Traffic sign detection is one of the key components in autonomous *** autonomous vehicles armed with high quality sensors capture high definition images for further *** traffic signs,moving vehicles,and lanes is important for localization and decision *** signs,especially those that are far from the camera,are small,and so are challenging to traditional object detection *** this work,in order to reduce computational cost and improve detection performance,we split the large input images into small blocks and then recognize traffic signs in the blocks using another detection ***,this paper proposes a three-stage traffic sign detector,which connects a Block Net with an RPN–RCNN detection *** Net,which is composed of a set of CNN layers,is capable of performing block-level foreground detection,making inferences in less than 1 ***,the RPN–RCNN two-stage detector is used to identify traffic sign objects in each block;it is trained on a derived dataset named TT100 *** show that our framework can achieve both state-of-the-art accuracy and recall;its fastest detection speed is 102 fps.

Salivary gland tumors, the second most common neoplasm of the mouth after squamous cell carcinoma, account for a significant proportion of tumors of the oral and perioral regions. An unusual case of adenoma presented as a solitary intraoral palatine mass in a 32-year-old woman is reported here. The tumor was interpreted as an unusual pleomorphic adenoma because of the presence of exuberant squamous metaplasia, clinically mimicking squamous cell carcinoma. Moreover, the presence of cystic structures filled with keratinized material was also salient feature. Pleomorphic adenomas may occasionally display focal squamous metaplastic changes;when extensive, it presents the potential for misinterpretation of the histology as indicative of well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.

Since its launch in 2011, the Materials Genome Initiative（MGI） has drawn the attention of researchers from academia,government, and industry worldwide. As one of the three tools of the MGI, the use of materials data, for the first time, has emerged as an extremely significant approach in materials discovery. Data science has been applied in different disciplines as an interdisciplinary field to extract knowledge from data. The concept of materials data science has been utilized to demonstrate its application in materials science. To explore its potential as an active research branch in the big data era, a three-tier system has been put forward to define the infrastructure for the classification, curation and knowledge extraction of materials data.

Aim: This study sought to develop a process and methodology that could be a useful clinical and research tool for successfully completing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scanning in children with Cerebral Palsy. Method: Six children with CP (mean age of 8.83 years;five with spastic hemiplegia, one with spastic quadriplegia) and three children with typical development (mean age of 9.33 years) completed an fMRI scanning protocol that used real-time motion feedback as a means of minimizing head and trunk motion. Anatomical, resting-state, and motor-task scans were sequentially obtained from each subject. Precentral “hand-knob” regions were identified on the anatomical scan and served as seed regions to reveal the functional connectivity of each subject’s brain as associated with hand movement. Results: Real-time motion feedback aided children in successful completion of resting state scans. Functional connectivity and brain activity mapping were obtained based on anatomical landmarks, and laterality indices were developed based on the obtained functional-connectivity map to specify a dominant side of brain activity that was matched to a clinical profile, despite anatomical variations that occur with Cerebral Palsy. Interpretation: Real-time motion feedback and the development of laterality indices can improve the clinical and research utility of fMRI scanning. What this paper adds: 1) Presents a real-time imaging protocol for fMRI to help children complete scanning;2) Presents an fMRI methodology to obtain laterality indices in the presence of abnormal anatomy;3) Provides findings of LI that match clinical diagnosis.

Paget’s disease(PDB)is a late-onset bone remodeling disorder with a broad spectrum of symptoms and *** of the most aggressive forms is caused by the P937R mutation in the ZNF687 *** the genetic involvement of ZNF687 in PDB has been extensively studied,the molecular mechanisms underlying this association remain ***,we describe the first Zfp687 knock-in mouse model and demonstrate that the mutation recapitulates the PDB phenotype,resulting in severely altered bone *** microcomputed tomography analysis,we observed that 8-month-old mutant mice showed a mainly osteolytic phase,with a significant decrease in the trabecular bone volume affecting the femurs and the ***,osteoblast activity was deregulated,producing disorganized ***,this phenotype became pervasive in 16-month-old mice,where osteoblast function overtook bone resorption,as highlighted by the presence of woven bone in histological analyses,consistent with the PDB ***,we detected osteophytes and intervertebral disc degeneration,outlining for the first time the link between osteoarthritis and PDB in a PDB mouse *** sequencing of wild-type and Zfp687 knockout RAW264.7 cells identified a set of genes involved in osteoclastogenesis potentially regulated by Zfp687,e.g.,Tspan7,Cpe,Vegfc,and Ggt1,confirming its role in this ***,in this mouse model,the mutation was also associated with a high penetrance of hepatocellular ***,this study established an essential role of Zfp687 in the regulation of bone remodeling,offering the potential to therapeutically treat PDB,and underlines the oncogenic potential of ZNF687.

The objectives of this study of pregnant women with asthma are 1) to describe their knowledge and attitudes of asthma in pregnancy and their self-efficacy in carrying out their self-management plan during pregnancy, 2) to determine if their knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy changed as their pregnancy progressed, and 3) to ascertain the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and self-esteem and age, education, trimester of pregnancy, weeks of pregnancy, the number of times pregnant and live births. Sixty-eight pregnant women who had an asthma diagnosis were given knowledge, attitudes and self-efficacy questionnaires initially during the point of first contact (first or second) trimester (Time I) and subsequently during the latter part of their pregnancy (third trimester) (Time II). A demographic data form was also administered at Times I and II. Data were collected in an urban academic medical clinic and analyzed using SPSS 17. Data analysis utilized frequencies, paired samples t tests, and linear regression. There were no significant differences between Time I and Time II in attitudes and self-efficacy. Significant differences were limited to the knowledge questionnaire (t = 4.370, p = 0.05). There was a significant relationship between education and knowledge. Pregnant women with asthma had gaps in their knowledge of asthma in pregnancy, although their knowledge increased as their pregnancy progressed from Time I to Time II. Also, the more education the women had, the better they understood asthma. Education for pregnant women with asthma is tailored to their needs and modified as necessary. Nurses are prepared to address this challenge.
