The development of effective and sustainable solutions for pleiotropic water purification becomes urgent and *** Fenton-like catalysts for activation of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to purify organic wastewater show great *** this work,by tuning metal loading with an in-situ polydopamine coating strategy,oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4) loading on N-doped carbon nanotubes(CNTs)were constructed to enhance PMS activation efficiency for pollutants ***,the obtained modified CNTs afford a well-developed N-containing network structure,which is further endowed with abundant Co(Ⅱ)/Co(Ⅲ)redox cycles and significant metal-carbon *** particular,the surface N doping in CNTs might induce the oriented enrichment of pollutants around the catalyst,which reduces the migration distance and correspondingly improves the utilization of reactive oxidative *** electron transfer efficiency of the catalyst can be further improved by incorporating oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4).The performance results show that the optimal NC/Co-1 could mineralize 20×10^(-6)of bisphenol A(BPA)by almost 98%in 8 min.A low reaction activation energy(26.05 kJ·mol^(-1))in BPA degradation was demonstrated by the NC/*** importantly,NC/Co-1 can inherit excellent degradation performance towards oxytetracycline,2,4-dichlorophenol,and tetracycline,showing wide practical *** addition,by virtue of the photothermal conversion property,NC/Co-1 achieves an additive function for interfacial solar water evaporation(1.84 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1),112.51%),showing impressive potential for clean water recovery under complicated environmental pollution conditions.

A High-Affinity Methyl-CpG-Binding Protein for Endonuclease-Free and Label-Free DNA Methyltransferase Activity Detection

DNA methyltransferase(MTase) activity detection has received increasing attention as a promising biomarker and therapeutic target. However, most of these detection methods rely on endonuclease digestion and signal groups ***, we present a novel platform for sensing DNA MTase activity that overcomes these limitations. Our approach is both endonuclease-free and label-free, utilizing a combination of a high-affinity streptavidin-methyl-CpG-binding domain(SA-MBD) protein and surface plasmon resonance(SPR) technology. The SA-MBD protein specifically recognizes a hairpin probe containing methylated CpG sites, which is treated with *** MTase. This recognition event generates a corresponding SPR response signal. The limit of detection is as low as 0.016 U/mL, owing to the high-a ffinity of the SA-MBD ***, we have demonstrated the feasibility of our method for *** MTase activity analysis in serum and inhibitor screening, which implies the potential prospects for biomedical research.

Pig H3K4me3,H3K27ac,and gene expression profiles reveal reproductive tissue-specific activity of transposable elements

Dear Editor,The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 rapidly evolutes to increase its infectivity and transmissibility,facilitates its immune escape,impairs vaccine efficacy,and currently causes repeated infections in human,which is mainly determined by the accumulated mutations in spike(S).1 Transmembrane S is a heavily glycosylated protein on the surface of the virion as homotrimer,responsible for binding to human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)receptor.2 While the architecture of S trimers has been well studied,how the stability of S is regulated by potential host factors remains unknown.

Multiaxial neutron/x-ray imaging and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction techniques play a crucial role in gaining valuable insights intothe generation and evolution mechanisms of pulsed radiation sources. Owing to the short emission time (∼200 ns) and drastic changes of thepulsed radiation source, it is necessary to acquire projection data within a few nanoseconds in order to achieve clear computed tomography3D imaging. As a consequence, projection data that can be used for computed tomography image reconstruction at a certain moment are oftenavailable for only a few angles. Traditional algorithms employed in the process of reconstructing 3D images with extremely incomplete datamay introduce significant distortions and artifacts into the final image. in this paper, we propose an iterative image reconstruction methodusing cylindrical harmonic decomposition and a self-supervised denoising network algorithm based on the deep image prior method. Weaugment the prior information with a 2D total variation prior and a 3D deep image prior. Single-wire Z-pinch imaging experiments have beencarried out at Qin-1 facility in five views and four frames, with a time resolution of 3 ns for each frame and a time interval of 40 ns betweenadjacent frames. Both numerical simulations and experiments verify that our proposed algorithm can achieve high-quality reconstructionresults and obtain the 3D intensity distribution and evolution of extreme ultraviolet and soft x-ray emission from plasma.

This study investigated degradation behaviors of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Nabumetone(NMT)and its major metabolite 6-methoxy-2-naphthylacetic acid(MNA)in the coupling process of ultraviolet and monochloramine(UV/NH2Cl).The second-order rate constants of the contaminants reacting with reactive radicals(HO·,Cl·,Cl_(2)·-,and CO_(3)·^(-))were determined by laser flash photolysis ***·and Cl·contributed predominantly with 52.3%and 21.7%for NMT degradation and 60.8%and 22.3%for MNA *** presence of chlorides retarded the degradation of NMT,while promoted the destruction of MNA,which was ascribed to the photosensitization effects of MNA under UV *** functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed that radical adduct formation(RAF)was dominant pathway for both HO·and Cl·reacting with the contaminants,and hydrogen atom transfer(HAT)preferred to occur on side chains of NMT and *** reacted with NO_(2)·through single electron transfer(SET)with the second-order rate constant calculated to be 5.35×10^(7)(mol/L)^(-1)sec^(-1),and the contribution of NO_(2)·was predicted to be 13.0%of the total rate constant of NMT in pure water,which indicated that NO_(2)·played a nonnegligible role in the degradation of *** acute toxicity and developmental toxicity of NMT were enhanced after UV/NH_(2)Cl treatment,while those of MNA were *** transformation products of both NMT and MNA exhibited higher mutagenicity than their parent *** study provides a deep understanding of the mechanism of radical degradation of NMT and MNA in the treatment of UV/NH2Cl.

Thymus is the important immune organ,responsible for T cell development and *** lower circulating T counts have been observed in patients who died from COViD-19 compared with ***,also known as FNC,is a thymus-homing anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug in treating COViD-19 *** this study,single-cell transcriptome,proteomics,and parallel reaction monitoring(PRM)were applied to insight into the activation process of FNC in rat and SARS-CoV-2 rhesus monkey *** results indicated that thymic immune cells possess a robust metabolic capacity for cytidine-analogue drugs such as *** enzymes involved in the FNC phosphorylation process,such as Dck,Cmpk1,and Nme2,were highly expressed in CD4+ T cells,CD8+ T cells,and DP(CD4+ CD8+)***,FNC could upregulate multiple phosphorylated kinases in various cell types while downregulating the phosphatases,phosphoribosyl transferases,and deaminases,*** robust phosphorylation capacity of the thymus for cytidine analogue drug FNC,and the activation effect of FNC on the NAs metabolism system potentially contribute to its enrichment in the thymus and immune protection *** suggests that it is crucial to consider the expression level of phosphorylation kinases when evaluating NA drug properties,as an important factor during antiviral drug design.

Present-day movement characteristics of the Qinghai Nanshan fault and its surrounding area from GPS observation

The Qinghai Nanshan fault is a larger fault in the Northeastern Xizang *** previous studies,its movement characteristics are mainly investigated with geological and seismic observations,and the tectonic transformation role of the fault on its east is not yet *** study uses data fusion to obtain denser GPS observations near the Qinghai Nanshan *** on tectonic characteristics,we establish a block model to investigate the fault slip rate,locking degree,and slip *** results show that the Qinghai Nanshan fault slip rate is characterized by sinistral and convergent *** the sinistral and convergent rates display a decreasing trend from west to *** locking degree and slip deficit are higher in the western segment(with an average of about 0.74 and 1.1 mm/a)and lower in the eastern ***,we construct a strain rate field using GPS observations to analyze the regional strain *** results indicate that along the fault,the western segment shows a larger shear strain rate and negative dilation *** earthquake records show that the frequency of earthquakes is lower near the *** joint results suggest that the western segment may have a higher earthquake *** addition,the insignificant fault slip rate in the eastern segment may indicate that it does not participate in the tectonic transformation among the Riyueshan,Lajishan,and West Qinling faults.
