Machine learning optimization strategy of shaped charge liner structure based on jet penetration efficiency

Shaped charge liner (SCL) has been extensively applied in oil recovery and defense industries. Achieving superior penetration capability through optimizing SCL structures presents a substantial challenge due to intricate rate-dependent processes involving detonation-driven liner collapse, high-speed jet stretching, and penetration. This study introduces an innovative optimization strategy for SCL structures that employs jet penetration efficiency as the primary objective function. The strategy combines experimentally validated finite element method with machine learning (FEM-ML). We propose a novel jet penetration efficiency index derived from enhanced cutoff velocity and shape characteristics of the jet via machine learning. This index effectively evaluates the jet penetration performance. Furthermore, a multi-model fusion based on a machine learning optimization method, called XGBOOST-MFO, is put forward to optimize SCL structure over a large input space. The strategy's feasibility is demonstrated through the optimization of copper SCL implemented via the FEM-ML strategy. Finally, this strategy is extended to optimize the structure of the recently emerging CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy conical liners and hemispherical copper liners. Met1-linked ubiquitination in cell signaling regulation

Met1-linked ubiquitination(Met1-Ub), also known as linear ubiquitination, is a newly identified atypical type of polyubiquitination that is assembled via the N-terminal methionine(Met1) rather than an internal lysine(Lys) residue of ubiquitin. The linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex(LUBAC) composed of HOIP, HOIL-1L and SHARPIN is the sole E3 ubiquitin ligase that specifically generates Met1-linked ubiquitin chains. The physiological role of LUBAC-mediated Met1-Ub has been first described as activating NF-κB signaling through the Met1-Ub modification of NEMO. However, accumulating evidence shows that Met1-Ub is broadly involved in other cellular pathways including MAPK, Wnt/β-Catenin, PI3K/AKT and interferon signaling, and participates in various cellular processes including angiogenesis, protein quality control and autophagy, suggesting that Met1-Ub harbors a potent signaling capacity. Here, we review the formation and cellular functions of Met1-linked ubiquitin chains, with an emphasis on the recent advances in the cellular mechanisms by which Met1-Ub controls signaling transduction.

Coupled dynamic response analysis of multi-column floating offshore wind turbine with low center of gravity

To realize the application of the floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT)from deep to relatively shallow waters,a new concept of multi-column floating wind turbine platform with low center of gravity(CG)is designed and *** multi-column low CG platform is designed to support a 6MW wind turbine class and operated at a water depth of 50m in the South China *** frequency domain software WADAM and time domain software NREL-FAST are used to simulate coupled dynamic responses of the floating wind turbine system with second-order wave loads *** dynamic behaviors of multi-column low CG FOWT system under normal operation and parked conditions are *** influence of second-order wave force on the motion responses of the multi-column platform,fore-aft force and moment of the tower base and mooring force are researched *** results demonstrate that the coupled dynamic responses at rated operating condition and extreme condition meet the normal operating requirements and extreme survival requirements of FOWT system in the shallow water(50m)of South China *** addition,it is found that,the wave frequency response gradually replaces the second-order low frequency response as the main influencing factor of the coupled dynamic response of the FOWT system with the increasing severity of the sea ***,in general,the magnitude of second-order low frequency response increases with the increasing severity of the design load ***,in the subsequent design of the shallow water FOWT system,the second-order effects should be paid enough attention.

Numerical simulation of inlet placement on sewage characteristics in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet

To improve the self-cleaning ability of aquaculture tank and the efficiency of circulating water,physical and numerical experiments were conducted on the influence of inlet structure on sewage discharge in a rounded square aquaculture tank with a single *** on the physical model of the tank,analysis of how inlet structure adjustment affects sewage discharge efficiency and flow field characteristics was conducted to provide suitable flow field conditions for sinkable solid particle *** addition,an internal flow field simulation was conducted using the RNG k-εturbulence model in hydraulic drive *** a solid-fluid multiphase model was created to investigate how the inlet structure affects sewage collection in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet and *** finding revealed that the impact of inlet structure is considerably affecting sewage *** conditions of C/B=0.07-0.11(the ratio of horizontal distance between the center of the inlet pipe and the tank wall(C)to length of the tank(B))andα=25°(αis the angle between the direction of the jet and the tangential direction of the arc angle)resulted in optimal sewage collection,which is similar to the flow field experiment in the rounded square aquaculture tank with single inlet and *** excellent correlation was revealed between sewage collection and fluid circulation stability in the aquaculture *** present study provided a reference for design and optimization of circulating aquaculture tanks in aquaculture industry.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of ammonia addition on ethylene counter-flow diffusion flames with different diluents on the fuel or oxidizer side,using kinetic analyses.A special emphasis was put on assessing the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) on C2H4 combustion *** chemical effects could be evaluated by comparing fictitious inert NH_(3) or CO_(2) with normal active NH_(3) or CO_(2).The results revealed that the addition of NH_(3) decreased the mole fractions and production rates of key soot precursors,such as acetylene,propynyl,and *** CO_(2) was used as the dilution gas,the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) were affected by the chemical effects of CO_(2) to varying *** the oxidizer-side CO_(2) addition,the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) reduced the mole fractions of H,O,OH radicals,acetylene,propynyl,and benzene,while the effects differed from the fuel-side CO_(2) *** coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) also promoted the formation of aldehyde contaminants,such as acetaldehyde,to some extent,particularly with CO_(2) addition on the oxidizer side.

The Jiangchuan Biota from the Jiucheng Member(Mb.)of the Dengying Formation(Fm.),discovered in Jiangchuan,eastern Yunnan,China,is marked by copious macrofossils at the apex of the Ediacaran *** fauna features benthic algae with varied holdfasts and other fossils of indeterminate taxonomic affinity and is compositionally unique compared to the Shibantan and Gaojiashan biotas of the Dengying *** the Miaohe and Wenghui biotas of the Doushantuo Fm.,elsewhere in *** novel benthic saccular macroalgal fossil,named here Houjiashania yuxiensis *** ***.,from the Jiangchuan Biota is based on fossils that are sausage-shaped,elongate,tubular,ranging from 0.3 to 4 cm in length,and up to 0.8 cm in *** terminus is blunt and rounded to an obtuse angle,the other is bent with a spread-out surface resembling a holdfast,suggesting a three-dimensional ***,stipe-shaped outgrowths,likely vestiges of sessile saccular life forms,are prevalent in macroalgal fossils of analogous size and shape,as well as present brown algae Scytosiphonaceae,such as Colpomenia and *** new findings augment the diversity of benthic algae,such as those known from the Early Neoproterozoic Longfengshan Biota in North *** benthic algal macrofossils in the Jiucheng *** to knowledge of Late Ediacaran metaphyte diversification and offer more clues about the evolutionary positioning of primitive *** co-occurrence of numerous planktonic and benthic multicellular algae and planktonic microbes might have facilitated ecologically the more extensive later Cambrian explosion evidenced by the Chengjiang Biota in Yunnan.

SIRT1 inhibits apoptosis of human lens epithelial cells through suppressing endoplasmic reticulum stress in vitro and in vivo
