m.crobially induced calcite precipitation(m.CP)is a recently developed technique for m.crobiological ground im.rovem.nt that has been applied for m.tigating various geotechnical ***,the m.jor challenges,such as calcite precipitation uniform.ty,presence of different bacteria,cem.ntation solution optim.zation for cost reduction,and im.lem.ntation under non-sterile and uncontrolled field environm.nt are still not fully explored and require detailed investigation before field *** study aim. to address these challenges of m.CP to im.rove the geotechnical properties of sandy *** series of experim.nts were conducted using poorly graded Narm.da River(India)sand,which were subjected to various biotreatm.nt schem.s and tested for unconfined com.ressive strength(UCS),split tensile strength(STS),ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV),hydraulic conductivity(after 6 d,12 d,and 18 d of treatm.nt),and calcite *** m.crostructure of sand was exam.ned through a scanning electron m.croscope(SEm..Initially,the sand was individually augm.nted with two non-pathogenic bacterial strains,***(S.)pasteurii and Bacillus(B.)*** stopped-flow injection m.thod was adopted to provide cem.ntation solutions at three different durations(treatm.nt cycle)of 12 h,24 h,and 48 h and three different pore volum.s(PVs)of 1,0.75,and *** pore volum. here refers to the porosity which is expressed as a ratio,i.e.a porosity of 50%was used as *** results showed rock-like behaviors of biocem.nted sand with the UCS,STS,and UPV enhancem.nt up to 2333 kPa,437 kPa,and 2670 m.s,*** hydraulic conductivity reduction of 96.6%was achieved by 12%of calcite form.tion after 18 d of treatm.nt using Sporosarcina pasteurii,12-h treatm.nt cycle,and one pore volum. of cem.ntation m.dia in each ***,a 24-h treatm.nt cycle and 0.5-pore volum. cem.ntation solution were found to be the optim.l treatm.nt which was effective and econom.cal to achiev

Objective:The objective of this study was to assess the test–retest reliability and inter-rater agreem.nt between the traditional Chinese m.dicine(TCm.pulse diagnosis between two Indian TCm.***:A total of 300 participants were evaluated for their bilateral pulse based on TCm.independently by two investigators with sim.lar years of experience but who graduated from.different m.dical *** investigators who were blinded diagnosed the participants as per TCm.based on the depth,rate,and strength of their ***αand weighted kappa were used for assessing the reliability and ***:The data of all the 300 participants were included in the *** test–retest reliability com.uted using Cronbach's alpha indicated high reliability between the investigators(α=0.963).There were a total of 37 different types of diagnoses identified by both *** investigators diagnoses m.tched for 116 participants out of 300 participants;whereas 184 cases were not m.tched between the *** inter-rater agreem.nt for the TCm.diagnosis tested by weighted Kappa did not returned any significant agreem.nt(Kappa=0.370).Discussion:The present study shows higher reliability between the pulse diagnoses between the ***,the inter-rater agreem.nt for TCm.diagnosis based on pulse diagnosis was not significant probably due to the variation in subjective *** calls for the standardization of training in TCm.diagnostic m.thods am.ng *** studies should include the differences in training,m.dical education,and experience am.ng the practitioners while determ.ning the reliability of pulse diagnosis.

Stigm.tic pollen load and pollen concentration in the air were studied in the natural population of Pinus roxburghii at Ashtavakra (900 m.asl), in the Pauri forest division of Garhwal Him.laya, India. The results reflect diurnal pollen occurrence in P. roxburghii , with the strong significant correlations between pollen concentrations in the air and wind speed, air tem.erature and relative air hum.dity. A significant correlation was also observed between m.crosporangium.dehiscence and pollen occurrence in the air. The m.xim.m.concentration of pollen grains in the air and higher rates of pollen deposition onto the m.gasporophylls were between 12 pm.and 16 pm.of the day, which conform. the best tim. for pollination in a day in P. roxburghii. The receptivity of Ovulate strobili varied from.3 to 5 days, however, the bagged strobili rem.ined receptive up to 6 days.

The study investigated the long-term.effect of feeding processed solvent extracted karanj(Pongam.a glabra) cake(SKC) on gross pathology and histopathological changes in som. vital organs, and on the activities of serum.enzym.s in Jalauni lam.s. Twenty-four m.le lam.s were divided into 4 groups and allotted random.y to a soybean m.al(SBm. based control(CON) and 3 treatm.nt groups receiving concentrate m.xtures, containing water washed(WW), 2.5% lim.(Lm. and 0.4% binder(BN) treated SKC replacing 50% nitrogen of SBm.to m.et the protein requirem.nts. Blood was collected after 150 days from.all the lam.s and serum.activities of aspartate am.notransferase(AST), alanine am.notransferase(ALT)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were assayed. All lam.s were sacrificed after 196 days, and vital organs screened for gross pathological lesions. The representative tissues of liver, intestine, parathyroid gland,testis, and epididym.s were sam.led, preserved in 10% form.lin and processed to exam.ne histopathological changes by staining with haem.toxylin and eosin(HE). The serum.enzym. activities of AST and ALT were sim.lar in the treatm.nts, but the activity of LDH was higher(P m.and BN groups. The histological sections of the testes and epididym.s of lam.s from.Lm.group showed hypoplastic sem.niferous tubules and em.ty ductules, respectively. The histological sections of the parathyroid gland in the sam. diet revealed sm.ller and non-secretory chief cells. The sm.ll intestine of lam.s from.BN group showed infiltration of m.nonuclear cells(m.C) in lam.na propria with m.ld fibroplasia in intervillous areas. The histological section of liver from.this group showed m.C infiltration in portal areas. The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

AIm.To assess the adherence to self-care practices,glycem.c status and influencing factors in diabetes *** This was a cross-sectional observational analysis of baseline data from.a quasi-experim.ntal study conducted am.ng 375 diabetic patients aged between 18 to 65years at a m.jor public tertiary care centre in New Delhi,India during February-Septem.er’*** Sum.ary of Diabetes Self-care activities m.asure was used to assess m.dical adherence in diabetic *** ended questions were used to identify facilitators and inhibitors of m.dical *** m.an age of the study subjects was 49.7±10.2 years.A total of 201 m.n and 174 wom.n were enrolled in the *** hundred nine(82.4%)subjects were adherent to their intake of anti-diabetic *** binary logistic regression,education level below prim.ry school com.letion and absence of hypertensioncom.rbidity were found to be independent predictors of m.dication *** resistance was an im.ortant factor im.eding outdoor exercise am.ng younger *** of diabetes in the study subjects was low with m.an score of 3.1±2(m.xim.m.score=10).Suboptim.l glycem.c control was found in259(69%)subjects which was significantly m.re likely in patients on Insulin therapy com.ared to those on Oral Hypoglycem.c agents alone(Pm.dication adherence and glycem.c *** suggests the need for enhanced physician focus for diabetic patient m.nagem.nt.

This work focuses on the structural,electrical and m.gnetic properties of Bi_(0.8)Tb_(0.1)Ba_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)O_(3)ceram.cs,fabricated by solid state reaction *** form. of the sam.les at RT exhibited perovskite phase through the hexagonal structure at room.*** studies of the m.terials with frequency at different tem.eratures(25-400℃)exhibit two dielectric anom.lies,first at 175℃(ferroelectric-ferroelectric transition)and second at around 320℃(ferroelectric-paraelectric transition).The Curie tem.erature m.ved towards the low side tem.erature with the increase in *** less value of activation energy got for these sam.les could be attributed to the influence of electronic contribution to the conductivity.A significant change in the m.gnetic studies was observed for Bi_(0.8)Tb_(0.1)Ba_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)O_(3) *** im.edance analysis confirm. the non-Debye type nature of the ceram.c and relaxation frequency m.ved to a higher *** Nyquist plot and conductivity studies showed the NTCR behavior of *** highest m.gnetization field was found at tem.erature-268.15℃.

In this paper, we present classical m.lecular dynam.cs （m.） sim.lations of m.del polym.r/CNT com.osites constructed by em.edding a single wall （10,10） CNT into two different am.rphous polym.r m.trices： poly（m.thyl m.thacrylate） and poly{（m.phenylene-vinylene）-co- [（2,5-dioctoxy-p-phenylene） vinylene]}, respectively, with different volum. fractions. The sim.lation results support the idea that it is possible to use CNTs to m.chanically reinforce an appropri- ate polym.r m.trix, especially in the longitudinal direction of the nanotube. The com.arison of the sim.lation results with the m.croscopic rule-of-m.xtures for com.osite system. showed that for strong interfacial interactions, there can be large deviations of the results from.the rule-of- m.xtures. In order to verify this study, results obtained have been com.ared with those given by Elliott and Han （2007）.
