Main controlling factor and mechanism of gas-in-place content of the Lower Cambrian shale from different sedimentary facies in the western Hubei area, South China

The Lower Cambrian shale gas in the western Hubei area,South China has a great resource prospect,but the gas-in-place(GIP)content in different sedimentary facies varies widely,and the relevant mechanism has been not well *** the present study,two sets of the Lower Cambrian shale samples from the Wells YD4 and YD5 in the western Hubei area,representing the deep-water shelf facies and shallowwater platform facies,respectively,were investigated on the differences of pore types,pore structure and methane adsorption capacity between them,and the main controlling factor and mechanism of their methane adsorption capacities and GIP contents were *** results show that the organic matter(OM)pores in the YD4 shale samples are dominant,while the inorganic mineral(IM)pores in the YD5 shale samples are primary,with underdeveloped OM *** pore specific surface area(SSA)and pore volume(PV)of the YD4 shale samples are mainly from micropores and mesopores,respectively,while those of the YD5 shale samples are mainly from micropores and macropores,*** methane adsorption capacity of the YD4 shale samples is significantly higher than that of the YD5 shale samples,with a maximum absolute adsorption capacity of 3.13 cm^(3)/g and 1.31 cm^(3)/g in average,*** with the shallow-water platform shale,the deep-water shelf shale has a higher TOC content,a better kerogen type and more developed OM pores,which is the main mechanism for its higher adsorption *** GIP content models based on two samples with a similar TOC content selected respectively from the Wells YD4 and YD5 further indicate that the GIP content of the deep-water shelf shale is mainly 34 m^(3)/t within a depth range of 1000—4000 m,with shale gas exploration and development potential,while the shallow-water platform shale has normally a GIP content oflittle shale gas *** the geological and geochemical conditions of shale gas formation a

Machine learning optimization strategy of shaped charge liner structure based on jet penetration efficiency

Shaped charge liner(SCL)has been extensively applied in oil recovery and defense *** superior penetration capability through optimizing SCL structures presents a substantial challenge due to intricate rate-dependent processes involving detonation-driven liner collapse,high-speed jet stretching,and *** study introduces an innovative optimization strategy for SCL structures that employs jet penetration efficiency as the primary objective *** strategy combines experimentally validated finite element method with machine learning(FEM-ML).We propose a novel jet penetration efficiency index derived from enhanced cutoff velocity and shape characteristics of the jet via machine *** index effectively evaluates the jet penetration ***,a multi-model fusion based on a machine learning optimization method,called XGBOOST-MFO,is put forward to optimize SCL structure over a large input *** strategy's feasibility is demonstrated through the optimization of copper SCL implemented via the FEM-ML ***,this strategy is extended to optimize the structure of the recently emerging CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy conical liners and hemispherical copper ***,the strategy can provide helpful guidance for the engineering design of SCL.

Flexible damping technology considering aseismic materials and aseismic structures seems be a good solution for engineering *** this study,a constrained damping structure for underground tunnel lining,using a rubber-sand-concrete(RSC)as the aseismic material,is *** aseismic performances of constrained damping structure were investigated by a series of hammer impact *** damping layer thickness and shape effects on the aseismic performance such as effective duration and acceleration amplitude of time-domain analysis,composite loss factor and damping ratio of the transfer function analysis,and total vibration level of octave spectrum analysis were *** hammer impact tests revealed that the relationship between the aseismic performance and damping layer thickness was not linear,and that the hollow damping layer had a better aseismic performance than the flat damping layer *** aseismic performances of constrained damping structure under different seismicity magnitudes and geological conditions were *** effects of the peak ground acceleration(PGA)and tunnel overburden depth on the aseismic performances such as the maximum principal stress and equivalent plastic strain(PEEQ)were *** numerical results show the constrained damping structure proposed in this paper has a good aseismic performance,with PGA in the range(0.2-1.2)g and tunnel overburden depth in the range of 0-300 m.

Effect of short-time low-temperature austenitizing on microstructure and mechanical properties of DT300 ultra-high strength steel fabricated by laser powder bed fusion

To address the inhomogeneous microstructure and improve the mechanical properties of DT300 ultra-high strength steel specimens fabricated by laser powder bed fusion,different post-heat treatment schedules are *** the increase in austenitizing temperature and time,the migration rate of austenite grain boundaries continuously increases with the dissolution of nano-carbides,and the formation of nano-oxides and twin martensite is also inhibited *** rapid growth in the size of prior austenite grains and martensite laths,as well as the decrease in the content of nano-oxides and twin martensite,led to a rapid decrease in the strength(yield strength and ultimate tensile strength)from HT2 to HTF *** HT1 specimens(austenitizing at 830℃for 30 min,then oil quenching and tempering at 300℃for 120 min and finally air cooling)display excellent mechanical properties of yield strength of 1572 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 1847 MPa,elongation of 9.84%,and fracture toughness of 106 MPa m^(1/2),which are counterparts to those of conventional DT300 steel forgings after heat treatment.

Electrocatalytic water splitting coupled with sustainable energies is identified as an environmentally friendly and renewable strategy to generate high-quality hydrogen for the fuel ***,the main challenge is to develop high performance,low cost and chemically stable electrocatalysts to decline the energy barriers and enhance the sluggish kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Herein,a three-dimensional hierarchically ordered macroporous Ru-CoP@NC electrocatalyst(3DOM Ru-CoP@NC)derived from ordered macro-microporous metal-organic frameworks has been prepared using the precursor@template and double-solvent *** prepared 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalyst exhibits an overpotential of 15 mV(j=10 mA·cm^(-2))and a reaction Tafel slope of 38 mV·dec^(-1)in alkaline electrolyte,which are superior to commercial Pt@C ***,the overpotential and reaction Tafel slope of this catalyst in acidic media are 45 mV and 50 mV·dec^(-1),*** outstanding HER activities of 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts are ascribed to the 3D highly interconnectedreticular nanospaces that can increase effective reaction active *** N dope d carbon framework improves the electronic properties and ***,the strong interaction of Ru and CoP nanoparticles also boosts the HER *** results indicate that 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts with high catalytic activities have a broad application prospect in the future.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a serious complication of hepatic vena cava Budd-Chiari syndrome(HVC-BCS)that significantly reduces the survival time of *** study aimed to analyze the prognostic factors influencing the survival of HVC-BCS patients with HCC and to develop a prognostic scoring ***:The clinical and follow-up data of 64 HVC-BCS patients with HCC who received invasive treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between January 2015 and December 2019 were retrospectively ***-Meier curves and log-rank tests were used to analyze the survival curve of patients and the difference in prognoses between the *** and multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed to analyze the influence of biochemical,tumor,and etiological characteristics on the total survival time of patients,and a new prognostic scoring system was developed according to the regression coefficients of the independent predictors in the statistical *** prediction efficiency was evaluated using the time-dependent receiver operating characteristics curve and concordance ***:Multivariate analysis showed that serum albumin level7 cm(HR=8.623,95%CI:3.771-19.715,Plinical evaluation of patient prognosis.

Full sexual maturity-cycle exposure to environmentally relevant concentrations of 17β-estradiol decreases reproductive capacity of zebrafish

17β-Estradiol(E2)has been widely detected in natural water and treatment with E2 induces potential endocrine disrupting effects in ***,effects on fish fecundity and steroid system after treatment with environmentally relevant concentrations of E2 for the full sexual maturation cycle remain *** this study,zebrafish were treatment with 0,10 or100 ng/L E2 from embryo to adult stage,and effects on gonadal development and differentiation,steroid hormone levels,transcription of genes associated with the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal-liver(HPG)axis in adults and fertilization rate of offspring were *** results showed that treatment with E2 lead to increased number of feminization in *** females,E2 decreased cumulative amount of spawning and inhibited the maturation of *** males,E2 inhibited the maturation and motility of sperm,as well as decreased the movement speed of *** adverse effects on sperm might be responsible for the reduced fertilization observed in *** addition,treatment with E2 changed the levels of steroid hormones in zebrafish gonad and altered the transcriptional levels of genes associated with HPG axis,which is responsible for the regulation of germ cells maturation and gonadal development in ***,these results suggested that treatment with environmentally relevant concentrations of E2 for the full sexual maturity cycle resulted in adverse effects on reproduction in zebrafish.

Enhancing microseismic/acoustic emission source localization accuracy with an outlier-robust kernel density estimation approach

Monitoring sensors in complex engineering environments often record abnormal data,leading to significant positioning *** reduce the influence of abnormal arrival times,we introduce an innovative,outlier-robust localization method that integrates kernel density estimation(KDE)with damping linear correction to enhance the precision of microseismic/acoustic emission(MS/AE)source *** approach systematically addresses abnormal arrival times through a three-step process:initial location by 4-arrival combinations,elimination of outliers based on three-dimensional KDE,and refinement using a linear correction with an adaptive damping *** validate our method through lead-breaking experiments,demonstrating over a 23%improvement in positioning accuracy with a maximum error of 9.12 mm(relative error of 15.80%)—outperforming 4 existing *** under various system errors,outlier scales,and ratios substantiate our method’s superior *** blasting experiments also confirm the practical applicability,with an average positioning error of 11.71 m(relative error of 7.59%),compared to 23.56,66.09,16.95,and 28.52 m for other *** research is significant as it enhances the robustness of MS/AE source localization when confronted with data *** also provides a practical solution for real-world engineering and safety monitoring applications.

Small-break superposed station blackout(SBO)accidents are the basic design accidents of nuclear power *** the condition of a small break in the cold leg,SBO further increases the severity of the accident,and the steam bypass discharg-ing system(GCT)in the second circuit can play an important role in guaranteeing core *** explore the influence of the GCT on the thermal-hydraulic characteristics of the primary circuit,RELAP5 software was used to establish a numerical model based on a typical pressurized water reactor nuclear power *** different small breaks in the cold-leg super-posed SBO were selected,and the impact of the GCT operation on the transient response characteristics of the primary and secondary circuit systems was *** results show that the GCT plays an indispensable role in core heat removal during an accident;otherwise,core safety cannot be *** GCT was used in conjunction with the primary safety injection system during the placement *** the break diameter was greater than a certain critical value,the core cooling rate could not be guaranteed to be less than 100 K/h;however,the core remained in a safe state.

Design,Simulation and Kinematic Validation of a Hip Prosthetic Mechanism with a Multimotor Function

We previously developed a powered hip prosthetic mechanism with kinematic functions of hip flexion-extension and abduction-adduction,and its theoretical and simulation-based kinematics were *** internal-external hip rotation has a positive effect on the movements of human lower limbs according to medical research,we developed a novel hip prosthetic mechanism based on a previous hip prosthesis that possesses motion characteristics similar to those of a human bionic hip,and the motion characteristics of multiple Degrees-of-Freedom(DoFs)were analyzed after kinematic ***,a walking model of the human‒machine model was established,and the walking stability of an amputee,which reflects the rehabilitation effect,was explored while the hip prosthetic mechanism considered the internal-external rotation of the ***,a prototype and its verification platform were built,and kinematic validation of the hip prosthetic mechanism was carried *** results showed that the designed Parallel Mechanism(PM)possesses human-like motion characteristics similar to those of a human bionic hip and can be used as a hip ***,the existing motion characteristic of internal-external hip rotation can enhance the walking stability of an amputee via this hip prosthetic mechanism.
