Petal coloration and pigment components in 12 American crape myrtle cultivars （Lagerstroemia indica x Lagerstroemia fauriei） and five Chinese crape myrtle cuItivars （L. indica hybrids） were studied. Color was measured by CIEL^＊a^＊b^＊ scale and anthocyanin composition of crape myrtle was determined using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to photodiode array detection and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The presence of the previously reported delphinidin 3-O-glucoside, petunidin 3-O-glucoside and malvidin 3-O-glucoside were confirmed. Cyanidin 3-O-glucoside was identified in crape myrtle for the first time. We explored the relationship between petal color and anthocyanin contents by multiple linear regression analyses. The results indicated that total fiavones and fiavonols were important variables and contributed to blue-enhancing in crape myrtle. Based on anthocyanins and co-pigments analysis, flower color breeding in crape myrtle towards true-red and blue were discussed.

AIM:To investigate the incidence of nocturnal dyspeptic symptoms in patients with functional dyspepsia(FD) and whether prokinetic drugs can alleviate them. METHODS:Eighty-five consecutive Chinese patients with FD were included in this *** week after single-blinded placebo run-in treatment,baseline nocturnal intragastric pH,bile reflux and nocturnal dyspeptic symptoms of eligible patients,including epigastric pain or discomfort,abdominal distention and belching, were investigated with *** exhibiting nocturnal dyspeptic symptoms were randomly and double-blindly assigned to domperidone group or placebo *** intragastric pH and percentage of duodenogastric bile reflux time were determined after treatment. RESULTS:Of the 85 FD patients,2 females withoutnocturnal symptoms,who responded to placebo run-in treatment,were excluded from the study,30(36.1%) exhibited nocturnal dyspeptic symptoms with increased duodenogastric bile reflux time(intragastric bilirubin absorbance>0.14)and mean gastric pH(confirming the existence of bile reflux)(P=0.021,0.023) at night were included in the *** these 30 patients,21(70%)had overt nocturnal duodenogastric bile reflux,which was significantly higher than that of those without nocturnal symptoms(P=0.026).The 30 patients were allocated to domperidone group or placebo group(n=15).The nocturnal duodenogastric bile reflux and gastric pH were significantly decreased after domperidone treatment(P=0.015,0.021).The severity score of nocturnal dyspeptic symptoms was also significantly decreased after domperidone treatment (P=0.010,0.015,0.026),which was positively correlated with the reduced nocturnal bile reflux or gastric pH(r=0.736,0.784,0.753 or r=0.679,0.715,0.697, P=0.039,0.036,0.037 or P=0.043,0.039,0.040). Electrochromic asymmetric supercapacitors(EASs), incorporating electrochromic and energy storage into one platform, are extremely desirable for next-generation civilian portable and smart electronic devices. However, the crucial challenge of their fast self-discharge rate is often overlooked, although it plays an important role in practical application. Unfortunately, very limited research on EAS has focused on this critical problem. Here, an ultrathin all-inorganic EAS with excellent anti-self-discharge performance and superior electrochromic behavior is designed and manufactured by introducing a thin nanofunctional layer at the electrode/electrolyte interface. The prototype all-inorganic EAS exhibited a wide working voltage of 2.2 V, a high energy/power density(81.2mWh·cm^(-3)/0.688 W·cm^(-3)and 30.6 mWh·cm^(-3)/11.02W·cm^(-3)), along with outstanding electrochemical and electrochromic performance even at high ***, the introduced Ta2O5layer can efficiently prohibit the redistribution and diffusion of the movable ions at the fully charged state, endowing the all-inorganic EAS with a tardy self-discharge rate of 12.6 mV·g^(-1),which is an extremely low value when compared with previous reported research. Significantly, the ultrathin allinorganic EASs could also well maintain a slow self-discharge rate and their original electrochemical characteristics under various environmental temperatures. We envision that the novel strategy of electrode/electrolyte interface engineering can effectively deal with the severe self-discharge challenge of EAS, and provide more opportunities for their practical applications.

Organic lasers with broad emission bands in near-infrared(NIR)region are crucial for their applications in laser communication,night-vision as well as bioimaging owing to the abundance of selectable lasing ***,for most organic gain materials,gain regions are limited in a small wavelength range because of the fixed energy level ***,we design a strategy to realize NIR organic lasers with broad emission bands based on tunable energy level systems induced by cascaded excited-state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT).A novel gain material named DHNN was developed,which can undergo a cascaded double-ESIPT process supporting four-level and six-level systems *** doping DHNN into polystyrene microspheres,NIR lasers with tunable emission bands can be achieved based on the careful modulation of ***,organic lasers with an ultra-broad emission band ranging from 700 nm to 900 nm was successfully achieved by harnessing four-level and six-level systems simultaneously.

BACKGROUND Autophagy is associated with hippocampal injury following status epilepticus(SE)and is considered a potential therapeutic ***,an emerging multitherapeutic drug,has shown neuroprotective effects in patients with nervous system diseases due to its antioxidant *** To investigate the potential role of autophagy in LiCl-pilocarpine-induced *** The drugs were administered 30 min before *** staining showed that Baicalin attenuated hippocampal injury and reduced neuronal death in the *** blotting and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling assay confirmed that Baicalin reversed the expression intensity of cleaved caspase-3 and apoptosis in hippocampal CA1 following ***,western blotting and immunofluorescence staining were used to measure the expression of autophagy markers(p62/SQSTM1,Beclin 1,and LC3)and apoptotic pathway markers(cleaved caspase-3 and Bcl-2).RESULTS Baicalin significantly upregulated autophagic activity and downregulated mitochondrial apoptotic pathway ***,3-methyladenine,a commonly used autophagy inhibitor,was simultaneously administered to inhibit the Baicalin-induced autophagy,abrogating the protective effect of Baicalin on the mitochondrial apoptotic *** We illustrated that Baicalin-induced activation of autophagy alleviates apoptotic death and protects the hippocampus of SE rats.

BACKGROUND Mirizzi syndrome is an uncommon clinical complication for which the available treatment options mainly include open surgery,laparoscopic surgery,endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP),electrohydraulic lithotripsy,and laser ***,a patient diagnosed with type I Mirizzi syndrome was treated with electrohydraulic lithotripsy under SpyGlass direct visualization,which may provide a reference to explore new treatments for Mirizzi *** SUMMARY This paper describes a middle-aged female patient with suspected choledocholithiasis who complained for over 1 mo of intermittent abdominal pain,dark yellow urine,jaundice,and was proposed to undergo ERCP *** syndrome was found during the operation and confirmed by *** lithotripsy was performed under the direct vision of *** the lithotripsy,the stones were extracted using the stone extraction basket and *** the operation,the patient developed transient *** a series of symptomatic treatments(such as fasting,fluids and antiinflammation medications),the symptoms of the patient ***,laparoscopic cholecystectomy or open cholecystectomy was performed after a half-year *** Direct visualization-guided laser or electrohydraulic lithotripsy with SpyGlass is feasible and minimally invasive for type I Mirizzi syndrome without apparent unsafe outcomes.

Schistosomiasis japonica,caused by the human blood fluke Schistosoma japonicum,remains a major public health problem in China,although great success has been *** control efforts during the past half-decade,notably the wide implementation of the new integrated strategy with emphasis on control of the source of *** infection across the country since 2004,has greatly reduced *** in humans,livestock,and intermediate host Oncomelania hupensis snails,and transmission control of schistosomiasis was achieved in China in 2015.A two-stage roadmap was therefore proposed for schistosomiasis elimination in 2015,with aims to achieve transmission interruption by 2020 and achieve disease elimination by 2025 in the *** the last two decades,a variety of approaches,which target the epidemiological factors of schistosomiasis japonica have been developed,in order to block the transmission cycle of the *** approaches have been employed in the national or local schistosomiasis control activities,and facilitated,at least in part,the progress of the schistosomiasis elimination ***,we present an approach to control the source of *** infection,three new tools for snail control,three approaches for detecting and monitoring *** infection,and a novel model for health *** approaches are considered to play a great role in the stage moving towards transmission interruption and elimination of schistosomiasis in China.

Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)with high ionic conductivity are desirable for solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs)to achieve enhanced safety and energy *** nanofillers into a polymeric matrix to develop nanocomposite solid electrolytes(NCSEs)has become a promising method for improving the ionic conductivity of the ***,a novel ZIF-8-functionalized NCSE was prepared for high-temperature S SLMB s using an in situ radical polymerization *** is found that the ZIF-8 nanoparticles could reduce the crystallinity of polymer segments and offer a Lewis acid surface that promotes the dissociation of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(LiTFSI)and stabilizes the TFSI^(-) anion ***,the as-prepared NCSE exhibits an outstanding ionic conductivity of 1.63×10^(-3)S·cm^(-1),an electrochem ical stability window of 5.0 V at 80℃,and excellent interface compatibility with lithium metal anode with a stable polarization over 2000 ***,the assembled SSLMBs with LiFePO_(4)cathode show dendrite-free Li-metal surface,good rate capability,and stable cycling stability with a capacity retention of 70%over 1000 cycles at a high temperature of 80℃.This work provides valuable insights into promoting the ionic conductivity of SPEs.
