Backgroun.We aimed to evaluate whether large prostate size, small lesion.volume, or lon. lesion.distan.e from the ultrasoun. probe tip would decrease can.er detection.in.tran.rectal magn.tic reson.n.e imagin. (MRI)-targeted *** an. methodsPatien.s who un.erwen. MRI-targeted biopsy at our in.titution.between.May 2017 an. August 2019 were en.olled in.a prospective database. Three to 5 cores were obtain.d from >= 2 prostate imagin. reportin. an. data system v2 lesion.. A multivariable model was created that in.luded n.edle distan.e to the lesion. prostate specific an.igen. prostate imagin. reportin. an. data system, lesion.volume, an. prostate *** total of 377 patien.s with 533 lesion. un.erwen. a biopsy durin. the study period. A total of 233 (44%) lesion. were positive for prostate can.er, an. 173 (32%) lesion. had clin.cally sign.fican. prostate can.er. The mean.n.edle distan.e to the lesion.was 11.7 mm (in.erquartile ran.e, 7.6-15.5 mm). The likelihood of obtain.n. a positive core on.biopsy decreased as the distan.e from the ultrasoun. probe in.reased for all prostate can.ers an. clin.cally sign.fican. prostate can.er (p = 0.018 an. p = 0.004, respectively). Every 10 mm from the rectum, there was an.8%-10% decrease in.the rate of can.er detection. Similarly, as the prostate volume in.reased, the odds of obtain.n. a positive core also decreased (p = 0.039). There was n. sign.fican. association.between.the lesion.size an. amoun. of can.er obtain.d on.*** data showed that tran.rectal MRI-targeted biopsy can.er detection.modestly decreased the lesion.from the ultrasoun. probe an. with a large prostate volume but could n.t prove that lesion.volume was a sign.fican. predictor of the amoun. of can.er detected.

Rhizobium tropici-derived extracellular polymeric substan.es (EPS) have been.used in.soils to en.an.e soil structures an. mitigate soil erosion.. However, in.ormation.on.their use to improve soil health an. fertility in.icators, an. plan. growth is limited. In.a green.ouse study, we in.estigated their effects on.some soil health, soil fertility in.ices, an. the growth of black-eyed peas (Vign. un.uiculate). Results showed that soils in.ubated with EPS sign.fican.ly in.reased basal soil respiration. soil microbial biomass, perman.an.te oxidizable carbon.(POC), an. poten.ially min.ralizable n.trogen.(PMn.. The EPS shifted microbial population. from bacteria to fun.i an. Gram (−ve) to Gram ( ve) bacteria. However, it had little or n. effects on.soil pH, soil organ.c matter (SOM), an. cation.exchan.e capacity (CEC). The EPS decreased soil moisture loss, in.reased soil aggregate stability, but delayed blacked-eyed peas germin.tion. in.the soils. At 0.1% (w/w) con.en.ration. in.soils, there was in.rease in.plan. root n.dulation. an. vegetative growth. This study was carried out within.40 days of in.ubatin. soils with EPS or growin. the black-eyed peas in.a green.ouse study. The plan. growth parameters were taken.before flowerin. an. fruitin..
