Adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)have considerable potential for bone ***,their performance is limited by a lack of scaffolds that adequately mimic the hierarchical structure of bone to promote proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of *** this study,nanofiber membranes composed of polycaprolactone,poly(lactide-co-glycolide),and hydroxyapatite(HAp)were prepared via electrospinning,and the membranes curled after responding to temperature stimuli in an aqueous *** electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy observations indicated that needle-like HAp nanoparticles with an average diameter of 57±39 nm and a length–diameter ratio of 7.4±1.56 were entrapped in the nanofiber matrix and did not affect the surface morphology of *** cutting and deformation,the nanofibers changed from straight to bent,and the diameters increased;they were 1105±200 nm for BPLG85-H and 1120±199 nm for ***,tubular units with a single layer(BPLG-H(1.5))or multiple layers(BPLG-H(3.5))were obtained by controlling the initial shape and size of the *** on the concave surface of BPLG-H(3.5)proliferated faster and exhibited better osteogenic activity than those on the convex side of BPLG-H(3.5)and both surfaces of BPLG-H(1.5),which was correlated with the higher expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor and bone morphogenetic protein ***,rADSCs on both units maintained osteogenic activity after storage at-80◦C for 20 *** rat skull defect(diameter of 8 mm)models,rADSC-loaded BPLG-H(3.5)units fixed using gelatin hydrogel(ADSC@BHM)exhibited 84.1±6.6%BV/TV after implantation for 12 weeks,which was 155.6%higher than that of the Blank group.H&e and Masson’s staining results demonstrated that there was more bone regeneration at the defect center of ADSC@BHM than in the BHM and Blank *** conclusion,rADSC-loaded BPLG-H(3.5)with an osteon-mimic structure provides a potential strategy to repair

Actin fibers are an important part of the cytoskeleton,providing vital support for the plasma *** function is driven by its ATPase(ATP:adenosine triphosphate)activity,i.e.,ATP+H_(2)O→ADP+*** seemingly simple reaction has attracted much attention because the hydrolysis of ATP provides energy to support life ***,the reaction mechanism of ATP hydrolysis in actin is not *** order to gain deep insights into the functions of actin,it is essential to elucidate the reaction mechanism of the actin ATP *** this paper,we have studied the reaction mechanism of the ATP hydrolysis in actin by the combined quantum mechanical and molecular mechanics(QM/MM)*** results show that 1)bond cleavage of the Pγ—OS of ATP and bond formation between oxygen of the lytic water and Pγatoms take place simultaneously,and this is the rate-limiting step of the hydrolysis;2)the proton on the lytic water transfers to the phosphate to form H_(2)P_(γ)O_(4)−via one bridge *** energy barrier of the complete reaction is 17.6 kcal/mol(1 kcal=4.184 kJ),which is in high agreement with the experimental value.

evaluation of e-sail parameters on central spacecraft attitude stability using a high-fidelity rigid–flexible coupling model

This study examines the impact of electric solar wind sail(e-sail)parameters on the attitude stability of e-sail’s central spacecraft by using a comprehensive rigid–flexible coupling dynamic *** this model,the nodal position finite element method is used to model the elastic deformation of the tethers through interconnected two-node tensile *** attitude dynamics of the central spacecraft is described using a natural coordinate *** rigid–flexible coupling between the central spacecraft and its flexible tethers is established using Lagrange *** research reveals the significant influences of parameters such as tether numbers,tether’s electric potential,and solar wind velocity on attitude ***,solar wind fluctuations and the distribution of electric potential on the main tethers considerably affect the attitude stability of the *** consistent management,the angular velocities of the spacecraft must remain at target ***,the attitude stability of a spacecraft has a pronounced dependence on the geometrical configuration of the e-sail,with axisymmetric e-sails proving to be more stable.

A ratiometric optical thermometer with dual-color emission based on eu^(2+)-doped CsCu_(2)I_(3) microcrystals

With the increasing demand for non-co ntact fluorescence intensity ratio-based optical thermometry,novel phosphor materials with high-efficiency,dual-emitting centers,and differentiable temperature sensitivity are highly desired,In this wo rk,rare earth eu^(2+) ions were incorporated Wnto CsCu_(2)I_(3) microcrystals by solidstate reaction,Under a single UV excitation,the as-synthesized samples exhibit two emissions:452 nm blue emission from the 5d→4f transition of eu^(2+)and 582 nm yellow emission from self-trapped exciton e mission of CsCu_(2)I_(3).The photoluminescence quantum yield reaches to 50%,The dual-band emission of eu^(2+)-doped CsCu_(2)I_(3) shows different temperature responses in the range of 260-360 *** on fluorescence intensity ratio technology,the maximum absolute sensitivity and re Iative sensitivity are 0.091 K^(-1)(at 360 K) and 2.60%/K(at 260 K),*** results suggest that eu^(2+)-doped GsCu_(2)I_(3) could be a good candidate for highly sensitive optical thermometer.

The pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 worldwide with successive emerging variants urgently calls for small-molecule oral drugs with broad-spectrum antiviral ***,we show that carrimycin,a new macrolide antibiotic in the clinic and an antiviral candidate for SARS-CoV-2 in phase III trials,decreases the efficiency of programmed–1 ribosomal frameshifting of coronaviruses and thus impedes viral replication in a broad-spectrum *** binds directly to the coronaviral frameshift-stimulatory element(FSe)RNA pseudoknot,interrupting the viral protein translation switch from ORF1a to ORF1b and thereby reducing the level of the core components of the viral replication and transcription *** carrimycin with known viral replicase inhibitors yielded a synergistic inhibitory effect on *** the FSe mechanism is essential in all coronaviruses,carrimycin could be a new broad-spectrum antiviral drug for human coronaviruses by directly targeting the conserved coronaviral FSe *** finding may open a new direction in antiviral drug discovery for coronavirus variants.

Inconel 718 is the most popular nickel-based superalloy and is extensively used in aerospace,automotive,and energy indus-tries owing to its extraordinary thermomechanical *** effects of different two-step solid solution treatments on microstructure andδphase precipitation of Inconel 718 alloy were studied,and the transformation mechanism fromγ″metastable phase toδphase was *** precipitates were statistically analyzed by X-ray *** results show that theδphase content firstly increased,and then decreased with the temperature of the second-step solid *** changes in microstructure andδphase were studied by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** intragranularδphase formed in Inconel 718 alloy at the second-[100]_(δ)[011]γ step solid solution temperature of 925℃,and its orientation relationship withγmatrix was determined as//and(010)_(δ)//(111)γ.Furthermore,the Vickers hardness of different heat treatment samples was measured,and the sample treated by second-step solid solution at 1010℃ reached the maximum hardness of HV 446.84.

Biomimetic 3D printing of composite structures with decreased cracking

The development of tissue engineering and regeneration research has created new platforms for bone ***,the preparation of scaffolds with good fiber integrity is challenging,because scaffolds prepared by traditional printing methods are prone to fiber cracking during solvent *** skin has an excellent natural heat-management system,which helps to maintain a constant body temperature through perspiration or blood-vessel *** this work,an electrohydrodynamic-jet 3D-printing method inspired by the thermal-management system of skin was *** this system,the evaporation of solvent in the printed fibers can be adjusted using the temperature-change rate of the substrate to prepare 3D structures with good structural *** investigate the solvent evaporation and the interlayer bonding of the fibers,finite-element analysis simulations of a three-layer microscale structure were carried *** results show that the solvent-evaporation path is from bottom to top,and the strain in the printed structure becomes smaller with a smaller temperaturechange *** results verified the accuracy of these simulation results,and a variety of complex 3D structures with high aspect ratios were *** cracks were reduced to the nanoscale by adjusting the temperature-change rate from 2.5 to 0.5℃*** process parameters were selected to prepare a tissue engineering scaffold with high *** was confirmed that this printed scaffold had good biocompatibility and could be used for bone-tissue *** simple and flexible 3D-printing method can also help with the preparation of a wide range of micro-and nanostructured sensors and actuators.

What is the Role of Gravity,Turbulence and Magnetic Fields in High-mass Star Formation Clouds?

To explore the potential role of gravity,turbulence and magnetic fields in high-mass star formation in molecular clouds,this study revisits the velocity dispersion–size(σ–L)and density–size(ρ–L)scalings and the associated turbulent energy spectrum using an extensive data *** sample includes various hierarchical density structures in high-mass star formation clouds,across scales of 0.01–100 *** observeσ∝L^(0.26)andρ∝L^(-1.54)scalings,converging toward a virial equilibrium state.A nearly flat virial parameter–mass(α_(vir)-M)distribution is seen across all density scales,withα_(vir)values centered around unity,suggesting a global equilibrium maintained by the interplay between gravity and turbulence across multiple *** turbulent energy spectrum(e(k))analysis,based on theσ–L andρ–L scalings,yields a characteristic e(k)∝k^(-1.52).These findings indicate the potential significance of gravity,turbulence,and possibly magnetic fields in regulating dynamics of molecular clouds and high-mass star formation therein.

Photoinduced palladium-catalyzed 1,3-diene-selective fluoroalkylamination compounds as potential bactericidal agent against Xanthomonas oryzae ***

A series of photoinduced palladium-catalyzed 1,3-diene-selective fluoroalkylamination derivatives was rationally synthesized based on diversity-oriented synthesis via cross coupling of 1,3-dienes,amines and fluoroalkyl *** reaction featured good function group tolerance and a broad substrate scope,which could be extended to the late-stage modification of bioactive *** activity of all the compounds against Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo)was *** them,compound e14 showed significant activity against Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo)with half maximal effective concentration(eC50)value of 6.61μmol/*** pot experiments,the results showed that e14 could control rice bacterial blight with protective and curative efficiencies of 37.5%and 63.2%at 200μg/mL,***,a plausible mechanism for antibacterial behavior of e14 was proposed by electron microscopy,flow cytometry,reactive oxygen species detection,and biofilm *** current work,it can promote the development of photoinduced palladium-catalyzed 1,3-diene-selective fluoroalkyl amination compounds as prospective antibacterial agent bearing an intriguing mode of action.
