The brain's extracellular matrix(ECm),which is comprised of protein and glycosam.n.glycan(GAG)scaffolds,constitutes 20%-40% of the hum.n.brain and is considered one of the largest influencers on brain cell functioning(Soles et al.,2023).Synthesized by neural and glial cells,the brain's ECm regulates a myriad of homeostatic cellular processes,including neuronal plasticity and firing(miyata et al.,2012),cation buffering(moraws ki et al.,2015),and glia-neuron interactions(Anderson et al.,2016).Considering the diversity of functions,dynamic remodeling of the brain's ECm indicates that this understudied medium is an active participant in both normal physiology and neurological diseases.

In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes （mWCnTs） were treated in an acidic mixture solution, made with nitric and sulfuric acids in a ratio of 3：1 by volume. The durations of the treatm.n. were 100 and 180 m.n. The defects of these treated mWCnTs were exam.n.d using Ram.n.spectroscopy. The attachm.n. of hydroxyl functional groups to the walls of the mWCnTs were verified using FTIR spectroscopy. The dispersion of CnTs with acid treatm.n. is assessed using UV-Vis spectroscopy and Scanning Electron microscopy （SEm）. The results indicate that the duration of the acid treatm.n. has significant effect on both the degree of defects and functionality of the mWCnT. The compressive strength of mortar increased with the addition of the acid-treated mWCnTs; however, no appreciable difference was noted for the two treatm.n. durations under this study.

Aneurysmal dilatation of the aortic sinuses of Valsalva has been most extensively docum.n.ed in the setting of aortopathies, particularly marfan syndrome. On the other hand, there is limited data in the literature about congenital sinus of Valsalva aneurysms outside this context. For the purpose of this review, we carried out a literature search on aneurysmal dilatation of the sinuses of Valsalva in marfan syndrome, and compared this with congenital sinus of Valsaiva aneurysms, also including data from a case series from our institution. In conclusion, there are differences in m.n.gem.n. of aortic dilatation in marfan syndrome and congenital sinus of Valsalva aneurysms. Though less weil-recognised, congenital aneurysms are often associated with significant morbidity and mortality and timely intervention is necessary.

After laser quenching and tempering of three kinds of annealed tool high-speed steel(W18Cr-4V, W9mo3Cr4V1, W6mo5Cr4V2) test samples, the microhardness measurer was used to test the samples and some problems, such as the hardness and depth of hardening-quenching layer were analyzed. Furthermore, after laser quenching and tempering of the quenched and three-time tempered high-speed steel (W18Cr4V) and its hardness analyzing, different results of laser-quenching samples were obtained under different initial heat-treating.

Spinal cord injury results in paralysis, sensory disturbances, sphincter dysfunction, and multiple systemic secondary conditions, most arising from autonomic dysregulation. All this produces profound negative psychosocial implications for affected people, their families, and their comm.n.ties;the financial costs can be challenging for their families and health institutions. Treatm.n.s aimed at restoring the spinal cord after spinal cord injury, which have been tested in animal models or clinical trials, generally seek to counteract one or more of the secondary mechanisms of injury to limit the extent of the initial damage. most published works on structural/functional restoration in acute and chronic spinal cord injury stages use a single type of treatm.n.: a drug or trophic factor, transplant of a cell type, and implantation of a biomaterial. Despite the significant benefits reported in animal models, when translating these successful therapeutic strategies to hum.n., the result in clinical trials has been considered of little relevance because the improvem.n., when present, is usually insufficient. Until now, most studies designed to promote neuroprotection or regeneration at different stages after spinal cord injury have used single treatm.n.s. Considering the occurrence of various secondary mechanisms of injury in the acute and sub-acute phases of spinal cord injury, it is reasonable to speculate that more than one therapeutic agent could be required to promote structural and functional restoration of the damaged spinal cord. Treatm.n.s that combine several therapeutic agents, targeting different mechanisms of injury, which, when used as a single therapy, have shown some benefits, allow us to assume that they will have synergistic beneficial effects. The dynamic leaching of lanthanides from a west desert phosphate ore, Egypt (Abu Tartur) by hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid solutions was investigated in this study as a function of acid concentration, flow rate and the presence of some additives such as boric acid.
