The m.in objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispersion behavior of discrete m.noatom.c chains with lum.ed and distributed *** developed m.del can represent the wave propagation problem.in a non-hom.geneous m.terial consisting of heavy inclusions em.edded in a *** inclusions are idealized by lum.ed m.sses,and the m.trix between adjacent inclusions is m.deled by a nonlinear spring with distributed ***,the m.del is capable of depicting the wave propagation in bi-m.terial bars,wherein the first m.terial is represented by a rigid particle and the second one is represented by a nonlinear spring with distributed *** discrete m.del of the nonlinear m.noatom.c chain with lum.ed and distributed m.sses is first considered,and a closed-form.expression of the dispersion relation is obtained by the second-order Lindstedt-Poincare m.thod(LPm..Next,a continuum.m.del for the nonlinear m.noatom.c chain is derived directly from.its discrete lattice m.del by a suitable continualization *** subsequent use of the second-order m.thod of m.ltiple scales(m.S)facilitates the derivation of the corresponding nonlinear dispersion relation in a closed *** novelties of the present study consist of(i)considering the inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispersion behavior of the discrete m.ss-spring chains;(ii)developing the second-order LPm.for the wave propagation in the discrete chains;and(iii)deriving a continuum.m.del for the nonlinear m.noatom.c chains with lum.ed and distributed ***,a param.tric study is conducted to e.amine the effects of the design param.ters and the distributed spring m.ss on the nonlinear dispersion relations and phase velocities obtained from.both the discrete and continuum.*** param.ters include the ratio of the spring m.ss to the lum.ed m.ss,the nonlinear stiffness coefficient of the spring,and the wave am.litude.

Recently,nano-system. based on m.lecular com.unications via diffusion(m.vD)have been im.lem.nted in a variety of nanom.dical applications,m.st notably in targeted drug delivery system.TDDS)***,because the m.vD is unreliable and there exists m.lecular noise and inter sym.ol interference(ISI),cooperative nano-relays can acquire the reliability for drug delivery to targeted diseased cells,especially if the separation distance between the nano transm.tter and nano receiver is *** this work,we propose an approach for optim.zing the perform.nce of the nano system.using cooperative m.lecular com.unications with a nano relay schem.,while accounting for blood flow effects in term. of drift *** fractions of the m.lecular drug that should be allocated to the nano transm.tter and nano relay positioning are com.uted using a collaborative optim.zation problem.solved by them.dified Central Force Optim.zation(m.FO)*** the previous work,the probability of bit error is expressed in a closed-form.*** is used as an objective function to determ.ne the optim.l velocity of the drug m.lecules and the detection threshold at the nano *** sim.lation results show that the probability of bit error can be dram.tically reduced by optim.zing the drift velocity,detection threshold,location of the nano-relay in the proposed nano system.and m.lecular drug budget.

Histopathological Patterns and early Postoperative Com.lications am.ng Patients with Surgically Treated Thyroid Diseases at Bugando m.dical Centre, m.anza, Tanzania

Background: Thyroid diseases are am.ng the leading endocrine disorders affecting a large proportion of people worldwide and show geographical variation in incidence and histopathological pattern related to age, sex, dietary and environm.ntal factors. Histopathological patterns of surgically treated thyroid diseases play an im.ortant role in early diagnosis and m.nagem.nt of these diseases. There is, however, lim.ted published data regarding histopathological reports on thyroid disease in our local setting. This study aim.d to determ.ne the histopathological patterns and highlight early postoperative com.lications am.ng patients with surgically treated thyroid diseases at Bugando m.dical Centre (Bm.). m.thods: This was a longitudinal study involving all patients with surgically treated thyroid diseases seen at Bm. over a period of 6 m.nths from.October 2019 to m.rch 2020. Results: A total of 84 patients were studied. Fem.les outnum.ered m.les by a fem.le to m.le ratio of 11:1. The m.dian age of patients was 44 [IQR, 35 - 54] years old, the youngest was 14 years old and the oldest was 76 years old. Colloid goiter was the m.st com.on non-neoplastic lesion accounting for 34 (44.7%) patients. Am.ng the neoplastic lesions, follicular adenom. was the m.st com.only encountered benign pathologies (n = 16;21.1%), while papillary carcinom. was the m.st com.only encountered m.lignancy (n = 4;50%). Following thyroidectom., 12 (14.3%) patients developed early com.lications, of which hem.rrhage som.tim.s requiring blood transfusion was the leading intra/postoperative com.lications accounting for 4 (33.3%) patients. Other com.lications include tem.orary recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy 2 (16.7%), surgical site infection 2 (16.7%) and tracheom.lacia, bronchospasm. thyroid abscess and respiratory obstruction in 1 (8.3%) patient each, respectively. The use of biochar can have several effects on plant germ.nation,depending on raw m.terial,preparation m.thod and application ***,the m.lecular m.chanism. that lead to those results have yet to be *** aim.of this research was to im.rove the understanding of these m.chanism. by characterizing the m.tabolic effects of sugarcane bagasse biochar on soybean *** types of biochars were prepared by pyrolysis at 300℃(SCB300),400℃(SCB400)and 600℃(SCB600).Then,each one was m.xed into sand at 1%,3%,5%(w/w)dose,*** experim.nt was perform.d in 8 days of incubation,when the num.er of germ.nated seeds and the average radicle length were *** evaluate the m.tabolom.,the dry biom.ss(DB)was subjected to extraction with a m.xture of m.thanol-d4 and D2O(1:1 v/v).The extracts were subm.tted to m.tabolom.cs analysis by Proton Nuclear m.gnetic *** Relative Germ.nation,Relative Average Radicle Growth and Germ.nation Index increased in all treatm.nts com.ared to *** the other hand,the DB increased in all treatm.nts,except for SCB300,at doses of 1%and 3%w/*** m.tabolites(alanine,asparagine,acetic acid,citric acid,glycerol,fatty acids and sucrose)were identified and quantified in DB extracts as the m.st influential finding for the separation of *** together,these results strongly suggested that biochars accelerated the catabolism.of triacylglycerols to sucrose and induced a slight osm.tic stress.

Background: Physiological and biochem.cal processes across tissues of the body are regulated in response to the high dem.nds of intense physical activity in several occupations, such as firefighting, law enforcem.nt, m.litary, and sports. A better understanding of such processes can ultim.tely help im.rove hum.n perform.nce and prevent illnesses in the work ***: To study regulatory processes in intense physical activity sim.lating real-life conditions, we perform.d a m.lti-om.cs analysis of 3 biofluids(blood plasm., urine, and saliva) collected from.11 wildland firefighters before and after a 45 m.n, intense exercise regim.n. Om.cs profiles post-vs. pre-exercise were com.ared by Student's t-test followed by pathway analysis and com.arison between the different om.cs ***: Our m.lti-om.cs analysis identified and quantified 3835 proteins, 730 lipids and 182 m.tabolites com.ining the 3 different types of sam.les. The blood plasm. analysis revealed signatures of tissue dam.ge and acute repair response accom.anied by enhanced carbon m.tabolism.to m.et energy dem.nds. The urine analysis showed a strong, concom.tant regulation of 6 out of 8 identified proteins from.the renin-angiotensin system.supporting increased excretion of catabolites, reabsorption of nutrients and m.intenance of fluid balance. In saliva, we observed a decrease in 3 pro-inflam.atory cytokines and an increase in 8 antim.crobial peptides. A system.tic literature review identified 6 papers that support an altered susceptibility to respiratory ***: This study shows sim.ltaneous regulatory signatures in biofluids indicative of hom.ostatic m.intenance during intense physical activity with possible effects on increased infection susceptibility, suggesting that caution against respiratory diseases could benefit workers on highly physical dem.nding jobs.

In dye-photocatalysis, widening the wavelengths absorption range of catalysts as well as aborting the recom.ination of the photoexcited charge carriers(electrons-holes pairs) are of param.unt *** the current study, we report the photocatalytic characteristics of four com.ositions com.osed of TiO_(2),Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders for two harm.ul dyes(Congo red and m.thylene blue). The X-ray diffraction technique verified the configuration of m.xed anatase and rutile phases in pure TiO_(2)and Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2)powders while Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders possess anatase phase only. The changes of the band gap structure and dim.nsions of the unit cell volum. of TiO_(2)confirm.the substitution of Ti^(4+)sites by Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions. Rem.rkable widening of wavelengths absorption with form.tion of long absorption tails were found in TiO_(2)(3.13 e V) through insertion of La^(3+)plus Cu^(2+)ions. Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)sam.les exhibit a visible light band gap of 2.3 and 2.7 e V, respectively. Based on Sem.im.ges, incorporation of Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions influences the surface m.rphology of TiO_(2). The resulting Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders present enhanced photocatalytic activity towards Congo red dye degradation com.ared to pure one under natural solar spectrum. The best Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)catalyst exhibits superior photocatalytic activity of 96% for 10 ppm.CR dye in 20 m.n as well as above average photocatalytic efficiency of 63% for 30 ppm.CR dye in 120 m.n. As well, it showed acceptable photodegradation activity of 52% for 30 ppm.m. solution in 140 m.n of sunlight irradiation. 基于SSPs气候场景的濒危植物银杉潜在分布区预测

【目的】探讨影响濒危植物银杉(Cathaya argyrophylla)种群发生的关键因子及预测其在当前与未来的潜在分布区,为银杉天然种质资源的保护和引种栽培提供理论依据。【方法】基于银杉的41个样本点,结合气候、地形、土壤、辐射因子数据,采用m.xent模型预测当前情景下银杉的潜在分布区,评估不同环境因子对银杉地理分布的影响,同时以未来共享社会经济数据(SSPs)作为气候数据,预测银杉未来的潜在分布区。【结果】当前气候条件下,银杉核心适生区面积约为1.325×10^(5)km.(2),约占我国国土面积的1.38%;最干月份降水量、下行紫外线辐射、海拔、最冷月份最低温度对银杉分布影响的累计贡献率为91.9%,是影响银杉地理分布的主导因子。未来3种气候情景下,银杉核心适生区面积均有增加,但仍以黔、湘、桂、渝为中心。【结果】当前气候条件下,银杉核心适生区面积约为1.325×10^(5)km.(2),约占我国国土面积的1.38%,最干月份降水量、下行紫外线辐射、海拔、最冷月份最低温度对银杉分布影响的累计贡献率为91.9%,是影响银杉地理分布的主导因子。未来3种气候情景下,银杉核心适生区面积均有增加,但仍以黔、湘、桂、渝为中心。以生存概率大于0.5作为适应范围,则适宜银杉生存的主要环境条件为:最干月份降水量18.03~215.63 m.,下行紫外线辐射1070728~1437806 W/m.(2),海拔493.68~1731.10 m.最冷月最低温-1.01~4.05℃。【结论】最干月份降水量、下行紫外线辐射可以被认定是影响银杉潜在分布的主要因子。在3种未来气候情景下,银杉的核心适生区均呈扩张趋势,扩张区主要分布于云南、浙江、福建、贵州4省。此外,中间发展路径情景(SSP2-4.5)更适合银杉的生长与繁殖。
