Classification of inelastic deformation and material-intrinsic indices about mechanical performance of general solid matter

The present article is aimed to detect material-intrinsic indices that can be used to supervise the mechanical performance of general solid matter.The novelty carried in this article can be summarised as follows.Firstly,an inelastic deformation state of almost any solid matter can be treated as the combination of two fundamental modes due to different microscopic causation:Mode I inelastic distortion due to the movement of sliding types of defects and Mode II inelastic dilation due to the evolution of voids/bubbles.Secondly,each inelastic deformation mode is characterised by a single principal inelastic deformation descriptor(PIDD):Mode I by a newly introduced quantity of maximum distortional angle changeαand Mode II by the logarithm of dilating magnificationω.In particular,the concept of maximum distortional angle change gives rise to a geometrically intuitive yield criterion ofα>α_(c),which in situations of small deformation,is shown to asymptote von Mise's,and to become Tresca's in cases of plane stress.Thirdly,the deformation process of a solid matter under monotonic and ambient loads is formulated by means of trajectories of thermodynamic equilibria with respect to the PIDD pair.Then a pair of physical quantities which measure the stresses needed to change the local PIDD state are singled out.Being termed as inelastic deformation resistances(IDRs),these two quantities are shown to depend only on the onsite atomic configurations.It is also shown that key descriptive properties about the mechanical behaviours of materials,such as ductility,are encoded in IDRs as functions of PIDDs.Hence the IDR pair may serve as material performance indices that may be more intrinsic than conventional stress-strain relationships.

A strong robustness open-circuit fault diagnosis strategy for novel fault-tolerant electric drive system based on d-q-axis current signal

To diagnose the Open-Circuit(OC)fault in the novel fault-tolerant electric drive system,based on d-q-axis current signal,a strong robustness diagnosis strategy is proposed and investigated.Fewer independent power supplies and converters are required in the novel fault-tolerant electric drive system based on Dual-Winding Permanent Magnet Motor(DWPMM),and the system’s reliability,usage ratio and power density have been improved compared to the conventional fault-tolerant motor drive system.However,the novel fault-tolerant electric drive system has the OC fault diagnostic false alarms issue when load changes suddenly or under light-load condition.And it lacks the research on the diagnostic method when the system encounters intermittent OC fault in power switches.By theory derivation,simulation and experimental verification,it can be concluded that the proposed strong robustness OC fault diagnosis strategy based on d-q-axis current signal can overcome the OC fault diagnostic false alarms issue when load changes suddenly or under light-load condition.And it can detect and locate the OC fault of single-phase winding in real time,and diagnose the intermittent OC fault of power switches.

To improve the performance of the traditional fault-tolerant permanent magnet(PM)motor,the design and optimal schemes of dual-winding fault-tolerant permanent magnet motor(DWFT-PMM)are proposed and investigated.In order to obtain small cogging torque ripple and inhibiting the short-circuit current,the air gap surface shape of the PM and the anti short-circuits reactance parameters are designed and optimized.According to the actual design requirements of an aircraft electrical actuation system,the parameters,finite element analysis and experimental verification of the DWFT-PMM after optimal design are presented.The research results show that the optimized DWFT-PMM owns the merits of strong magnetic isolation,physics isolation,inhibiting the short circuit current,small cogging torque ripple and high fault tolerance.

The Clinical Value of Artery Umbilical Cord Blood Gas in Predicting Neonate Condition:A Prospective Cohort Study

Objective:To evaluate the predictive ability of neonate condition through the traditional parameters and artery umbilical cord blood gas(aUCBG).Methods:A prospective cohort study was conducted in obstetrics and gynecology department between October 2017 and August 2018 at Tongji Hospital in Wuhan,China,and 360 aUCBG samples were collected.The average age of pregnant women was(29.50±4.42)years,range from 19 to 48 years old.The gestational age range from 28+4 weeks to 41+3 weeks at admission.Logistic regression and area under the curve(AUC)from Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to identify risk factors,such as,premature rupture of membranes(PROM),high blood pressure,premature delivery(PD),low 1-minute Apgar scores(Apgar 1),low 5-minute Apgar scores(Apgar 5),pH,base excess,bicarbonate,neonatal blood sugar(NBS),and so on,to predict neonatal condition and evaluate the predictive ability of traditional and aUCBG parameters.Results:In all cases,PROM,PD,Apgar 1,Apgar 5,pH,base excess,bicarbonate,total carbon dioxide,and neonatal blood sugar were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Apgar 1 were an independent risk factor.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had higher AUC of 0.895(95%confidence interval(C/):0.830-0.960,P<0.001).In cesarean section subgroup,high blood pressure,PD,and Apgar 1 were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Apgar 1 and low pH were the independent risk factors.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had highest AUC of 0.940(95%C/:0.886-0.993,P<0.001).In vaginal delivery subgroup,maternal age above 35 years,PROM,PD,Apgar 1,Apgar 5,and male newborn were risk factors and were associated with poor condition of neonate.Maternal age above 35 years was an independent risk factor.Combined traditional and aUCBG parameters had highest AUC of 0.897(95%Cl:0.828-0.965,P<0.001).For pregnant women without comorbidities and complications of pregnancy,aUCBG may not be necessat7.Conclusion:In high-risk pregnancies,especially lower Apgar s

Energy distribution between liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen temperatures in a Stirling/pulse tube refrigerator

A two-stage gas-coupled Stirling/pulse tube refrigerator(SPR),whose first and second stages respectively involve Stirling and pulse tube refrigeration cycles,is a very promising spaceborne refrigerator.The SPR has many advantages,such as a compact structure,high reliability,and high performance,and is expected to become an essential refrigerator for space applications.In research regarding gas-coupled regenerative refrigerator,the energy flow distribution between the two stages,and optimal phase difference between the pressure wave and volume flow,are two critical parameters that could widely influence refrigerator performance.The effects of displacer displacement on the pressure wave,phase difference,acoustic power distribution,and inter-stage cooling capacity shift of the SPR have been investigated experimentally.Notably,to obtain the maximum first-stage cooling capacity,an inflection point in displacement exists.When the displacer displacement is larger than the inflection point,the cooling capacity could be distributed between the first and second stages.In the present study,an SPR was designed and manufactured to work between the liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen temperatures,which can be used to cool small-scale zero boil-off systems and space detectors.Under appropriate displacer displacement,the SPR can reach a no-load cooling temperature of 15.4 K and obtain 2.6 W cooling capacity at 70 K plus 0.1 W cooling capacity at 20 K with 160 W compressor input electric power.

Climate forecasting,especially for the abnormal weather like El Ni?o and La Ni?a etc.,is one of the most difficult tasks of time series prediction domain,because of its inherent difficulty of long-term forecasting.In this paper,we investigate whether there is a simple pattern to describe El Ni?o phenomenon that can be reconstructed by mathematical models and a multiple steps ahead predicting method is proposed,which is an improved echo state network（ESN） using the phase-space reconstruction（PSR）.PSR is to embed a one-dimensional time series sequence in a high-dimension phase space as the input of the ESN.Specifically,the method PSR-ESN can capture seasonal characteristics of the climate data and reduce the lag of prediction as much as possible.The method is evaluated on a real Ni?o 3 SST index data and it outperforms the other state-of-the-art baselines from the perspective of the magnitude and the lag.

为了减缓页岩气井钻采过程中金属设备出现的腐蚀与磨损问题,以苯并三氮唑、甲醛、苯乙酮、氯乙酸钠为原料制备出一种具有缓蚀性能、润滑性能的含氮杂环衍生物ZP来延长钻井金属设备的使用寿命。采用失重法、电化学法分析含氮杂环衍生物ZP在腐蚀介质中的缓蚀行为,采用极压润滑仪、四球摩擦磨损试验机测试其在盐水钻井液中的润滑效果,通过分子动力学模拟法研究含氮杂环衍生物ZP对N80钢表面的吸附性能。实验表明:含氮杂环衍生物ZP在盐水钻井液以及盐水溶液中均表现出优异的缓蚀性能,使N80钢的腐蚀速率远小于0.0760 mm/a,其缓蚀效率高于70.00%,且属于以抑制阴极过程为主的混合控制型缓蚀剂。含氮杂环衍生物ZP分子可自发吸附在铁晶胞表面,挤走表面H2O分子,形成一层致密的油膜,起到润滑作用,使盐水钻井液的润滑系数低于0.100,且与盐水钻井液具有良好的配伍性能。

Optimization of the Swept Volume Ratio between the Compressor and the Active Displacer in an Efficient 20 K Thermal-Coupled Two-Stage Pulse Tube Cryocooler

As an important component of the stirling-type pulse tube cryocooler(SPTC),an efficient phase shifter can significantly improve the cooling capacity.Compared to the common phase shifter,the active warm displacer(AWD)has a wider phase adjustment range and therefore can obtain a better phase relationship easily.Based on a two-stage thermal-coupled SPTC operating in the 20 K range,this paper studied the influence of the swept volume ratio between the compressor and displacer.The research found that the swept volume ratio changes the cooling capacity and efficiency of the cryocooler mainly by changing the phase difference between the pressure wave and the volume flow at the cold end.It was found from the results of the simulation and experiments that there is an optimal displacement of the displacer(Xd)of 2.5 mm and an optimal phase angle of 15°to obtain the highest cooling efficiency while the displacement of the compressor is constant.The cooling capacity at 20 K is 1.3 W while the input electrical power of the second stage compressor is 202 W,which indicates an overall relative Carnot efficiency(rCOP)of 0.055 in terms of input electrical power.In addition,due to the reasonable setting of precooling temperature and capacity,the swept volume ratio and phase at the maximum cooling capacity and maximum efficiency are consistent in this study.The research improves the understanding of phase shifters and has guiding significance for the optimization of the SPTC working below 20 K.
