats were injected with.60 mg/kg b.w. alloxan to induce diabe-tes. Diabetic rats treated orally with.th. meth.nol extracts of tested plants till th. 19 day of gestation. Th. present studies include th. frequencies of ch.o-mosomal aberrations and nucleic acid system of liver in th. female pregnant rats and th.ir embryos. Th. results sh.wed th.t injection of alloxan caused h.gh.y significant increase in ch.omosomal aberrations as well as in blood glucose levels as a result of diabetes in pregnant females. It also caused a h.gh.incidence of ch.omosomal deviation in embryos and decreased th. liver soluble protein contents of female rats and th.ir embryos. Th.se effects in alloxanized animals were treated and improved by ingestion of th. meth.nol extracts of th. tested plants (Araar, Doum, Kafta and Somma) in wh.ch.under th.ir treatments, th. inceased level of blood glu-cose of diabetic rats was deceased. Ingestion with.th. plants meth.nolic extracts improved and normalized th. effects of diabetes in nucleic acids values of liver tissues. Th.se were accompanied with.nucleases (RNAase and DNAase) activities. Th. inh.bited ac-tivities of both.DNA ase and RNA ase of pregnant rats and th.ir embryos were stimulated and read-justed around th. normal values. Also administration of th. plants meth.nol extracts decreased th. per-centage of ch.omosomal aberrations in th. female rats and embryos. It is concluded th.t th.re are some bioch.mical dynamics wh.ch.migh. occur in th. metabo-lism of glucose, nucleic acids and proteins in order to prevent or to reduce th. oxidative stress of diabetes by flavonoides treatment.

Th. antioxidative effects of some medicinal plants as h.poglycemic agents on ch.omosomal aberration and abnormal nucleic acids metabolism produced by diabetes stress in male adult albino rats

Th. objectives of th. present study are to evaluate th. ch.omosomal aberrations in somatic and germ cells of alloxanized diabetic rats treated with.meth.nolic extracts of Cleome droserifolia (Sammo), Anastatica h.eroch.ntica (Kafta), Juniperus ph.encea (Araar) and h.ph.ene th.baica (Doum) as well as th.ir effects on blood glucose, liver and testes total soluble protein, DNA and RNA contents and also nucleases (RNAase and DNAase) activity. Th. material and Meth.ds: Th. study was performed in six groups. Th. first group was th. normal h.alth. control;th. second group was rats injected with.alloxan (diabetic control). Every one of th. oth.r four groups (diabetic rats) was ingested with.each.of th. meth.nolic extracts of Kafta, Doum, Sammo and Araar (individually). Th. results: Th. results of ch.omosomal analysis sh.wed th.t, diabetic rats h.d a h.gh.y significant increase of ch.omosomal aberrations compared to th.t of normal h.alth. control. Animals wh.ch.treated with.th. four plants meth.nolic extracts sh.wed significant improvements in th. frequencies of ch.omosomal aberrations. In case of bioch.mical analysis, blood glucose level was significantly increased but immunoglobulins levels were decreased in diabetic albino rats. Diabetes increased serum total lipids, ch.lesterol, triglycerides and LDL but serum h.L was decreased. RNA and DNA as well as inh.bited th. nucleases (RNAase and DNAase) activity of both.organs (liver and testes) tissue. Th. conclusions: It is concluded th.t diabetes is much.h.rmful in th. animal body, wh.lst th. induction of flavonoids extract (by meth.nol) of Kafta, Somma, Araar and Doum reduced th.se h.rmful of diabetes.

h.ndwritten ch.racter recognition is considered ch.llenging compared with.mach.ne-printed ch.racters due to th. different h.man writing *** is morph.logically rich.and its ch.racters h.ve a h.gh.*** Arabic language includes 28 *** ch.racter h.s up to four sh.pes according to its location in th. word(at th. beginning,middle,end,and isolated).Th.s paper proposed 12 CNN arch.tectures for recognizing h.ndwritten Arabic *** proposed arch.tectures were derived from th. popular CNN arch.tectures,such.as VGG,ResNet,and Inception,to make th.m applicable to recognizing ch.racter-size *** experimental results on th.ee well-known datasets sh.wed th.t th. proposed arch.tectures significantly enh.nced th. recognition rate compared to th. baseline *** experiments sh.wed th.t data augmentation improved th. models’accuracies on all tested *** proposed model outperformed most of th. existing *** best ach.eved results were 93.05%,98.30%,and 96.88%on th. h.JJA,Ah.D,and AIA9K datasets.

Th. ch.mical composition and th.rmal properties of natural fibers are th. most critical variables th.t determine th. overall properties of th. fibers and influence th.ir processing and use in different sustainable applications,such.as th.ir conversion into bioenergy and *** th.rmal and mech.nical properties can be estimated by evaluating th. content of cellulose,lignin,and oth.r extractives in th. *** th.s research.work,th. ch.mical composition and th.rmal properties of th.ee fibers,namely bagasse,kenaf bast fibers,and cotton stalks,were evaluated to assess th.ir potential utilization in producing biocomposites and bioenergy *** ch.mical composition analysis followed th. Tech.ical Association of th. Pulp and Paper Industry Standards(TAPPI)*** total ph.nol content was quantified using th. Folin-Ciocalteu meth.d,wh.le Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)was employed to assess th. ligh. absorption by th. *** evaluate th.rmal stability and h.gh.r h.ating values,Th.rmogravimetric Analysis(TGA),Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC),and bomb calorimetry were *** ch.mical analysis revealed th.t bagasse contained 50.6%cellulose and 21.6%lignin,kenaf bast fibers h.d 58.5%cellulose and 10%lignin,and cotton stalks exh.bited 40.3%cellulose and 21.3%*** FTIR curves demonstrated a notable similarity among th. *** TGA analysis sh.wed degradation temperatures of 321°C for bagasse,354°C for kenaf bast fibers,and 289°C for cotton *** DSC analysis revealed glass transition temperatures of 81°C for bagasse,66.3°C for cotton stalks,and 64.5°C for kenaf bast *** h.gh.r h.ating values were measured as 17.3,16.6 and 17.1 MJ/kg for bagasse,kenaf bast fibers,and cotton stalks,*** th.ee fibers h.ve a h.gh.potential for biocomposites and bioenergy material manufacturing.

A dynamic analysis of both.twisting and regular towers is carried out to determine th. results of considering soil-structure interaction(SSI)on h.gh.rise *** addition,th. difference between th. seismic performance of using twisting towers over regular ones is *** twisting tower is a simulation of th. Evolution Tower(Moscow).Th. towers’skeletons consist of RC elements and rest on a reinforced concrete piled-raft *** soil model is considered as multi-layered with.th. same soil properties as th. zone ch.sen for th. analysis(New Mansoura City,Egypt).Th. only difference between both.towers is th.ir sh.pe in *** wh.le system is modelled and analyzed in a single step as one full 3D model,wh.ch.is known as th. direct approach.in *** analyses are carried out using finite-element software(Midas GTS NX).Dynamic output responses due to th.ee records of seismic loads are proposed and presented in some *** on th. results,it is concluded th.t SSI h.s a considerable effect on th. dynamic response of tall buildings mainly because of th. foundation flexibility,as it leads to length.ning th. vibration period,increasing th. story drift and th. base sh.ar for both.cases.

Eth.dium bromide(EtBr)is one of th. contaminants recorded in aquatic environments wh.se effects h.ve been investigated;h.wever,th.re is still limited knowledge about its *** study examined th. potential protective effects of Spirulina platensis(SP)against th. effects of EtBr toxicity in th. Nile tilapia(Oreoch.omis niloticus)*** were divided to five groups,viz.,a control and four treatment groups of low-dose EtBr(10μg/L),low-dose EtBr with.SP(10μg/L EtBr+200 mg/L SP),h.gh.dose EtBr(100μg/L),and h.gh.dose EtBr with.SP(100μg/L EtBr+200 mg/L SP);th. exposure period was 2 *** and h.gh.doses of EtBr induced alterations in some h.matological,bioch.mical,and h.stopath.logical *** h.patocytes,degenerated area,vacuolated h.patocytes,pyknotic nuclei,constricted and dilated blood sinusoids,and infiltration of inflammatory cells were *** peroxidation concentration was not significantly different in groups exposed to low doses of EtBr and EtBr with.SP,but it was increased in groups exposed to h.gh.doses of EtBr and EtBr with.SP,compared with.th. control *** feeding with.SP,most h.stological and h.stoch.mical parameters restored to normal ***,SP may possess th. ability to preserve th. structural integrity of th. h.patic and renal membranes.

Morris Water Maze ***,vanillylacetone markedly decreased th. h.ppocampal tissue levels of inflammatory biomarkers(interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α,intracellular cell adh.sive molecules) and apoptosis biomarkers(Bax and cleaved caspase-3).Th. control and CdCl_(2)-treated groups treated with.va nillylacetone sh.wed reduced generation of reactive oxygen species,decreased malondialdeh.de levels,and increased superoxide dismutase and glutath.one activities,along with.significant elevation of nuclear Nrf2 mRNA and protein expression in h.ppocampal *** th. protective effects of vanillylacetone we re substantially blocked by th. co-administration of brusatol(a selective N rf2 inh.bitor).Va nillylacetone mitigated h.ppocampal damage and memory loss induced by CdCl_(2),at least in part, by activating th. nuclear transcription factor ***,vanillylacetone exerted its potent antioxidant and antiinflammatory actions.
