In this paper, we propose the novel method of complex least squares adjustment （CLSA） to invert vegetation height accurately using single-baseline polarimetric synthetic aperture radar interferometry （PollnSAR） data. CLSA basically estimates both volume-only coherence and ground phase directly without assuming that the ground-to-volume amplitude radio of a particular polarization channel （e.g., HV） is less than -10 dB, as in the three-stage method. In addition, CLSA can effectively limit errors in interferometric complex coherence, which may translate directly into erroneous ground-phase and volume-only coherence estimations. The proposed CLSA method is validated with BioSAR2008 P-band E-SAR and L-band SIR-C PollnSAR data. Its results are then compared with those of the traditional three-stage method and with external data. It implies that the CLSA method is much more robust than the three-stage method.

The transition of hydrogen sourcing from carbon-intensive to water-based methodologies is underway,with renewable energy-powered proton exchange membrane water electrolysis （PEMWE） emerging as the preeminent pathway for hydrogen *** remarkable advancements in this field,confronting the sluggish electrochemical kinetics and inherent high-energy consumption arising from deteriorated mass transport within PEMWE systems remains a formidable *** impediment stems primarily from the hindered protons mass transfer and the untimely hydrogen bubbles *** address these challenges,we harness the inherent variability of electrical energy and introduce an innovative pulsed dynamic water electrolysis *** to constant voltage electrolysis (hydrogen production rate:51.6 m L h-1,energy consumption:5.37 kWh Nm-3H2),this strategy (hydrogen production rate:66 m L h-1,energy consumption:3.83 kWh Nm-3H2) increases the hydrogen production rate by approximately 27%and reduces the energy consumption by about 28%.Furthermore,we demonstrate the practicality of this system by integrating it with an off-grid photovoltaic （PV） system designed for outdoor operation,successfully driving a hydrogen production current of up to 500 mA under an average voltage of approximately 2 *** combined results of in-situ characterization and finite element analysis reveal the performance enhancement mechanism:pulsed dynamic electrolysis （PDE） dramatically accelerates the enrichment of protons at the electrode/solution interface and facilitates the release of bubbles on the electrode *** such,PDE-enhanced PEMWE represents a synergistic advancement,concurrently enhancing both the hydrogen generation reaction and associated transport *** promising technology not only redefines the landscape of electrolysis-based hydrogen production but also holds immense potential for broadening its application across a diverse spectrum of electrocatalytic endeavors.

In this study, the degradation efficiencies of zero-valent iron （ZVI） powders with different structures and components wereevaluated for methyl orange （MO）. The results show that the structure is an essential factor that affects degradation, andadded non-metallic elements help optimize the structure. The amorphous and balled-milled crystalline Fe7oSiloB2o hascomparative degradation efficiencies to MO with tl/2 values of 6.9 and 7.0 min, respectively. Increasing the boron contentcan create a favorable structure and promote degradation. The ball-milled crystalline Fe70B30 and Fe43.64B56.36 powdershave relatively short tl/2 values of 5.2 and 3.3 rain, respectively. The excellent properties are mainly attributed to theirheterogeneous structure with boron-doped active sites in ZVI. Composition segregation in the nanoscale range in anamorphous FeSiB alloy and small boron particles in the microscale range embedded in large iron particles prepared by ball-milling, both constitute effective galvanic cells that promote iron electron loss and therefore decompose organic *** findings may provide a new, highly efficient, low-cost commercial method for azo dye wastewater treatment usingZVI.

TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1)and its homolog IκB kinase(IKK)epsilon(IKKε,also known as IKKi)are serine/threonine kinases that are well known for their functions to mediate type I interferon(IFN-I)induction in antiviral innate immune responses.1 Various microbial components,or pathogen associated molecular patterns(PAMPs),activate TBK1 and IKKεvia stimulating pattern-recognition receptors(PRRs)in innate immune *** activation,TBK1 or IKKε(hereafter called TBK1/IKKε)phosphorylates the transcription factors IRF3 and IRF7 to trigger their dimerization and nuclear translocation,leading to induction of IFN-I gene expression.1,2 In this innate immune signaling pathway,TBK1 and IKKεdisplay functional redundancies,although TBK1 seems to be more crucial than IKKε.3,4 It is increasingly clear that the function of TBK1 and IKKεis beyond the regulation of antiviral innate immunity.

Covalent adaptive networks(CANs)are capable of undergoing segment rearrangement after being heated,which endows the materials with excellent self-healing and reprocessing performance,providing an efficient solution to the environment pollution caused by the plastic *** main challenge remains in developing CANs with both excellent reprocessing performance and creep-resistance *** this study,a series of CANs containing dynamic covalent benzopyrazole-urea bonds were developed based on the addition reaction between benzopyrazole and isocyanate *** calculation confirmed that relatively low dissociation energy is obtained through undergoing a five-member ring transition state,confirming excellent dynamic property of the benzopyrazole-urea *** verified by the FTIR results,this nice dynamic property can be well maintained after incorporating the benzopyrazole-urea bonds into polymer *** self-healing and reprocessing performance is observed by the 3-ABP/PDMS elastomers owing to the dynamic benzopyrazole-urea *** separation induced by the aggregation of the hard segments locked the benzopyrazole-urea bonds,which also makes the elastomers display excellent creep-resistance *** hard phase locking strategy provides an efficient approach to design CANs materials with both excellent reprocessing and creep-resistance performance.

With the applications of high technology,a catastrophic failure of CNC equipment rarely occurs at normal operation *** it is difficult for traditional reliability assessment methods based on time-to-failure distributions to deduce the reliability *** paper presents a novel reliability assessment methodology to estimate the reliability level of equipment with machining performance degradation data when only a few samples are *** least squares support vector machines(LS-SVM) are introduced to analyze the performance degradation process on the equipment.A two-stage parameter optimization and searching method is proposed to improve the LS-SVM regression performance and a reliability assessment model based on the LS-SVM is built.A machining performance degradation experiment has been carried out on an OTM650 machine tool to validate the effectiveness of the proposed reliability assessment methodology.

A Sb-Fe-carbon-fiber （CF） composite was prepared by a chemical vapor deposition （CVD） method with in situ growth of CFs us- ing Sb203/Fe2O3 as the precursor and acetylene （C2H2） as the carbon source. The Sb-Fe-CF composite was characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, field emission scanning electron microscopy （FESEM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, and its electrochemical per- formance was investigated by galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The Sb-Fe-CF composite shows a better cycling stability than the Sb-amorphous-carbon composite prepared by the same CVD method but using Sb2O3 as the precur- sor. Improvements in cycling stability of the Sb-Fe-CF composite can be attributed to the formation of three-dimensional network structure by CFs, which can connect Sb particles firmly. In addition, the CF layer can buffer the volume change effectively.

In order to better build the neutral beam injector with negative ion source (NNBI), the pre-research on key technologies has been carried out for the comprehensive research facility for fusion technology (CRFFT). Cesium seeding into negative-ion sources is a prerequisite to obtain the required negative hydrogen ion. The performance of ion source largely depends on the cesium conditions in the source. It is very necessary to quantitatively measure the amount of cesium in the source during the plasma on and off periods (vacuum stage).
