The development of multimedia content has resulted in a massiveincrease in network traffic for video streaming. It demands such types ofsolutions that can be addressed to obtain the user’s Quality-of-Experience(QoE). 360-degree videos have already taken up the user’s behavior by storm.However, the users only focus on the part of 360-degree videos, known as aviewport. Despite the immense hype, 360-degree videos convey a loathsomeside effect about viewport prediction, making viewers feel uncomfortablebecause user viewport needs to be pre-fetched in advance. Ideally, we canminimize the bandwidth consumption if we know what the user motionin advance. Looking into the problem definition, we propose an EncoderDecoder based Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) model to more accuratelycapture the non-linear relationship between past and future viewport positions. This model takes the transforming data instead of taking the direct inputto predict the future user movement. Then, this prediction model is combinedwith a rate adaptation approach that assigns the bitrates to various tiles for360-degree video frames under a given network capacity. Hence, our proposedwork aims to facilitate improved system performance when QoE parametersare jointly optimized. Some experiments were carried out and compared withexisting work to prove the performance of the proposed model. Last but notleast, the experiments implementation of our proposed work provides highuser’s QoE than its competitors.

Protective Coatings Containing ZnMOF-BTA Metal–Organic Framework for Active Protection of AA2024-T3

ZnMOF-BTA,a new metal–organic framework with excellent anti-corrosion properties was prepared and characterized.Polarization and immersion tests in 3.5 wt%NaCl were performed on AA2024-T3 alloy to assess the corrosion inhibition ability of ZnMOF-BTA.It showed an inhibition efficiency of more than 90%,indicating excellent corrosion inhibition of ZnMOF-BTA on AA 2024-T3 in NaCl.Moreover,ZnMOF-BTA particles were incorporated into polyurethane coatings to create corrosion-resistant coatings.Electrochemical tests and neutral salt spray analysis were used to assess the corrosion protection ability of ZnMOF-BTA-laden polyurethane coatings.The results of electrochemical impedance spectra clearly showed the outstanding corrosion resistance and durability of ZnMOF-BTA coatings after 1440 h of immersion with a high pore resistance(Rpo)of 1.76×10^(10)Ωcm^(2).In addition,during the cross-cut adhesion test,the coating did not detach from the substrate,and after the impact test,there was scarcely any indication of a fracture,which further supports the notion that the coating has strong adhesion to the substrate.

The outbreak of the deadly virus(novel coronavirus or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2)that emerged in December 2019,remained a controversial subject of intense speculations regarding its origin,became a worldwide health problemresulting in serious coronavirus disease 2019(acronym COVID-19).The concern regarding this new viral strain“Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2”(acronym SARS-CoV-2)and diseases it causes(COVID-19)is well deserved at all levels.The incidence of COVID-19 infection and infectious patients are increasing at a high rate.Coronaviruses(CoVs),enclosed positive-sense RNA viruses,are distinguished by club-like spikes extending from their surface,an exceptionally large genome of RNA,and a special mechanism for replication.Coronaviruses are associated with a broad variety of human and other animal diseases spanning fromenteritis in cattle and pigs and upper chicken respiratory disease to extremely lethal human respiratory infections.With World Health Organization(WHO)declaring COVID-19 as pandemic,we deemed it necessary to provide a detailed review of coronaviruses discussing their history,current situation,coronavirus classification,pathogenesis,structure,mode of action,diagnosis and treatment,the effect of environmental factors,risk reduction and guidelines to understand the virus and develop ways to control it.

Disparities in esophageal cancer incidence and esophageal adenocarcinoma mortality in the United States over the last 25-40 years

BACKGROUND Esophageal carcinoma presents as 2 types,esophageal adenocarcinoma(EAC)and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)with the frequency of both changing in the United States(US).AIM To investigate EAC/ESCC incidence time trends among the 3 main US racial groups and investigate trends in US EAC survival by ethnicity.METHODS Twenty-five years(1992-2016)of data from SEER 13 program was analyzed to compare incidence trends in EAC and ESCC between non-Hispanic whites(nHW),non-Hispanic Blacks(nHB)and Hispanics(Hisp)using SEERStat®.In addition,SEER 18 data,from 1975-2015,on EAC in the US was analyzed to evaluate racial disparities in incidence and survival using SEERStat®and Ederer II method.RESULTS In the 3 major US ethnic groups,age-adjusted incidence of ESCC has declined while EAC has continued to rise from 1992-2016.Of note,in Hisp,the EAC incidence rate increased while ESCC decreased from 1992 to 2016,resulting in EAC as the predominant esophageal cancer subtype in this group since 2011,joining nHW.Furthermore,although ESCC remains the predominant tumor in nHB,the difference between ESCC and EAC has narrowed dramatically over 25 years.EAC survival probabilities were worse in all minority groups compared to nHw.CONCLUSION Hisp have joined nHW as US ethnic groups more likely to have EAC than ESCC.Of note,EAC incidence in nHB is increasing at the highest rate nationally.Despite lower EAC incidence in all minority groups compared to nHW,these populations have decreased survival compared to nHW.

BACKGROUND Hepatitis B virus(HBV) is a cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Interestingly, this process is not necessarily mediated through cirrhosis and may in fact involve oncogenic processes. Prior studies have suggested specific oncogenic gene expression pathways were affected by viral regulatory proteins. Thus, identifying these genes and associated pathways could highlight predictive factors for HCC transformation and has implications in early diagnosis and treatment.AIM To elucidate HBV oncogenesis in HCC and identify potential therapeutic targets.METHODS We employed our Search, Tag, Analyze, Resource platform to conduct a meta-analysis of public data from National Center for Biotechnology Information’s Gene Expression Omnibus. We performed meta-analysis consisting of 155 tumor samples compared against 185 adjacent nontumor samples and analyzed results with ingenuity pathway analysis.RESULTS Our analysis revealed liver X receptors/retinoid X receptor(RXR) activation and farnesoid X receptor/RXR activation as top canonical pathways amongst others. Top upstream regulators identified included the Ras family gene rab-like protein 6(RABL6). The role of RABL6 in oncogenesis is beginning to unfold but its specific role in HBV-related HCC remains undefined. Our causal analysis suggests RABL6 mediates pathogenesis of HBV-related HCC through promotion of genes related to cell division, epigenetic regulation, and Akt signaling. We conducted survival analysis that demonstrated increased mortality with higher RABL6 expression. Additionally, homeobox A10(HOXA10) was a top upstream regulator and was strongly upregulated in our analysis. HOXA10 has recently been demonstrated to contribute to HCC pathogenesis in vitro. Our causal analysis suggests an in vivo role through downregulation of tumor suppressors and other mechanisms.CONCLUSION This meta-analysis describes possible roles of RABL6 and HOXA10 in the pathogenesis of HBV-related HCC. Flexible and Reusable Non-woven Fabric Photodetector Based on Polypyrrole/Crystal Violate Lactone for NIR Light Detection and Writing

Rapid NIR light detection and/or writing has drawn much attention,but their practical applications have been limited by obtaining such NIR photodetectors.To address this problem,we have developed a simple and versatile strategy to prepare a non-woven fabric photodetector.The blue non-woven fabric photodetector has been prepared by coating photo-thermochromic ink(including crystal violet lactone(CVL)as the thermo-sensitive dye,polypyrrole(PPy)nanospheres as the photothermal component and hydroxyethyl cellulose(HEC)as the polymer matrix)on white non-woven fabric.When the blue fabric photodetector is irradiated by NIR(808-nm as model,0.75 W cm^(−2))laser,the discoloration occurs in 35 s,and higher laser intensity confers more rapid discoloration.This discoloration results from the photothermal effect of PPy which confers the elevation of temperature(>50℃)and then converts CVL to its leuco form(colorless).When the laser is turned off,the temperature drops to below the transition temperature(<43℃),and then CVL reverts to its initial blue color.Moreover,different figures and images can be easily printed on the fabric photodetector by 808 nm laser,and then they can be erased automatically under ambient conditions,with excellent cycling stability.Therefore,this fabric photodetector may act as a new platform for rapid NIR light detection and writing.

Some New Applications of Elzaki Transform for Solution of Linear Volterra Type Integral Equations

Volterra type integral equations have diverse applications in scientific and other fields. Modelling physical phenomena by employing integral equations is not a new concept. Similarly, extensive research is underway to find accurate and efficient solution methods for integral equations. Some of noteworthy methods include Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), Variational Iteration Method (VIM), Method of Successive Approximation (MSA), Galerkin method, Laplace transform method, etc. This research is focused on demonstrating Elzaki transform application for solution of linear Volterra integral equations which include convolution type equations as well as one system of equations. The selected problems are available in literature and have been solved using various analytical, semi-analytical and numerical techniques. Results obtained after application of Elzaki transform have been compared with solutions obtained through other prominent semi-analytic methods i.e. ADM and MSA (limited to first four iterations). The results substantiate that Elzaki transform method is not only a compatible alternate approach to other analytic methods like Laplace transform method but also simple in application once compared with methods ADM and MSA.

Biliary stenting is clinically effective in relieving both malignant and non-malignant obstructions. However, there are high failure rates associated with tumor ingrowth and epithelial overgrowth as well as internally from biofilm development and subsequent clogging. Within the last decade, the use of prophylactic drug eluting stents as a means to reduce stent failure has been investigated. In this review we provide an overview of the current research on drug eluting biliary stents. While there is limited human trial data regarding the clinical benefit of drug eluting biliary stents in preventing stent obstruction, recent research suggests promise regarding their safety and potential efficacy.
