This paper demonstrates the controlling abilities of a large PV-farm as a Solar-PV inverter for mitigating the chaotic electrical,electromechanical,and torsional oscillations including Subsynchronous resonance in a turbogenerator-based power *** oscillations include deviations in the machine speed,rotor angle,voltage fluctuations(lead-ing to voltage collapse),and torsional *** the night with no solar power generation,the PV-plant switches to PV-STATCOM mode and works as a Solar-PV inverter at its full capacity to attenuate the *** full sun in the daytime,on any fault detection,the PV-plant responds instantly and stops generating power to work as a Solar-PV *** PV-farm operates in the same mode until the oscillations are fully *** paper mani-fests the control of the DC-link capacitor voltage of the Solar-PV inverter with a bacterial foraging optimization-based intelligent maximum power point tracking controller for the optimal control of active and reactive ***’s multi-machine model aggregated with PV-plant is modeled in the Matlab/Simulink environment to examine the rotor swing deviations with associated shaft *** results for different test cases of interest demonstrate the posi-tive outcomes of deploying large PV-farms as a smart PV-STATCOM for controlling power system oscillations.

As of April 2019,India has 1,42,126 kilometres of National Highways and 67,368 kilometres of railway tracks that reach even the most remote parts of the *** are critical for both passenger and freight movement in the *** bridges play such an important part in the transportation system,their safety and upkeep must be *** Condition Monitoring has the disadvantage of being sluggish,unreliable,and *** Internet of Things has given structural monitoring a *** decreases in the cost of electronics and connection,together with the expansion of cloud platforms,have made it possible to collect large amounts of data remotely,aggregate it,and perform essential analysis to generate actionable *** research focuses on a scalable system for monitoring the state of bridges,such as vibration and loading,employing multimodal inputs,controllers,and Wi-Fi *** accelerometer and load cells were installed on the prototype,tested for a sample load(56.21 grams_(avg),590 grams_(max),and 147.66 grams_(rms))with induced vibration(5.87 m/sec^(2)_(avg),18 m/sec^(2)_(max),and 7.04 m/sec^(2)_(rms))that are processed,displayed on-board,and uploaded to ThingSpeak cloud *** system will aid the maintenance personnel in remotely monitoring *** system can send out notifications if any of these parameters exceeds their threshold value,allowing you to take preventive measures ahead of time.

Independent Lung Ventilation for Reexpansion Pulmonary Edema

Reexpansion pulmonary oedema (RPE) is a rare but potentially fatal complication with no clear cut guidelines for its management. When the injury to the lung is primarily one sided, conventional modes of ventilation can be ineffective and at times harmful. Selective or independent lung ventilation (ILV) is one of the therapeutic modality that can be used for the treatment of such cases. We report the successful treatment of reexpansion pulmonary oedema in 19-year-old boy using independent lung ventilation.
