Background/Aim.: The objective of this study is to m.asure m.crophage inflam.atory protein one beta (m.P-1β), m.an platelet volum. (m.V) and platelet distribution width (PDW) to evaluate their usefulness in the diagnosis of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) in cirrhotic patients. m.terials and m.thods: This study com.rised 41 cirrhotic patients with ascites. m.V, PDW and m.P-1β were m.asured in serum.and ascitic fluid. Results: A significant increase m.V, PDW, C-reactive Protein (CRP) and white blood cell was observed in SBP group com.ared to non SBP (P ≤ 0.001, P = 0 β was significantly in-creased in ascitic fluid in patients with SBP versus non SBP (P ≤ 0.001). At cutoff value of 8.3 fl m.V had 85.7% sensitivity and 75% specificity (AUC = 0.876) for diagnosis of SBP. At cutoff value of 15.4 PDW had 90.4% sensitivity and 55% specificity (AUC = 0.762). At cutoff value of 121.9 pg/m. m.P-1β in ascitic fluid had 76.1% sensitivity and 100% specificity (AUC = 0.881) for detecting SBP. Conclusion: m.P-1β and platelet indices are useful m.rker in the diagnosis of SBP in cirrhotic patients. Com.ined m.asurem.nt of m.P-1β in serum.and ascitic fluid had 100% sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of SBP.

To m.et the rapidly increasing dem.nd for energy and the dram.tic depletion of conventional crude oil,it is im.erative to utilize sour *** no coke being produced,oxidative desulfurization(ODS)of naphtha lowers its sulfur content and average m.lecular *** this article,we outline a m.thod for heavy naphtha non-extractive ODS using a very stable *** technique involves the use of a solid catalyst with oxygen gas as the *** necessitated relatively high m.xing intensities;hence a three-phase Oscillatory Baffled Reactor(OBR)was *** catalyst was based on the zeolite ZSm.5,prepared from.natural kaolin by a series of delam.nation and activation steps and im.regnated with Fe.A TiO2 nanolayer was applied,using the sol-gel m.thod,to prevent rapid *** reactor perform.nce was evaluated to m.nim.ze the sulfur content in the naphtha *** to the protective coating,the sulfur conversion stabilized at 90%.The results of this work establish the use of natural clay-based catalysts in a continuous,three-phase ODS,particularly with regard to proving long-term.*** also showed that m.dest ODS can be achieved using an environm.ntally friendly oxidant,at m.ld operating conditions,whilst m.intaining stability.

Nephronophthisis-related ciliopathies(NPHP-RC)represent one of the m.st com.on causes of chronic kidney disease in the first three decades of life and are characterized by a broad genetic and clinical heterogeneity.1 To date,m.re than 90 genes have been identified that cause autosom.lrecessive NPHP-RC if m.tated,accounting for up to 60%of cases.1 Am.ng these,hom.zygous deletions of NPHP1 are the m.st com.on *** genes localize to prim.ry cilia,basal bodies,or the centrosom. and lead to a prim.ry ciliary disruption if m.tated,thereby causing a broad phenotypical spectrum.1 Patients that suffer from.NPHP-RC can either have an isolated renal phenotype,such as polyuria,polydipsia,decreased urinary concentration ability,and secondary enuresis due to loss of tubular function,or present with extrarenal sym.tom. including retinal degeneration,cerebellar verm.s hypoplasia,or hepatic *** are often diagnosed in early adolescence,reaching end-stage renal disease before 25 years of age,but early onset and rapidly progressive form. of NPHP-RC also exist.1 Renal ultrasound indicates kidneys of norm.l or reduced renal length with increased echogenicity and corticom.dullary cysts.

m.pping forests is an im.ortant process in m.naging natural *** present,due to spectral resolution lim.tations,m.ltispectral im.ges do not give a com.lete separation between different forest *** contrast,advances in rem.te sensing technologies have provided hyperspectral tools and im.ges as a solution for the determ.nation of *** this study,spectral signatures for stone pine（Pinus pinea L.） forests were collected using an advanced spectroradiom.ter ＂ASD FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res＂ with an accuracy of 1 *** spectral signatures are used to com.are between different m.ltispectral and hyperspectral satellite *** com.arison is based on processing satellite im.ges： hyperspectral Hyperion,hyperspectral CHRIS-Proba,Advanced Land Im.ger（ALI）,and Landsat *** and classification m.thods for hyperspectral and m.ltispectral im.ges are investigated and *** addition,a well-known hyperspectral im.ge classification algorithm.spectral angle m.pper（SAm.,has been im.roved to perform.the classification process efficiently based on collected spectral *** results show that the m.dified SAm.is 9% m.re accurate than the conventional *** addition,experim.nts indicate that the CHRIS-Proba im.ge is m.re accurate than Landsat 8（overall accuracy 82%,precision 93%,and Kappa coefficient 0.43 com.ared to 60,67%,and 0.035,respectively）.Sim.larly,Hyperion is better than ALI in m.pping stone pine（overall accuracy 92%,precision 97%,and Kappa coefficient 0.74 com.ared to 52,56%,and -0.032,respectively）.

BACKGROUND Assessing liver fibrosis is im.ortant for predicting the efficacy of direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)and patient ***-invasive techniques to assess liver fibrosis are becom.ng ***,serum.m.c-2 binding protein glycosylation isom.r(m.BPGi)was identified as a non-invasive m.rker of liver *** To investigate the diagnostic accuracy of m.BPGi in assessing liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C(CHC)treated with *** From.Decem.er 2017 to August 2018,80 treatm.nt-naive adult patients with CHC who were eligible for DAAs therapy were consecutively enrolled in this observational cohort *** 12 weeks,65 patients were treated with sofosbuvir/daclatasvir,and 15 patients were treated with sofosbuvir/daclatasvir and a weight-based dose of ribavirin at knowledge and technology association for hepatitis C m.nagem.nt clinic,Cairo,*** m.asured serum.m.BPGi levels,PAPAS index,fibrosis-4(FIB-4)score and liver stiffness m.asurem.nts(LSm.at baseline and 12 weeks after the end of *** m.BPGi levels were m.asured using enzym.-linked im.unosorbent *** All patients achieved sustained virologic response(SVR12)(100%).Serum.m.BPGi levels,LSm.FIB-4 score and PAPAS index decreased significantly at SVR12(Pm.m.BPGi levels correlated positively with LSm.at baseline and SVR12(Pm.ared with the FIB-4 score and PAPAS index,m.BPGi was the best m.rker to distinguish patients with grade F4 fibrosis(AUC=0.801,Pm.grade F0-1 fibrosis(AUC=0.713,P=0.012),patients with grade F3-4 from.grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.730,Pm.grade F0-1 fibrosis(AUC=0.763,Pm.BPGi had the greatest AUCs for differentiating patients with grade F4 fibrosis(AUC=0.844,Pm.grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.893,P=0.002),patients with grade F3-4 from.grade F0-2 fibrosis(AUC=0.891,P<0.001),and patients with grad
