Microelectrode arrays(MEAs)have enabled investigation of cellular networks at sub-millisecond temporal ***,current MEAs are limited by the large electrode footprint since reducing the electrode’s geometric area to sub-cellular dimensions leads to a significant increase in impedance thus affecting its recording *** report a breakthrough ultra-microelectrodes platform by leveraging the outstanding surface-to-volume ratio of nanowire-templated out-of-plane synthesized three-dimensional fuzzy graphene(NT-3DFG).The enormous surface area of NT-3DFG leads to 140-fold reduction in electrode impedance compared to bare Au microelectrodes,thus enabling scaling down the geometric size by 625-fold to ca.2µm×2µ*** out-of-plane morphology of NT-3DFG leads to a tight seal with the cell membrane thus enabling recording of electrical signals with high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of>*** work highlights the possibility to push the limits of the conventional MEA technology to enable electrophysiological investigation at sub-cellular level without the need of any surface *** presented approach would greatly impact our basic understanding of signal transduction within a single cell as well as complex cellular assemblies.

The surface tension study is very crucial for the design of CO2 gas absorption contacting equipment. The significance of the surface tension has been increasing due to its consideration in various technological fields. This property influences the mass transfer and hydrodynamics of gas absorption systems, mainly multiphase systems, in which the interface between gas and liquid exists. Therefore, in this study, surface tension of aqueous solutions of sodium L-prolinate(SP) and piperazine(PZ) blends were measured at ten different temperatures from(298.15 to 343.15) K. The SP mass fractions were 0.10, 0.20, and 0.30;while the mass fractions of PZ were 0.02 and 0.05. The experimental results showed that the surface tension increase with increasing the mass fractions of SP and PZ in aqueous blends, and decrease linearly with rising temperature. The experimental data of surface tension were correlated by two empirical correlations as a function of temperature and mass fractions for estimating the predicted data using the optimized correlation coefficients. Moreover, the modeling of surface tension data was carried out using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) approach. The results obtianed from ANN modeling were compared with applied empirical correlation. It was found that the ANN approach outperformed the empirical correlation used in this study. Besides, a quantitative analysis of variation(ANOVA) was performed in order to determine the significance of data. The surface tension of aqueous SP and SP + PZ was also compared with various conventional solvents.

This study describes a method for predicting and classifying oxygen-binding proteins. Firstly, support vector machine （SVM） modules were developed using amino acid composition and dipeptide composition for predicting oxygen-binding proteins, and achieved maximum accuracy of 85.5% and 87.8%, respectively. Secondly, an SVM module was developed based on amino acid composition, classifying the predicted oxygen-binding proteins into six classes with accuracy of 95.8%, 97.5%, 97.5%, 96.9%, 99.4%, and 96.0% for erythrocruorin, hemerythrin, hemocyanin, hemoglobin, leghemoglobin, and myoglobin proteins, respectively. Finally, an SVM module was developed using dipeptide composition for classifying the oxygen-binding proteins, and achieved maximum accuracy of 96.1%, 98.7%, 98.7%, 85.6%, 99.6%, and 93.3% for the above six classes, respectively. All modules were trained and tested by five-fold cross validation. Based on the above approach, a web server Oxypred was developed for predicting and classifying oxygen-binding proteins （available from http：//***/raghava/oxypred/）.

These days,imbalanced datasets,denoted throughout the paper by ID,(a dataset that contains some(usually two)classes where one contains considerably smaller number of samples than the other(s))emerge in many real world problems(like health care systems or disease diagnosis systems,anomaly detection,fraud detection,stream based malware detection systems,and so on)and these datasets cause some problems(like under-training of minority class(es)and over-training of majority class(es),bias towards majority class(es),and so on)in classification process and ***,these datasets take the focus of many researchers in any science and there are several solutions for dealing with this *** main aim of this study for dealing with IDs is to resample the borderline samples discovered by Support Vector Data Description(SVDD).There are naturally two kinds of resampling:Under-sampling(U-S)and oversampling(O-S).The O-S may cause the occurrence of over-fitting(the occurrence of over-fitting is its main drawback).The U-S can cause the occurrence of significant information loss(the occurrence of significant information loss is its main drawback).In this study,to avoid the drawbacks of the sampling techniques,we focus on the samples that may be *** data points that can be misclassified are considered to be the borderline data points which are on border(s)between the majority class(es)and minority class(es).First by SVDD,we find the borderline examples;then,the data resampling is applied over *** the next step,the base classifier is trained on the newly created ***,we compare the result of our method in terms of Area Under Curve(AUC)and F-measure and G-mean with the other state-of-the-art *** show that our method has betterresults than the other state-of-the-art methods on our experimental study.

AIM: To check the efficacy of the PERFACT procedure in highly complex ***: The PERFACT procedure(proximal superficial cauterization, emptying regularly fistula tracts and curettage of tracts) entails two steps: superficial cauterization of mucosa at and around the internal opening and keeping all the tracts clean. The principle is to permanently close the internal opening by granulation tissue. This is achieved by superficial electrocauterization at and around the internal opening and subsequently allowing the wound to heal by secondary intention. Along with this, all the tracts are curetted and it is ensured that they remain empty and clean in the postoperative period until they heal completely. The latter step also facilitates the closure of the internal opening by preventing collected fluid in the tracts from entering the internal opening and thus not letting it close. Objective incontinence scoring was done preoperatively and 3 mo after the ***: Fifty-one patients with complex fistula-inano were prospectively enrolled. The median followup was 9 mo(5-14 mo). The mean age was 42.7 ± 11.3 years. Male:female ratio was 43:8. Fistula was recurrent in 76.5%(39/51), horseshoe in 50.1%(26/51), had multiple tracts in 52.9%(27/51), had an associated abscess in 41.2%(21/51), was anterior in 33.3%(17/51), the internal opening was not found in 15.7%(8/51) and 9.8%(5/51) of fistulas had a supralevator extension. Seven patients were excluded(5 lost to follow up, 2 with tuberculosis leading to/associated with fistula-in-ano). The success rate was 79.5%(35/44) and the recurrence rate was 20.5%(9/44). Out of these recurrences, three underwent reoperation(2 PERFACT procedure, 1 fistulotomy) and all three were successful. Thus, the overall success rate was 86.4%. The only complication was a non-healing tract in 9.1%(4/44) of patients. There was no significant change in objective incontinence scores three months after the operation. The pain was minim
