The available modelling data shortage issue makes it difficult to guarantee the performance of data-driven building energy prediction(BEP)models for both the newly built buildings and existing information-poor *** knowledge transfer learning(KTL)and data incremental learning(DIL)can address the data shortage issue of such *** new building scenarios with continuous data accumulation,the performance of BEP models has not been fully investigated considering the data accumulation ***,which can learn dynamic features from accumulated data adapting to the developing trend of new building time-series data and extend BEP model's knowledge,has been rarely *** studies have shown that the performance of KTL models trained with fixed data can be further improved in scenarios with dynamically changing ***,this study proposes an improved transfer learning cross-BEP strategy continuously updated using the coarse data incremental(CDI)*** hybrid KTL-DIL strategy(LSTM-DANN-CDI)uses domain adversarial neural network(DANN)for KLT and long short-term memory(LSTM)as the Baseline BEP *** evaluation is conducted to systematically qualify the effectiveness and applicability of KTL and improved ***-world data from six-type 36 buildings of six types are adopted to evaluate the performance of KTL and KTL-DIL in data-driven BEP tasks considering factors like the model increment time interval,the available target and source building data *** with LSTM,results indicate that KTL(LSTM-DANN)and the proposed KTL-DIL(LSTM-DANN-CDI)can significantly improve the BEP performance for new buildings with limited *** with the pure KTL strategy LSTM-DANN,the improved KTL-DIL strategy LSTM-DANN-CDI has better prediction performance with an average performance improvement ratio of 60%.

Objective Renal fibrosis is the ultimate pathway of various forms of acute and chronic kidney ***,the knockout of transient receptor potential channel 6(TRPC6)has shown promise in alleviating renal ***,the regulatory impact of TRPC6 on renal fibrosis remains *** In vivo,TRPC6 knockout(TRPC6−/−)mice and age-matched 129 SvEv(WT)mice underwent unilateral renal ischemia-reperfusion(uIR)injury surgery on the left renal pedicle or sham *** and serum were collected on days 7,14,21,and 28 after *** vitro,primary tubular epithelial cells(PTECs)were isolated from TRPC6−/−and WT mice,followed by treatment with transforming growth factorβ1(TGFβ1)for 72 *** anti-fibrotic effect of TRPC6−/−and the underlying mechanisms were assessed through hematoxylin-eosin staining,Masson staining,immunostaining,qRT-PCR,and Western *** Increased TRPC6 expression was observed in uIR mice and PTECs treated with TGFβ***6−/−alleviated renal fibrosis by reducing the expression of fibrotic markers(Col-1,α-SMA,and vimentin),as well as decreasing the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs during fibrotic progression both in vivo and in ***,we found that the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)/glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK3β)signaling pathway,a pivotal player in renal fibrosis,was down-regulated following TRPC6 *** These results suggest that the ablation of TRPC6 may mitigate renal fibrosis by inhibiting the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs through down-regulation of the PI3K/AKT/GSK3β*** TRPC6 could be a novel therapeutic strategy for preventing chronic kidney disease.

Black rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii)has evolved viviparous reproduction *** from the oviparous fishes,the spermatozoa of black rockfish are stored on the surface of ovarian follicle for over four months until the egg mature in ovary,while the adaptive evolution of fertilization-related genes remains to be *** the present study,based on the genome and transcriptome information of black rockfish,a total of 10 hyaluronidase genes were identified by phylogenetic and sequence analyses,including hyal1,hyal2,hyal3,hyal4,hyal6 and spam1a,spam1b,spam1c and *** spam1 subfamilies,including spam1a,spam1b,spam1c and spam1d,were significantly expanded compared to other *** adaptive evolution of hyaluronidase was further investigated by selection pressure analysis of branch model and branch site *** results showed that only spam1 subfamily was positively selected with a large number of positive selection sites,and the evolution rate was significantly higher thanthose of other *** positively selected sites,LYS-171 and GLY-164,were located in the neutral hyaluronidase activity domain,which was pivotal for SPAM1 to participate in enzymatic hydrolysis of the extracellular hyaluronic acid matrix and mediate acrosome reaction in ***,spam1 was mainly expressed in spermatocytes,secondary spermatocytes,and spermatids of testis,whereas it was not found in metamorphic sperm and mature sperm based on the spatiotemporal expression *** results indicated that spam1 might originate from the testis and might be an adaptation of viviparous trait in black rockfish.

Effects of zeolite imidazole frameworks on rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L.): Phytotoxicity, transformation, and bioaccumulation

Zeolite imidazole frameworks(ZIFs),a class of the metal organic framework,have been extensively studied in environmental ***,their environmental fate and potential ecological impact on plants remain ***,we investigated the phytotoxicity,transformation,and bioaccumulation processes of two typical ZIFs(ZIF-8 and ZIF-67)in rice(Oryza sativa L.)under hydroponic ***-8 and ZIF-67 in the concentration of 50 mg/L decreased root and shoot dry weight maximally by 55.2%and 27.5%,53.5%and 37.5%,*** scanning electron microscopy(SEM)imaging combined with X-ray diffraction(XRD)patterns revealed that ZIFs on the root surface gradually collapsed and transformed into nanosheets with increasing cultivation *** fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC)labeled ZIFs were applied to trace the uptake and translocation of ZIFs in *** results demonstrated that the transformed ZIFs were mainly distributed in the intercellular spaces of rice root,while they cannot be transported to culms and *** so,the Co and Zn contents of rice roots and shoots in the ZIFs treated groups were increased by 1145%and 1259%,145%and 259%,respectively,compared with the control *** findings suggested that the phytotoxicity of ZIFs are primarily attributed to the transformed ZIFs and to a less extent,the metal ions and their ligands,and they were internalized by rice root and increased the Co and Zn contents of *** study reported the transformation of ZIFs and their biological effectiveness in rice,highlighting the potential environmental hazards and risks of ZIFs to crop plants.

Stable carbon isotope composition and intrinsic water use efficiency in plants along an altitudinal gradient on the eastern slope of Yulong Snow Mountain, China

Background Stable carbon isotope composition(δ13Cp) can be used to estimate the changes in intrinsic water use efficiency（iWUE） in plants,which helps us to better understand plants' response strategies to climate *** study focused on the variations in δ13Cpand iWUE for the different life-form plants（i.e.,herbs,shrubs,and trees）along an altitudinal gradient（3300,3600,3900,4100,4300,and 4500 m） on the eastern slope of Yulong Snow Mountain,southeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet *** response mechanisms of δ13Cpand iWUE for different life-form plants to altitude were thoroughly analyzed in this mountain *** The δ13Cpvalues of plants on the eastern slopes of Yulong Snow Mountain ranged from-30.4‰to-26.55‰,with a mean of-28.02‰,indicating a dominance of *** δ13Cpand iWUE values varied among different life-form plants in the order of herbs> shrubs> trees,particularly in 3600,3900,and 4300 ***δ13Cpand iWUE values for herbs and shrubs increased with altitude and were mainly controlled by air *** two parameters for trees exhibited a trend of initial decrease followed by an increase with *** 3900 m,the δ13Cpand iWUE values decreased with altitude,influenced by soil ***,above 3900 m,the two parameters increased with altitude,mainly regulated by air *** addition,iWUE was positively correlated with leaf P content but negatively correlated with leaf N:P ratio,especially for herbs and trees,suggesting that P plays a key role in modulating iWUE in this *** The diffe rentiated responses of water availability for different life-form plants to a higher altitudinal gradient are regulated by air temperature,soil moisture,and leaf P content in the Yulong Snow *** results provide valuable insights into understanding the wate r-carbon relationships in high-altitude ecosystems.

Coastal management in China is confronted with an urgent choice between natural restoration and maintenance of existing seawalls and reclaimed land for economic development.A key criterion for making this decision is the resilience to coastal flooding,which depends on the ability to predict tidal *** duration asymmetry(TDA)is a key parameter in determination of the arrival and duration of flood *** study selected the western inner shelf of the Yellow Sea(WYS)as the study area and investigated the responses of TDA to different shoreline configurations and relative sea level *** responses of TDA to shoreline reconstruction yielded spatial variability locally and *** the nearshore area,the responses of TDA to the complex ocean environment mainly originated from the combined functions of reflection,bottom friction,and advection,which controlled the energy transfer from M2 or S2 constituents to their overtides or compound *** sensitivity of TDA to coastline typologies was not limited to coastal waters but could stretch over the entire inner *** vulnerability of tidal responses was due to the displacement of the M2 amphidrome of the Kelvin wave on the WYS,which in turn changed tidal energy fluxes over the *** relative sea level rise could intensify the feedback of TDA to seawalls and land reclamation.

High-Order DG Schemes with Subcell Limiting Strategies for Simulations of Shocks,Vortices and Sound Waves in Materials Science Problems

Shock waves,characterized by abrupt changes in pressure,temperature,and density,play a significant role in various materials science processes involving *** high-energy phenomena are utilized across multiple fields and applications to achieve unique material properties and facilitate advanced manufacturing *** simulations of these phenomena require numerical schemes that can represent shock waves without spurious oscillations and simultaneously capture acoustic waves for a wide range of wavelength *** work suggests a high-order discontinuous Galerkin(DG)method with a finite volume(FV)subcell limiting strategies to achieve better subcell resolution and lower numerical diffusion *** switching to the FV discretization on an embedded sub-cell grid,the method displays advantages with respect to both DG accuracy and FV shock-capturing *** FV scheme utilizes a class of high-fidelity schemes that are built upon the boundary variation diminishing(BVD)reconstruction *** method is therefore able to resolve discontinuities and multi-scale structures on the subcell level,while preserving the favorable properties of the high-order DG *** have tested the present DG method up to the 6th-order accuracy for both smooth and discontinuous noise problems.

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries have shown promises for the next-generation, high-energy electrochemical storage, yet are hindered by rapid performance decay due to the polysulfide shuttle in the cathode and safety concerns about potential thermal runaway. To address the above challenges, herein, we show a flame-retardant cathode binder that simultaneously improves the electrochemical stability and safety of batteries. The combination of soft and hard segments in the polymer framework of binders allows high flexibility and mechanical strength for adapting to the drastic volume change during the Li(de)intercalation of the S cathode. The binder contains a large number of polar groups, which show the high affinity to polysulfides so that they help to anchor active S species at the cathode. These polar groups also help to regulate and facilitate the Li-ion transport, promoting the kinetics of polysulfide conversion reaction. The binder contains abundant phosphine oxide groups, which, in the case of battery's thermal runaway, decompose and release PO· radicals to quench the combustion reactions and stop the fire. Consequently, Li-S batteries using the new cathode binder show the improved electrochemical performance, including a low-capacity decay of 0.046% per cycle for 800 cycles at 1 C and favorable rate capabilities of up to 3 C. This work offers new insights on the practical realization of high-energy rechargeable batteries with stable storage electrochemistry and high safety.

Impact of continuous care on cardiac function in patients with lung cancer complicated by coronary heart disease
