Objective:To investigate the effects of Pien Tze huang(PZH) on the migration and invasion of HCC cells and underlying molecular mechanism.Methods:Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8) was applied to evaluate the cell viabilities of SMMC-7721,SK-Hep-1,C3A and HL-7702(6 × 10^(3)cells/well) co-incubated with different concentrations of PZH(0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8 mg/mL) for 24 h.Transwell,wound healing assay,CCK-8and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining were conducted to investigate the effects of PZH on the migration,invasion,proliferation and apoptosis of SK-Hep-1 and SMMC-7721 cells(650 μg/mL for SK-Hep-1 cells and 330 μg/mL for SMMC-7721 cells),respectively.In vivo,lung metastasis mouse model constructed by tail vein injection of HCC cells was used for evaluating the anti-metastasis function of PZH.SK-Hep-1 cells(10^(6)cells/200 μL per mice) were injected into B-NDG mice via tail vein.Totally 8 mice were randomly divided into PZH and control groups,4 mice in each group.After 2-d inoculation,mice in the PZH group were administered with PZH(250 mg/kg,daily) and mice in the control group received only vehicle(PBS) from the 2nd day after xenograft to day 17.Transcriptome analysis based on RNA-seq was subsequently used for deciphering anti-tumor mechanism of PZH.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR) and Western blot were applied to verify RNA-seq results.Luciferase reporter assay was performed to examine the transcriptional activity of yes-associated protein(YAP).Results:PZH treatment significantly inhibited the migration,invasion,proliferation and promoted the apoptosis of HCC cells in vitro and in vivo(P<0.01).Transcriptome analysis indicated that Hippo signaling pathway was associated with anti-metastasis function of PZH.Mechanical study showed PZH significantly inhibited the expressions of platelet derived growth factor receptor beta(PDGFRB),YAP,connective tissue growth factor(CCN2),N-cadherin,vimentin and matrix metallopeptidase 2(MMP2,P<0.01).Meanwhile,the phosphorylation of YAP was also enhanced by PZH treatment in v

The ignition tendency of diesel fuels is highly sensitive to ambient conditions and fuel properties.In this study,the ignition characteristics of different diesel surrogate fuels with the same derived cetane numbers(DCN) were measured and compared in varied thermodynamic and oxidizing environments.The combustion pressures,heat release rates,ignition delays,and combustion delays of the test fuels were compared.The experimental results showed that the diesel surrogate fuels with the same DCNs exhibit similar ignition propensity at standard DCN test conditions.Further,for the test conditions of high cetane fuels,high ambient temperatures,and suficient oxygen concentrations,surrogate fuels with the same DCN have similar ignition behaviors,and using the DCN to evaluate fuel ignition tendency is appropriate.However,for the test conditions of low cetane fuels,low ambient temperatures,and reduced oxygen concentrations,different ignition behaviors are observed for the surrogate fuels with the same DCN,so at these conditions using DCN as the evaluation index for fuel ignition tendency may lead to higher uncertainty.

In differentiable search architecture search methods,a more efficient search space design can significantly improve the performance of the searched architecture,thus requiring people to carefully define the search space with different complexity according to various operations.Meanwhile rationalizing the search strategies to explore the well-defined search space will further improve the speed and efficiency of architecture search.With this in mind,we propose a faster and more efficient differentiable architecture search method,AllegroNAS.Firstly,we introduce a more efficient search space enriched by the introduction of two redefined convolution modules.Secondly,we utilize a more efficient architectural parameter regularization method,mitigating the overfitting problem during the search process and reducing the error brought about by gradient approximation.Meanwhile,we introduce a natural exponential cosine annealing method to make the learning rate of the neural network training process more suitable for the search procedure.Moreover,group convolution and data augmentation are employed to reduce the computational cost.Finally,through extensive experiments on several public datasets,we demonstrate that our method can more swiftly search for better-performing neural network architectures in a more efficient search space,thus validating the effectiveness of our approach.

Ion and electron motions in the outer electron diffusion region of collisionless magnetic reconnection

Two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations are performed to study the coupling between ion and electron motions in collisionless magnetic reconnection.The electron diffusion region(EDR),where the electron motions are demagnetized,is found to have a two-layer structure:an inner EDR near the reconnection site and an outer EDR that is elongated to nearly 10 ion inertial lengths in the outflow direction.In the inner EDR,the speed of the electron outflow increases when the electrons move away from the X line.In the outer EDR,the speed of the electron outflow first increases and then decreases until the electrons reach the boundary of the outer EDR.In the boundary of the outer EDR,the magnetic field piles up and forms a depolarization front.From the perspective of the fluid,a force analysis on the formation of electron and ion outflows has also been investigated.Around the X line,the electrons are accelerated by the reconnection electric field in the out-of-plane direction.When the electrons move away from the X line,we find that the Lorentz force converts the direction of the accelerated electrons to the x direction,forming an electron outflow.Both electric field forces and electron gradient forces tend to drag the electron outflow.Ion acceleration along the x direction is caused by the Lorentz force,whereas the pressure gradient force tends to decelerate the ion outflow.Although these two terms are important,their effects on ions are almost offset.The Hall electric field force does positive work on ions and is not negligible.The ions are continuously accelerated,and the ion and electron outflow velocities are almost the same near the depolarization front.

Effect of alumina occurrence form on metallurgical properties of hematite and magnetite pellets

The effect of alumina occurrence form on the metallurgical properties of both hematite and magnetite pellets was investigated at the same Al_(2)O level of 2 wt.%,including reduction index(RI),low-temperature reduction disintegration index(RDI),reduction swelling index(RSI),and high-temperature softening-dripping performance.The mineralogy of fired pellets was also studied to reveal the influence of alumina occurrence form on the phase composition and microstructure.From the results,the alumina occurrence form presents tremendous impacts on the metallurgical perfor-mance of both magnetite and hematite pellets.Addition of all alumina occurrence forms contributes to inferior reducibility of pellets,especially in the case of gibbsite for magnetite pellets with a RI of 58.4%and kaolinite for hematite pellets with a RI of 56.8%.However,addition of all alumina occurrence forms improves the RDI of magnetite pellets,while there is no significant difference among various alumina occurrence forms.In contrast,alumina occurrence forms have little influence on the RDI of hematite pellets.The presence of free alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite tends to improve the RSI of hematite and magnetite pellets,whereas hercynite gives the opposite trend with a RSI of 25.6%.For softening-dripping performance of magnetite pellets,all alumina occurrence forms contribute to narrower softening-melting interval.Meanwhile,alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite give narrower softening-dripping interval,at 229,217,and 88℃,respectively,whereas addition of hercynite results in the largest melting range at 276℃ due to its high melting point.Regarding hematite pellets,free alumina,gibbsite,and hercynite tend to enlarge melting range,whereas kaolinite contributes to lower dripping temperature of 1148℃ and narrow softening-dripping interval of 88℃ due to the formation of a greater amount of slag phase at high temperatures.

Li-S batteries are regarded as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation battery systems with high energy density and low cost.However,the dissolution-precipitation reaction mechanism of the sulfur（S） cathode enhances the kinetics of the redox processes of the insulating sulfu r,which also arouses the notorious shuttle effect,leading to serious loss of S species and corrosion of Li anode.To get a balance between the shuttle restraining and the kinetic property,a combined strategy of electrolyte regulation and cathode modification is proposed via introducing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoroprpyl ether（HFE） instead of 1,2-dimethoxyethane（DME）,and SeS7instead of S8.The introduction of HFE tunes the solvation structure of the LiTFSI and the dissolution of intermediate polysulfides with Se doping（LiPSSes）,and optimize the interface stability of the Li anode simultaneously.The minor Se substitution compensates the decrease in kinetic due to the decreased solubility of LiPSs.In this way,the Li-SeS7batteries deliver a reversible capacity of 1062 and 1037 mAh g-1with 2.0 and 5.5 mg SeS7cm-2loading condition,respectively.Besides,an electrolyte-electrode loading model is established to explain the relationship between the optimal electrolyte and cathode loading.It makes more sense to guide the electrolyte design for practical Li-S batteries.

With natural polyphenol compound tannic acid(TA)as the ingredient,copper tannate(CuTA)nanolayer material was formed by self-assembly under the conditions of heating and copper ion.Copper ion and tannic acid could coordinate to form Cu-O-C structure which was similar to the Fe-N-C structure of natural heme enzymes.In addition,the obtained CuTA nanomaterial possessed excellent peroxidase-like catalytic activity and stability.Based on this excellent enzymatic activity,CuTA nanomaterials could be used for colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide with a smartphone and decomposition of organic dyes.Based on the structural characteristics and catalytic activity,the copper tannate nanozymes could also serve as potential antibacterial reagents to effectively inhibit the growth of gram-negative and positive bacteria in a low hydrogen peroxide level.This work may promote the exploration of novel peroxidase mimetics and broaden the applications of nanozymes.

BACKGROUND Despite being one of the most prevalent sleep disorders,obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome(OSAHS)has limited information on its immunologic foundation.The immunological underpinnings of certain major psychiatric diseases have been uncovered in recent years thanks to the extensive use of genome-wide association studies(GWAS)and genotyping techniques using highdensity genetic markers(e.g.,SNP or CNVs).But this tactic hasn't yet been applied to OSAHS.Using a Mendelian randomization analysis,we analyzed the causal link between immune cells and the illness in order to comprehend the immunological bases of OSAHS.AIM To investigate the immune cells'association with OSAHS via genetic methods,guiding future clinical research.METHODS A comprehensive two-sample mendelian randomization study was conducted to investigate the causal relationship between immune cell characteristics and OSAHS.Summary statistics for each immune cell feature were obtained from the GWAS catalog.Information on 731 immune cell properties,such as morphologic parameters,median fluorescence intensity,absolute cellular,and relative cellular,was compiled using publicly available genetic databases.The results'robustness,heterogeneity,and horizontal pleiotropy were confirmed using extensive sensitivity examination.RESULTS Following false discovery rate(FDR)correction,no statistically significant effect of OSAHS on immunophenotypes was observed.However,two lymphocyte subsets were found to have a significant association with the risk of OSAHS:Basophil%CD33dim HLA DR-CD66b-(OR=1.03,95%CI=1.01-1.03,P<0.001);CD38 on IgD+CD24-B cell(OR=1.04,95%CI=1.02-1.04,P=0.019).CONCLUSION This study shows a strong link between immune cells and OSAHS through a gene approach,thus offering direction for potential future medical research.

Carbon-ion radiotherapy(CIRT)offers unique physical and biological advantages over photon radiotherapy.However,some materials and devices in the CIRT treatment room become radioactive under bombardment by therapeutic carbon-ion beams due to nuclear reactions,thereby leading to possible radiation hazards to medical staff and additional and unwanted doses to patients.This study assessed the level of induced radioactivity in the treatment room of the Heavy-Ion Medical Machine(HIMM)in Wuwei.Monte Carlo simulations using PHITS were performed for a conservative case under the conditions of maximum beam energy and intensity provided by the HIMM facility.The geometry and configuration of Treatment Room 2 of the HIMM facility in Wuwei were adopted.We evaluated the activation of air,the phantom,and the components of the beamline,such as the primary collimator(PC),ridge filter(RF),and multileaf collimator(MLC).For air activation,we calculated the medical staff immersion external exposure and inhalation internal exposure caused by the corresponding radionuclides.For phantom activation,we estimated the additional dose to the patient’s family members owing to secondary photons after treatment.In addition,the exemption or non-exemption of the component material activation was assessed.The results showed that external radiation caused by air activation was the main source of the annual effective dose at approximately 0.5 mSv/y.The induced radioactivity exposure to family members of a patient after CIRT was approximately 40μSv,sufficiently lower than the public dose limit of 1 mSv/a.The induced radioactivity of the PC,RF,and MLC was all above the exempt levels after the devices were retired,whereas the induced radioactivity of the RS and compensator could reach the exempt levels after one patient session.Our study indicated that medical staff engaged in CIRT should stay away from the high-dose-rate area of induced radioactivity along the beam direction,shorten the residence time in the treatment room as much as possible,and store
