Long-term fertilization and residue return affect soil stoichiometry characteristics and labile soil organic matter fractions

Ecological stoichiometry provides the possibility for linking microbial dynamics with soil carbon(C),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus(P)metabolisms in response to agricultural nutrient *** determine the roles of fertilization and residue return with respect to ecological stoichiometry,we collected soil samples from a 30-year field experiment on residue return(maize straw)at rates of 0,2.5,and 5.0 Mg ha^-1 in combination with 8 fertilization treatments:no fertilizer(F0),N fertilizer,P fertilizer,potassium(K)fertilizer,N and P(NP)fertilizers,N and K(NK)fertilizers,P and K(PK)fertilizers,and N,P,and K(NPK)*** measured soil organic C(SOC),total N and P,microbial biomass C,N,and P,water-soluble organic C and N,KMnO4-oxidizabIe C(KMnO4-C),and carbon management index(CMI).Compared with the control(F0 treatment without residue return),fertilization and residue return significantly increased the KMn〇4-C content and ***,compared with the control,residue return significantly increased the SOC ***,the NPK treatment with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 significantly enhanced the C:N,C:P,and N:P ratios in the soil,whereas it significantly decreased the C:N and C:P ratios in soil microbial ***,NPK fertilizer application combined with residue return at 5.0 Mg ha^-1 could enhance the SOC content through the stoichiometric plasticity of *** return and fertilization increased the soil C pools by directly modifying the microbial stoichiometry of the biomass that was C limited.

In this paper,the aqueous two-phase systems(ATPS)containing n-ethylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate([EPy]BF_(4)),sodium-based salts,and water were studied and the extraction efficiency of 2-chlorophenol was measured to study the ATPS performance in extracting phenolic *** binodal curves of[EPy]BF_(4)+sodium carbonate(Na_(2)CO_(3))ATPS and[EPy]BF_(4)+sodium dihydrogen phosphate(NaH_(2)PO_(4))ATPS have been determined at 308.15 K,318.15 K,and 328.15 K and atmospheric *** getting good correlation with Merchuk equation,the binodal curves together with gravimetric method were used to calculate the tie-lines ***,the reliability of tie-lines data was verified using Othmer-Tobias and Bancroft ***,the salt influence and temperature influence on the phase behavior were discussed and the results show the salt-outing ability of Na_(2)CO_(3) is better than NaH_(2)PO_(4).With the aim of studying the ATPS performance in extracting phenolic compounds,extraction efficiency for 2-chlorophenol at different temperatures were studied and the results show that[EPy]BF_(4)+Na_(2)CO_(3) ATPS is preferred than[EPy]BF_(4)+NaH_(2)PO_(4) ATPS in applications.

Multi-objective and multi-scheme research on water and sediment regulation potential of reservoirs in the upper Yellow River

The problems of the deteriorating relation between water and sediment, and the escalating conflict between water supply and demand in the upper Yellow River(YR), need to be addressed. Reservoirs of Longyangxia, Liujiaxia, and heishanxia(Long-Liu-hei) in the upper YR are taken as the research object, and a multi-objective, water-sediment optimal operation model for cascade reservoirs Long-Liu-hei has been developed. This operation model considers the comprehensive requirements of water supply, power generation, flood control, and especially, water and sediment regulation. The improved Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithms(NSGA-II) method is used to demonstrate the water and sediment regulation potential of three scenario schemes under long-term conditions, and the adjustable water allocation of four schemes under typical year conditions are calculated. It is recommended to use the mode of generating hydropower depending on the available water amount as the best operating mode under the conditions of a long time series and for typical years. This recommended operation mode has verified the rationality and accuracy of the reservoir operations *** the same time, compared with the calculation results for water and sediment regulation after the construction of the heishanxia, the current research indicates:(1) Under the recommended model, the potential for water and sediment regulation under the long-term series and typical years is once every four years.(2) Inter-basin water transfer greatly improves the cascade power generation. When the adjustable water volume is converted into the controlled volume for water and sediment regulation,the intensity frequency of water and sediment regulation of cascade reservoirs are improved.(3) With the intensification of the contradiction between the supply of and demand for water resources in the upper YR in the future, the amount of transferable water exhibits a decreasing trend, and the regulation of water and sediment in th

Amino-functionalized porous PDVB with high adsorption and regeneration performance for fluoride removal from water

Excessive fluoride anions in drinking water are toxic to the health of human *** this article,an effective fluoride removal adsorbent on the basis of amino-functionalized porous polydivinylbenzene(PDVB)was prepared through low cost processes,which included solvothermal preparation of porous PDVB and subsequent surface *** obtained amino-functionalized porous PDVB(A-PDVB)has high surface area of 443 m2 g1 and high adsorption capacity towards fluoride anion up to 105.9 mg *** adsorbents surface area,the adsorption capacity per unit surface area of A-PDVB is 0.24 mg m2 which is more than 4 times of porous PDVB(0.058 mg m2).The enhanced adsorption performance of A-PDVB was due to amino groups electrostatic interaction coupled with hydrogen bond binding with fluoride *** addition,the aminofunctionalized porous PDVB could be regenerated in high efficiency under alkaline *** work not only exhibits the possibility of A-PDVB for application as an environment-friendly adsorbent for fluoride removal but also gives an insight into understanding mechanism of the fluoride anions adsorption onto aminofunctionalized porous PDVB.

Implementation of field-aligned coordinates in a semi-Lagrangian gyrokinetic code for tokamak turbulence simulation

Field-aligned coordinates have been implemented in the gyrokinetic semi-Lagrangian code NLT, Ye et al （2016 J. Comput. Phys. 316 180）, to improve the computational efficiency for the numerical simulations of tokamak turbulence and transport. 4D B-spline interpolation in field- aligned coordinates is applied to solve the gyrokinetic Vlasov equation. A fast iterative algorithm is proposed for efficiently solving the quasi-neutrality equation. A pseudo transform method is used for the numerical integration of the gyro-average operator for perturbations with a high toroidal mode number. The new method is shown to result in an improved code performance for reaching a given accuracy. Some numerical tests are presented to illustrate the new methods.

Pores and fractures are important components of flow channels in coal-measure gas *** considerable studies have been conducted on pore structure evolution,very few studies have investigated the fracture distribution and self-similarity *** reveal the characteristics of fracture distribution in coal and shale reservoirs,computed tomography studies were performed on 15 coal and shale samples from the Shanxi and Taiyuan *** results show that the fracture distribution of samples of the same lithology differs significantly,and the fracture distribution heterogeneity of shale samples is much higher than that of coal *** shale,the heterogeneity of fracture distribution is mainly caused by pores and fractures smaller than 2μm in the z-direction,with relatively little contributions from pores and fractures in the x and y ***,the heterogeneity of fracture distribution in coal is mainly controlled by pores and fractures larger than 2μm in all directions,and the difference between the three directions is *** was shown that a great number of microscopic pores and fractures contribute to the highest fractions of porosity in different lithological *** method is useful for determining the fracture distribution characteristics in shale and coal-measure gas reservoir.

All-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLBs)have attracted great interest due to their promising energy density and strong ***,the interface issues,including large interfacial resistance between electrode and electrolyte and low electrochemical stability of solid-state electrolytes against high-voltage cathodes,have restricted the development of high-voltage ***,we report an ASSLB with stable cycling by adopting a conformal polymer interlayer in-situ formed at the Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZTO)–cathode *** polymer can perfectlyﬁll the voids and create a stable interface contact between LLZTO and *** addition,the electric field across the polymer interlayer is reduced compared with pure solid polymer electrolyte(SPE),which facilitates the electrochemical stability with high-voltage *** all-solid-state Li|LLZTO-SPE|LiFe_(0.4)Mn_(0.6)PO_(4)(LMFP)cells achieve a low interface impedance,high specific capacity,and excellent cycling *** work presents an effective and practical strategy to rationally design the electrode–electrolyte interface for the application of high-voltage ASSLBs.

Failure analysis and control measures of deep roadway with composite roof:a case study

There is great variation in the lithology and lamination thickness of composite roof in coal-measure strata;thus,the roof is prone to delamination and falling,and it is difficult to control the surrounding rock when developing roadway in such rock *** deep mining,the stress environment of surrounding rock is complex,and the mechanical response of the rock mass is different from that of the shallow rock *** composite-roof roadway excavated in deep rock mass,the key to safe and efficient production of the mine is ensuring the stability of the *** present paper obtains typical failure characteristics and deformation and failure mechanisms of composite-roof roadway with a buried depth of 650 m at Zhaozhuang Coal Mine(Shanxi Province,China).On the basis of determining a reasonable cross-section shape of the roadway and according to the failure characteristics of the composite roof in different regions,the roof is divided into an unstable layer,metastable layer,and stable *** controlled unstable layer and metastable layer are regarded as a small structure while the stable layer is regarded as a large structure.A superimposed coupling support technology of large and small structures with a multi-level prestressed bearing arch formed by strong rebar bolts and highly prestressed cable bolts is put *** support technology provides good application results in the *** study thus provides theoretical support and technical guidance for ground control under similar geological conditions.

Effects of high temperature annealing and laser irradiation on activation rate of phosphorus

Thermal annealing and laser irradiation were used to study the activation rate of phosphorus in silicon after ion *** activation rate refers to the ratio of activated impurity number to the total impurity number in the *** injecting phosphorus with the dose and energy(energy=55 keV,dose=3×10^(15) cm^(-2)),the samples were annealed at different temperatures,and laser irradiation experiments were performed after *** experimental results showed that the activation rate of phosphorus was the highest at 850℃,and the highest activation rate was 67%.Upon femtosecond laser irradiation samples after thermal annealing,while keeping the crystalline silicon surface without damage,the activation rate was *** the energy-flux density of the femtosecond laser was 0.65 kJ/cm2,the activation rate was the highest,increasing from 67%to 74.81%.

针对一类冲击-振动耦合力学试验的技术需求,提出了一种短间隔连续冲击及颗粒体自激振动复合的冲击-振动耦合力学试验方法,并研制了试验系统样机。基于EDEM软件和VC++二次开发建立了试验系统自激振动结构的离散元耦合仿真模型,分析了颗粒体自激振动响应的一般规律,在此基础上根据应用需求优化选择自激振动加载方案。基于研制的力学试验系统样机和自激振动方案开展试验研究,通过分析对比连续冲击加载和冲击-振动耦合加载响应加速度时频域信号,验证了选择的颗粒体自激振动加载方案的实际作用效果,该试验系统可满足一些苛刻高动态连续冲击试验和连续冲击-多频振动耦合试验的需求,研究具有较好的科学意义和工程应用价值。
