Kinetics of the direct reaction between ozone and phenol by high-gravity intensified heterogeneous catalytic ozonation

In this study,high-gravity intensified heterogeneous catalytic ozonation is utilized for treatment of phenol-containing wastewater,and the kinetics of the direct reaction between ozone and phenol in the presence of excess tertiary butanol(TBA)is investigated.It is revealed that the direct reaction between ozone and phenol in the rotating packed bed(RPB)follows the pseudo-first-order kinetics with a reaction rate constant higher than that in the conventional bubbling reactor(BR).Under different conditions of temperature,initial pH,high-gravity factor,and gaseous ozone concentration,the apparent reaction rate constant varies in the range of 0.0160–0.115 min-1.An empirical power-exponential model is established to characterize the effects of these parameters on the direct reaction between ozone and phenol by high-gravity intensified heterogeneous catalytic ozonation.

This study investigated the indirect oxidation of nitrobenzene(NB)by hydroxyl radicals(·OH)in a rotating packed bed(RPB)using competitive kinetics method with p-nitrochlorobenzene as a reference compound.The rate constants of NB with·OH are calculated to be between(1.465±0.113)×10^(9)L/(mol·s)and(2.497±0.192)×10^(9)L/(mol·s).The experimental data are fitted by the modified Arrhenius equation,where the activation energy is 4877.74 J/mol,the order of NB concentration,rotation speed,and initial pH is 0.2425,0.1400 and 0.0167,respectively.The ozonation process of NB could be enhanced by RPB,which is especially effective for highly concentrated NB-containing waste-water under alkaline conditions.The high gravity technology can accelerate ozone mass transfer and self-decomposition of ozone to produce more·OH,resulting in an increase in the indirect oxidation rate of NB by·OH and consequently effective degradation of NB in wastewater.

分别采用隔壁塔萃取精馏(EDWC)与隔壁塔共沸精馏(ADWC)工艺制取无水异丙醇(IPA),借助Aspen Plus模拟软件建立二塔等价模型,利用灵敏度分析对主塔进料位置、夹带剂用量、侧线采出位置、侧线采出量及回流比等参数进行优化,结合塔的设计规范,以此确定最佳工艺参数。模拟结果显示,与常规双塔工艺流程相比,在完成相同的分离要求下,EDWC工艺的冷凝器和再沸器热负荷分别降低32.38%,12.39%,设备费用和总年度费用分别节约29.34%,4.87%;ADWC工艺的冷凝器和再沸器热负荷分别降低29.57%,23.41%,设备费用和总年度费用分别节约16.87%,22.41%。ADWC用于制取无水IPA在节能降耗及节约设备成本方面表现出明显的优势。

Fear and delay effects on a food chain system with two kinds of different functional responses

For food chain system with three populations,direct predation is the basic interaction between species.Different species often have different predation functional responses,so a food chain system with Holling-II response for middle predator and Beddinton-DeAngelis response for top predator is proposed.Apart from direct predation,predator population can significantly impact the survival of prey population by inducing the prey's fear,but the impact often possesses a time delay.This paper is concentrated to explore how the fear and time delay affect the system stability and the species persistence.By use of Lyapunov functional method and bifurcation theory,the positiveness and boundedness of solutions,local and global behavior of species,the system stability around the equilibrium states and various kinds of bifurcation are investigated.Numerically,some simulations are carried out to validate the main findings and the critical values of the bifurcation parameters of fear and conversion rate are obtained.It is observed that fear and delay can not only stabilize,but also destabilize the system,which depends on the magnitude of the fear and delay.The system varies from unstable to stable due to the continuous increase of the prey's fear by middle predator.Small fear induced by top predator or small delay of the prey's fear can stabilize the system,while they are sufficiently large,the system stability is to be destroyed.Simultaneously,the conversion rate can also change the stability and even make the species to be extinct.Some rich dynamics like multiple stabilities and various types of bistability behaviors are also exhibited,which results in the convergence of the species from one stable equilibrium to another.

Aerial threat assessment is a crucial link in modern air combat, whose result counts a great deal for commanders to make decisions. With the consideration that the existing threat assessment methods have difficulties in dealing with high dimensional time series target data, a threat assessment method based on self-attention mechanism and gated recurrent unit(SAGRU) is proposed. Firstly, a threat feature system including air combat situations and capability features is established. Moreover, a data augmentation process based on fractional Fourier transform(FRFT) is applied to extract more valuable information from time series situation features. Furthermore, aiming to capture key characteristics of battlefield evolution, a bidirectional GRU and SA mechanisms are designed for enhanced features.Subsequently, after the concatenation of the processed air combat situation and capability features, the target threat level will be predicted by fully connected neural layers and the softmax classifier. Finally, in order to validate this model, an air combat dataset generated by a combat simulation system is introduced for model training and testing. The comparison experiments show the proposed model has structural rationality and can perform threat assessment faster and more accurately than the other existing models based on deep learning.

高纯度异丙醇被广泛用作电子清洁剂与溶剂。异丙醇生产中,异丙醇与副产物二异丙醚形成共沸物,普通精馏无法有效分离,可采用完全热集成变压精馏工艺进行分离。利用Aspen Plus流程模拟软件,首先以高压塔再沸器热负荷最低为目标,对工艺进行局部优化;然后以年度总费用(TAC)最低为目标,采用序贯迭代法,对工艺进行全局优化。结果表明,优化设计极大地节约了能量,年度总费用降至416567 USD/a、高压塔塔板数减少为21块、设备费用降至536094 USD、完全热集成负荷达到751.71 kW。利用Aspen Plus Dynamics软件,采用压力补偿控温策略与组成-温度串级控制,建立了动态控制结构,在进料流量与进料组成发生±20%扰动时,仍表现出较好控制效果。

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer is a global health concern that poses a significant threat to human well-being.AIM To detecting serum changes in carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigens(CA)724,CA242,and CA19-9 expression among patients with gastric cancer.METHODS Eighty patients diagnosed with gastric cancer between January 2020 and January 2023 were included in the observation group,while 80 patients with benign gastric diseases were included in the control group.Both groups were tested for tumor markers(CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9].Tumor marker indicators(CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9)were compared between the two groups,assessing positive rates of tumor markers across various stages in the observation group.Additionally,single and combined detection of various tumor markers were examined.RESULTS The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value observed for the combined detection of CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9 were higher than those of CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9 individually.Therefore,the combined detection of CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9 has a high diagnostic accuracy and could reduce the occurrence of missed or misdiagnosed cases,facilitating the early diagnosis and treatment of patients.CONCLUSION CA724,CEA,CA242,and CA19-9 serum levels in gastric cancer patients significantly surpassed those in non-gastric cancer patients(P<0.05).Their combined detection can improve the diagnostic accuracy for gastric cancer,warranting clinical promotion.

The pursuit of safer and high-performance lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)has triggered extensive research activities on solid-state batteries,while challenges related to the unstable electrode-electrolyte interface hinder their practical implementation.Polymer has been used extensively to improve the cathode-electrolyte interface in garnet-based all-solid-state LIBs(ASSLBs),while it introduces new concerns about thermal stability.In this study,we propose the incorporation of a multi-functional flame-retardant triphenyl phos-phate additive into poly(ethylene oxide),acting as a thin buffer layer between LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)cathode and garnet electro-lyte.Through electrochemical stability tests,cycling performance evaluations,interfacial thermal stability analysis and flammability tests,improved thermal stability(capacity retention of 98.5%after 100 cycles at 60℃,and 89.6%after 50 cycles at 80℃)and safety characteristics(safe and stable cycling up to 100℃)are demonstrated.Based on various materials characterizations,the mechanism for the improved thermal stability of the interface is proposed.The results highlight the potential of multi-functional flame-retardant additives to address the challenges associated with the electrode-electrolyte interface in ASSLBs at high temperature.Efficient thermal modification in ASSLBs operating at elevated temperatures is also essential for enabling large-scale energy storage with safety being the primary concern.

The endoplasmic reticulum(ER)is a cellular factory for biosynthesis of proteins and lipids.To accommodate a wide array of biosynthetic demands in responses to environmental stresses,the plant ER remodels to maintain a structural and functional homeostasis.A key process facilitating this balance is selective autophagy of the ER(ER-phagy),where malfunctioned ER is recognized,engulfed by autophagosomes,and then delivered to the vacuole for degradation.
