Numerous experimental evidences show that the grain size may significantly alter the yield strength of ***,innickel-based superalloys,the precipitate size also influences their yield ***,how to describe such two kinds of size effects on the yield strength is a very practical *** this study,according to experimental observations,a collinear micro-shear-bands model is proposed to explore these size effects on metal materials’yield *** analytical solution for the simple model is *** reveals that the yield strength is a function of average grain-size or precipitate-size,which is able to reasonably explain size effects on yield *** typical example validation shows that the new relationship is not only able to precisely describe the grain-size effect in some cases,but also able to theoretically address the unexplained Hall-Petch relationship between theprecipitate size and the yield strength of nickel-based superalloys.

The technique of IP traceback may effectively block DOS (Denial Of Service) and meet the requirement of the computer forensic, but its accuracy depends upon that condition that each node in the Internet must support IP packet marking or detected agents. So far, this requirement is not satisfied. On the basis of traditional traceroute,this paper investigates the efficiency of discovering path methods from aspects of the size and order of detecting packets, and the length of *** points out that the size of padding in probed packets has a slight effect on discovering latency, and the latency with the method of bulk sending receiving is much smaller than one with the traditional traceroute. Moreover, the loss rate of packets with the technique of TTL (Time To Live) which increases monotonously is less than that with the technique of TTL which decreases monotonously. Lastly,OS (Operating System) passive fingerprint is used as heuristic to predict the length of the discovered path so as to reduce disturbance in network traffic.

Anaerobic oxidation of methane: Geochemical evidence from pore-water in coastal sediments of Qi’ao Island (Pearl River Estuary), southern China

The concentrations of CH4 and SO42? in pore-water and the carbon isotope compositions of total dissolved inorganic (ΣCO2) and CH4 were de- termined for three coastal sedimentary cores col- lected from Qi’ao Island (Pearl River Estuary), southern China. Results show that methane concen- tration changes dramatically at the base of the sul- fate-reducing zone and sulfate concentration gradi- ents are linear for all stations. In addition, the carbon isotope of methane becomes heavier at the sul- fate-methane transition (SMT), which causes ΣCO2-δ 13C to become the minimum. The geo- chemical profiles of pore-water render indirect evi- dence for anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM). Based on numerical modeling of AOM and sul- fate-reducing rates, the portion of total sulfate reduc- tion occurring via AOM is 9.0%, 84% and 45.5%, re- spectively, and the percentage of ΣCO2 added to the pore-water is 4.7%, 72.4% and 29.45% correspond- ingly for three sites. Furthermore, it is found that the methane concentration, methane diffusive flux and the depth of SMT are controlled by the quantity and quality of sedimentary organic matter incorporated into the sediments. The great amount of organic material is favorable for rapid depletion of sulfate via sedimentary organic matter degradation, and on the other hand, causes the increase of the methane flux in the SMT, which results in a portion of sulfate re-duction supported by AOM. Accordingly, the SMT was shifted towards the sediment surface.

The detection of chemical contaminants is critical to ensure dairy safety. These contaminants include veterinary medicines, antibiotics, pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and persistent organic pollutants （POPs）. Immunoassays have recently been used to detect contaminants in milk because of their simple operation, high speed, and low cost. This article describes the latest developments in the most important component of immunoassays--antibodies, and then reviews the four major substrates used for immunoassays （i.e., microplates, membranes, gels, and chips） as well as their use in the detection of milk contaminants. The paper concludes with prospects for further aDDlications of these immunoassavs.

BACKGROUND Claudin 7 is often abnormally expressed in cancers and promotes the progression of some malignancies. However, the role of claudin 7 in stage Ⅱ colorectal cancer(CRC) has not been *** To assess the expression and prognostic value of claudin 7 in stage Ⅱ *** We retrospectively studied 231 stage Ⅱ CRC patients who underwent radical surgery at our hospital from 2013 to 2014. The protein expression level of claudin7 was assessed and its relationship with clinicopathological features and prognosis was statistically analyzed. The independent prognostic factors were identified by Cox proportional hazards models. A prognostic grading system was constructed to stratify the survival of CRC *** The expression of claudin 7 was significantly reduced in cancer tissues compared with normal tissues(P < 0.001), and its low expression was closely related to recurrence of the disease(P = 0.017). Multivariate analysis confirmed that claudin7 low expression(claudin 7-low)(P = 0.028) and perineural invasion positivity(PNI+)(P = 0.026) were independent predictors of poor disease-free survival(DFS). A prognostic grading system based on the status of claudin 7 and PNI classified the patients into three prognostic grades: grade A(claudin 7-high and PNI-), grade B(claudin 7-low and PNI-, claudin 7-high and PNI+), and grade C(claudin 7-low and PNI+). The DFS was significantly different among the three grades(grade B vs grade A, P = 0.032;grade C vs grade A, P < 0.001;grade C vs grade B, P = 0.040).CONCLUSION Claudin 7 can be used as a new prognostic marker to predict the DFS of patients with stage Ⅱ CRC. The prognostic grading system with the addition of claudin 7 can further improve prognosis stratification of patients.
