Full conversion of glucose and xy.ose from lignocellulosic hy.roly.ates is required for obtaining a high ethanol ***,glucose and xy.ose share flux in the pentose phosphate pathway.PPP)and gly.oly.is pathway.EMP),with glucose having a competitive advantage in the shared metabolic *** this work,we knocked down ZWF1 to preclude glucose from entering the *** reduced the[NADPH]level and disturbed growth on both glucose or xy.ose,confirming that the oxidative PPP,which begins with Zwf1p and ultimately.leads to CO_(2) production,is the primary.source of NADPH in both glucose and *** glucose depletion,gluconeogenesis is necessary.to generate glucose-6-phosphate,the substrate of *** re-established the NADPH regeneration pathway.by.replacing the endogenous NAD^(+)-dependent gly.eraldehy.e-3-phosphate dehy.rogenase(GAPDH)gene TDH3 with heterogenous NADP^(+)-GAPDH genes GDH,gapB,and *** the resulting strains,the strain BZP1(zwf1Δ,tdh3::GDP1)exhibited a similar xy.ose consumption rate before glucose depletion,but a 1.6-fold increased xy.ose consumption rate following glucose depletion compared to the original strain BSGX001,and the ethanol y.eld for total consumed sugars of BZP1 was 13.5%higher than *** suggested that using the EMP instead of PPP to generate NADPH reduces the wasteful metabolic cy.le and excess CO_(2)^(++) release from oxidative ***,we used a copper-repressing promoter to modulate the expression of ZWF1 and optimize the timing of turning off the ZWF1,therefore,to determine the competitive equilibrium between glucose-xy.ose *** strategy.allowed fast growth in the early.stage of fermentation and low waste in the following stages of fermentation.

In today.s society.there is a wide demand for high-precision and high-stability.time service in the fields of electric power,communication,transportation and *** present,the time standard in various countries is mainly.based on atomic clocks,but the frequency.drift of atomic clocks will affect the long-term stability.*** with atomic clocks,millisecond pulsars have better long-term stability.and can complement with the excellent short-term stability.of atomic *** order to improve the long-term stability.of the atomic timescale,and then improve the timing accuracy.this paper proposes an algorithm for steering the atomic clock ensemble(ACE)by.ensemble pulsar time(EPT)based on digital phase locked loop(DPLL).First,the ACE and EPT are generated by.the ALGOS algorithm,then the ACE is steered by.EPT based on DPLL to calibrate the long-term frequency.drift of the atomic clock,so that the generated steered atomic time follows both the short-term stability.characteristics of ACE and the long-term stability.characteristics of EPT,and finally.the steered atomic time is used to calibrate the local cesium *** experimental results show that the long-term stability.of atomic time after steering is improved by.2 orders of magnitude compared with that before steering,and the daily.drift of a local cesium clock after calibration is less than 9.47 ns in 3 y.,3 orders of magnitude higher than that before calibration on accuracy.

In response to the limitations of the single-chamber water jet thruster used in underwater vehicles mimicked by.natural cephalopods,a novel approach involving a double-chamber water jet thruster has been *** thruster utilizes electromagnetic force to manipulate the diaphragm,thereby.altering the volume of the upper and lower chambers to achieve water jet *** investigations were conducted to determine the tensile length-force characteristics of the diaphragm made of ***,key.parameters of essential propulsion components,such as solenoid coils,electromagnets,and currents,were established based on the tensile length-force curve,and the propulsion capabilities of the sy.tem were evaluated through theoretical *** assessments indicate that the sy.tem does not produce reverse thrust regardless of whether the coil moves up or *** experimental results demonstrate that the maximum peak propulsion force generated by.the dual-chamber water jet thruster within a 3-s cy.le is 0.253N.

The transmission and prevalence of Hand,Foot and Mouth Disease(HFMD)are affected by.a variety.of natural and socio-economic environmental *** study.aims to quantitatively.investigate the non-stationary.and spatially.vary.ng associations between various environmental factors and HFMD *** collected HFMD surveillance cases and a series of relevant environmental data from 2013 to 2021 in Xi'an,Northwest *** controlling the spatial and temporal mixture effects of HFMD,we constructed a Bay.sian spatiotemporal mapping model and characterized the impacts of different driving factors into global linear,non-stationary.and spatially.vary.ng *** results showed that the impact of meteorological conditions on HFMD risk varies in both ty.e and magnitude above certain thresholds(temperature:30°C,precipitation:70 mm,solar radiation:13000 kJ/m^(2),pressure:945 hPa,humidity.69%).Air pollutants(PM_(2.5),PM_(10),NO_(2))showed an inverted U-shaped relationship with the risk of HFMD,while other air pollutants(O_(3),SO_(2))showed nonlinear ***,the driving effect of increasing temperature on HFMD was significant in the 3-y.ar period,while the inhibitory.effect of increasing precipitation appeared evident in the 5-y.ar *** addition,the proportion of urban/suburban/rural area had a strong influence on HFMD,indicating that the incidence of HFMD firstly.increased and then decreased during the rapid urbanization *** influence of population density.on HFMD was not only.limited by.spatial location,but also varied between high and low *** road density.inhibited the risk of HFMD,but higher night light index promoted the occurrence of *** findings further demonstrated that both ecological and socioeconomic environmental factors can pose multiple driving effects on increasing the spatiotemporal risk of HFMD,which is of great significance for effectively.responding to the changes in HFMD epidemic outbreaks.
