An energy-saving co.trol strategy based on predictive co.trol for central air-co.ditioning systems is proposed in this paper. The co.d load model is developed to describe the dynamic char{4.teristics of temperature co.trol systems, and then parameters in the co.d load model and in the central air-co.ditioning system model are estimated. Generalized predictive co.trol (GPC) is used to establish an optimization model to minimize the co.sumption of energy and the co.trol error of temperature. The simulated annealing (SA) algorithm, co.bined with quadratic programming, is adopted to solve the optimal problem. co.trasted with the simulation of traditional PID co.trol, the results prove the effectiveness of this proposed strategy.
