Background:Insomnia is a prevalent clinical condition and Shangxia Liangji formula(SXLJF)is a well-established method of ***,the specific mechanism of action of SXLJF remains ***:The mouse model of insomnia was established by intraperitoneal injection of ***-two mice were randomly divided into a negative control group,model group,SXLJF group(18.72 g/kg/day),and positive control group(diazepam,2 mg/kg)and treated with the corresponding drugs for 7 consecutive *** open field test and pentobarbital-induced sleeping test were ***-MS-based untargeted metabolomics and network pharmacology were applied to explore the potential targets of SXLJF for treating ***,key targets were validated using ***:Behavioral tests demonstrated that SXLJF reduced the total distance,average velocity,central distance,and sleep latency,and prolonged sleep *** and network pharmacology revealed potential targets,signaling pathways,metabolic pathways,and metabolites associated with the anti-insomnia effects of ***,tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and tyrosine metabolism emerged as crucial metabolic pathways and targets,***-qPCR results supported the role of TH in the mechanism of SXLJF in treating ***:In conclusion,TH and tyrosine metabolism may represent significant targets and pathways for SXLJF in treating insomnia.

Exploring Challenges in Developing a Smart and Effective Assistive System for Improving the Experience of the Elderly Drivers

As the overall population ages, driving-related accidents and injuries, associated with elderly drivers, have risen. Existing research about elderly drivers mainly focuses on factual data collection and analysis, indicating the elderly＇s growing fatal accident rates and their different behaviours compared to younger drivers. However, few research has focused on design-led practical solutions to mitigate the elderly＇s growing fatal accidents, by consid- ering their usability and body conditions, afflicting the elderly, such as decreased vision, hearing, and reaction times. In this paper, first, current worldwide situations on growing fatal accident rates for elderly drivers is reviewed and the key impact factors are identified and discussed with regarding to usability and design trend in the automotive technology for elderly. Second, existing smart vehicle technology-based solutions to promote safe driving are explored and their pros and cons are discussed and anal- ysed. Most of solutions are not created by people with driving difficulties, which are caused by health problems most commonly afflicting the elderly. Thirdly, diverse design-led research activities are taken, such as a survey, observation, and interviews to gain new understanding of what kinds of driving problems elderly drivers have and demonstrate how new system concepts could be developed for the elderly＇s benefits. Finally, it is found that the elderly＇s low vision and late reaction are main factors causing their driving difficulties. Based on this finding, usable vehicle system design ideas have been proposed, by utilising facial expression sensing technology as a solution. The proposed solutions would ensure reducing both the elderly＇s driving problems and high fatal accident rates and provide a more enjoyable driving environment for the elderly population.

Resilient tightly coupled INS/UWB integration method for indoor UAV navigation under challenging scenarios

Based on the high positioning accuracy,low cost and low-power consumption,the ultra-wide-band(UWB)is an ideal solution for indoor unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)localization and ***,the UWB signals are easy to be blocked or reflected by obstacles such as walls and furniture.A resilient tightly-coupled inertial navigation system(INS)/UWB integration is proposed and implemented for indoor UAV navigation in this paper.A factor graph optimization(FGO)method enhanced by resilient stochastic model is established to cope with the indoor challenging *** deal with the impact of UWB non-line-of-sight(NLOS)signals and noise uncertainty,the conventional neural net-works(CNNs)are introduced into the stochastic modelling to improve the resilience and reliability of the *** on the status that the UWB features are limited,a‘two-phase'CNNs structure was designed and implemented:one for signal classification and the other one for measurement noise *** proposed resilient FGO method is tested on flighting UAV platform under actual indoor challenging *** to classical FGO method,the overall positioning errors can be decreased from about 0.60 m to centimeter-level under signal block and reflection *** superiority of resilient FGO which effectively verified in constrained environment is pretty important for positioning accuracy and integrity for indoor navigation task.

Group Buying of Competing Retailers with Fairness Concerns

The fairness concern behavior is particularly common among members in supply chain *** downstream retailers often compare their profits with those of the other members in the supply chain,especially that of the supplier,and do not like the unfavorable distribution of the total *** work considers a supply chain consisting of a supplier and two competing retailers with fairness *** supplier offers a wholesale contract with quantity discount,and the two competing retailers have the options of individual purchasing and group *** a Stackelberg game model,the optimal decisions for the players are obtained for the group buying and the individual purchasing *** results indicate that the supplier benefits more than the retailers from the group buying *** particular,the group buying strategy gives the supplier a higher profit if the operational cost of group buying is below a ***,the fairness concern behavior of the retailers does not always hurt the profit of the ***,the supplier will benefit from the fairness concern behavior of the retailers in individual purchasing when the retailers operates in a relatively poor ***,market competition between the two fairness concerned retailers does not always benefit the *** competition between the fairness concerned retailers reduces the supplier's profit if the group buying strategy is used when the retailers operates in a relatively poor environment.

Radial Additive Friction Stir Repairing of Mechanical Hole Out of Dimension Tolerance of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Assisted by Stationary Shoulder:Process and Mechanical Properties

Radial additive friction stir repairing(R-AFSR)assisted by stationary shoulder was put forward in the present study,which can be employed to repair the mechanical hole out of dimension tolerance of AZ31 magnesium alloy *** results show that the stationary shoulder has sealed-barrier,heat-sink and extra-forging *** heat-sink effect improves the microstructure uniformity along the stir zone(SZ)thickness and the surface appearance of repaired hole,and the sealedbarrier and extra-forging effects eliminate the super-fine grain band in the ***,these three effects improve the formation quality of repaired region,thereby enhancing the mechanical properties of repaired mechanical hole compared with conventional *** tensile and compressive shear strengths of the repaired hole by stationary shoulder R-AFSR both increase first and then decrease when the rotating speed changes from 1200 to 1800 rpm,and these maximum values,respectively,reach 190±3 MPa and 64.5±2 MPa at 1400 *** addition of stationary shoulder during R-AFSR can obtain a higher-quality repaired hole and broaden the repairing process window.

Enhanced leaching of metals from spent lithium-ion batteries by catalytic carbothermic reduction

Spent Li-ion battery(LIB)recycling has become a challenge with the rapidly developing electric vehicle(EV)*** address the problems of high cost and low recovery of Li in the recycling of spent LIBs using traditional hydrometallurgical processes,we developed an alkali metal catalytic carbothermic reduction method to recover spent LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2)(NCM).Using alkali metal catalysts,such as NaOH,significantly reduced the temperature required for carbothermic NCM material reduction and realized targeted control of the phase of the reduction product,where Li was first separated by prior water leaching,followed by Ni,Co,and Mn recycling by acid *** optimized carbothermic reduction conditions were a reaction time of 3 h,temperature of 550℃,NaOH dosage of 15 wt%,and graphite dosage of 15 wt%.The Li leaching efficiency reached 78.5 wt%during water *** during acid leaching,the Ni,Co and Mn leaching efficiencies were 99.8 wt%,99.7 wt%,and 99.5wt%,*** study provides strong technical support for the development of LIB industry.

The oxygenation constants and thermodynamic parameter （△H°, △S°） of a series of novel Co （Ⅱ） complexes with phenol ether bridged dihydroxamic acids CoL^1-CoL^6 were measured, their catalytic performance in oxidation of p-xylene to p-toluic acid （PTA） were examined. The modulation of O2-binding capabilities and catalytic oxidation activities by X （X = Cl, OCH3） and Y （Y = H, CH3, Cl） groups bonded to the aromatic rings of the Co （Ⅱ） complexes were investigated.

Broadband and perfect terahertz absorber based on multilayer metamaterial with cross-ring patterned structures

Broadband and perfect terahertz absorber based on multilayer metamaterial using cross-ring patterned structures is proposed and investigated. The structure of the absorber is double absorption layers consisting of a chromium cross ring and eight isosceles right triangles. The unique structure of the double absorbing layers excites the electric dipole multimode resonance, giving rise to high absorption performance. Meanwhile, the influence of construal parameters on absorber behavior is also discussed. The numerical results show that the absorption achieves over 90% ranging from 2.45 THz to 6.25 THz and 99% absorption in the range of 3.7—5.3 THz. The realization of broadband and perfect absorber is described using the impedance matching principle. It is obviously found that the absorber is insensitive to the high angle of incidence for both transverse electric(TE) and transverse magnetic(TM) polarizations. Compared with the former reports, this absorber has remarkable improved absorption efficiency and smaller period. The terahertz absorber may be found applications in the fields of energy capture and thermal detection.

The influences of perforating phase and bedding planes on the fracture deflection in laminated shale

The perforating phase leads to complex and diverse hydraulic fracture propagation behaviors in laminated shale formations. In this paper, a 2D high-speed imaging scheme which can capture the interaction between perforating phase and natural shale bedding planes was proposed. The phase field method was used to simulate the same conditions as in the experiment for verification and hydraulic fracture propagation mechanism under the competition of perforating phase and bedding planes was *** results indicate that the bedding planes appear to be no influence on fracture propagation while the perforating phase is perpendicular to the bedding planes, and the fracture propagates along the perforating phase without deflection. When the perforating phase algins with the bedding planes, the fracture initiation pressure reserves the lowest value, and no deflection occurs during fracture propagation. When the perforating phase is the angle 45°, 60°and 75°of bedding planes, the bedding planes begin to play a key role on the fracture deflection. The maximum deflection degree is reached at the perforating phase of75°. Numerical simulation provides evidence that the existence of shale bedding planes is not exactly equivalent to anisotropy for fracture propagation and the difference of mechanical properties between different shale layers is the fundamental reason for fracture deflection. The findings help to understand the intrinsic characteristics of shale and provide a theoretical basis for the optimization design of field perforation parameters.
