The second envelope glycoprotein （E2） of hepatitis C virus has been shown to bind human target cells and has become a major target for the development of anti-HCV vaccines. Anti-E2 antibodies have been suggested to be of clinical significance in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of hepatitis C. However, large-scale expression and purification of E2 proteins in mammalian cells is difficult. As an alternative, E2 fragment （aa 3.5-73.） with a four-amino-acid mutation （aa 568-571 PCNI to RVTS） was expressed as hexa-histidine-tagged full length protein [E2N73.（m）] in E. coli and purified to over 85% purity. Purified E2N73.（m） was specifically recognized by homologous hepatitis C patient serum in Western blot, suggesting that it displayed E2specific antigenicity. Rabbit antiserum raised against E2N73.（m） recognized E2 glyco-proteins expressed in mammalian cells in Western blot. Phytoremediation has been used as an emerging technology for remediation of soil contamination with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),ubiquitous persistent environmental pollutants derived from natural and anthropogenic processes,in the last *** this study,a pot experiment was conducted to investigate the potential of phytoremediation of pyrene from spiked soils planted with white clover(Trifolium repens)in the greenhouse with a series of pyrene concentrations ranging from 4.22 to 3.5.3. mg *** results showed that growth of white clover on pyrenecontaminated soils was not *** removal of pyrene from the spiked soils planted with white clover was obviously higher than that from the unplanted *** the end of the experiment(60 d),the average removal ratio of pyrene in the spiked soils with white clover was 77%,which was 3.%and 57%higher than those of the controls with or without micobes, *** roots and shoots of white clover took up pyrene from the spiked soils and pyrene uptake increased with the soil pyrene ***,the plant-enhanced dissipation of soil pyrene may be the result of plant-promoted microbial degradation and direct uptake and accumulation of pyrene by white clover were only a small part of the pyrene *** factors of pyrene(BCFs,ratio of pyrene,on a dry weight basis,in the plant to that in the soil)tended to decrease with increase in the residual soil pyrene ***,removal of pyrene in the contaminated soils was feasible using white clove.

The diffusivity of hydrogen in two Ni3.l alloys (No.1 and No.2) has been measured in the temperature range of 100 degreesC to 420 degreesC using an ultrahigh vacuum gaseous permeation technique. The diffusivity data fall into two segments, in which the hydrogen diffusivity adheres to the Arrhenius form, respectively. From the hydrogen diffusivity, it is conjectured that the hydrogen diffusivity reflects the hydrogen transportation along the grain boundaries at lower temperature and the hydrogen transportation in the lattice at higher temperature. The intergranular fracture of Lit-type intermetallics induced by hydrogen at relative low temperature results from hydrogen transportation along the grain boundaries and not in the lattice.

＜正＞ A mew type of dielectric resonator used in millimeter wave band is presented, which is called whispering gallery mode dielectric resonator （WGDR）. We also derived a method to calculate its resonant frequency and realized a simple band-stop filter in W-band with leuco sapphire mono-crystal dielectric resonator and rexolite dielectric waveguide. The results show that WGDR has many advantages.

Molecular and genetic characterizations of mutants have led to a better understanding of many developmental processes in the model system Arabidopsis thaliana. However, the leaf development that is specific to plants has been little studied. With the aim of contributing to the genetic dissection of leaf development, we have performed a large-scare screening for mutants with abnormal leaves. Among a great number of leaf mutants we have generated by T-DNA and transposon tagging and ethylmethae sulfonate (EMS) mutagenesis, four independent mutant lines have been identified and studied genetically. Phenotypes of these mutant lines represent the defects of four novel nuclear genes designated LL1 (LOTUS LEAF 1), LL2 (LOTUS LEAF 2), URO (UPRIGHT ROSETTE), and EIL (ENVIRONT CONDITION INDUCED LESION). The phenotypic analysis indicates that these genes play important roles during leaf development. FOr the further genetic analysis of these genes and the map-based cloning of LL1 and LL2, we have mapped these genes to chromosome regions with an efficient and rapid mapping method.

The flexural and impact resistance of a newly developed FRC/bamboo laminate have been investigated. The laminate considered in this study was combined with reformed bamboo plate and extruded fiber reinforced cementitious (FRC) sheet. Innovated from the raw bamboo, reformed bamboo showed high tensile strength and high strength to weight ratio. It can not only remarkably strengthen the FRC sheet but also reduce the total weight of the laminate. Flexural and impact load, broken energy, deflection and duration were measured. Test results showed that the flexural strength value for the laminate can be improved to greater than 90 MPa, while the impact resistance is increased more than 10 times for the laminate when compared with the FRC sheet only.

A two-dimensional model of unsteady turbulent flow induced by high-speed elevator system was established in the present study. The research was focused on the instantaneous variation of the aerodynamic force on the car structure during traversing motion of the counter weight in the hoistway. A dynamic meshing method was employed to treat the multi-body motion system to avoid poor distortion of meshes. A comprehensive understanding of this significant aspect was obtained by varying the horizontal gap （δ =0.1m, 0.2m, and 0.3.） between the elevator car and the counter weight, and the moving speed （ U 0= 2m/s, 6m/s, and 10m/s） of the elevator system. A pulsed intensification of the aerodynamic force on the elevator car and subsequent appearance of large valley with negative aerodynamic force were clearly observed in the numerical results. In parameters studied （ δ =0.1m, U 0= 2m/s, 6m/s, 10m/s）, the peaked horizontal and vertical forces are respectively 7-11 and 4.3.5.65 times of that when the counter weight is far from the car. These results demonstrated the prominent influence of the traversing counter weight on aerodynamic force on the elevator car, which is of great significance to designers of high-speed elevator system.

Iron-based superconductors namely Sr(Fe1.8Co0.2)As1.8 (FeAs1.8) and Sr(Fe1.8Co0.2)As1.85 (FeAs1.85) with As deficiency are prepared by solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction reveals that the polycrystalline phase forms in the studied samples, identical to typical SrFe2As2 (122) matrix. Resistive and magnetic measurements show that the superconducting transition temperatures (Tc) are about 19 K for both FeAs1.8 and FeAs1.85. Compared with the performances of typical iron-based 122 superconductors arising from Co doping, the present samples show the suppressed superconductivity. Moreover, the antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase correlated with spin-density-wave (SDW) is reduced as well. The AFM transition temperature decreases to 122 K for FeAs1.85, while such a phase transition is absent at all for FeAs1.8, one sample with less As, implying that the existence of SDW and antiferromagnetism is more sensitive to As content.

In wireless multiple input single output (MISO) systems, transmit beamforming using feedback of quantized channel state information (CSI) can provide both diversity gain and array gain with simple imple- mentation. Most of previous researches include several ideal assumptions, such as block-fading channels, perfect CSI at the receiver, or error-free and zero-delay feedback link. This paper investigates a more realistic Jakes’ time-varying MISO Rayleigh fading channel with CSI estimation error and feedback delay, derives the upper and lower bounds on the ergodic capacity, and obtains the optimal frame length according to the capacity lower bound given the normalized feedback bits. The numerical and simulation results show that the derived upper and lower bounds on the capacity is quite close, increasing channel estimation error or Doppler spread will reduce the capacity bounds, and the optimal frame length can maximize the capacity lower bound.
