Micromechanism and mathematical model of stress sensitivity in tight reservoirs of binary granular medium

Research on reservoir rock stress sensitivity has traditionally focused on unary granular structures,neglecting the binary nature of real reservoirs,especially tight *** the stresssensitive behavior and mathematical characterization of binary granular media remains a challenging *** this study,we conducted online-NMR experiments to investigate the permeability and porosity evolution as well as stress-sensitive control mechanisms in tight sandy conglomerate *** results revealed stress sensitivity coefficients between 0.042 and 0.098 and permeability damage rates ranging from 65.6%to 90.9%,with an average pore compression coefficient of 0.0168—0.0208 MPa ***-scale compression occurred in three stages:filling,compression,and compaction,with matrix pores playing a dominant role in pore *** stress sensitivity of binary granular media was found to be influenced by the support structure and particle *** stress sensitivity was associated with small fine particle size,high fines content,high uniformity coefficient of particle size,high plastic deformation,and low Young's ***-supported samples exhibited a high irreversible permeability damage rate(average=74.2%)and stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.089),with pore spaces more *** contrast,grain-supported samples showed low stress sensitivity coefficients(average=0.021)at high stress *** on the experiments,we developed a mathematical model for stress sensitivity in binary granular media,considering binary granular properties and nested interactions using Hertz contact deformation and Poiseuille *** describing the change in activity content of fines under stress,we characterized the non-stationary state of compressive deformation in the binary granular structure and classified the reservoir into three *** model was applied for production prediction using actual data from the Mahu reservoir in China,showing that the e

Combinatorial reasoning-based abnormal sensor recognition method for subsea production control system

The subsea production system is a vital equipment for offshore oil and gas production. The control system is one of the most important parts of it. Collecting and processing the signals of subsea sensors is the only way to judge whether the subsea production control system is normal. However, subsea sensors degrade rapidly due to harsh working environments and long service time. This leads to frequent false alarm incidents. A combinatorial reasoning-based abnormal sensor recognition method for subsea production control system is proposed. A combinatorial algorithm is proposed to group sensors. The long short-term memory network(LSTM) is used to establish a single inference model. A counting-based judging method is proposed to identify abnormal sensors. Field data from an offshore platform in the South China Sea is used to demonstrate the effect of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method can identify the abnormal sensors effectively.

Industrial CO_(2)electroreduction has received tremendous attentions for resolution of the current energy and environmental crisis,but its performance is greatly limited by mass transport at high current *** this work,an ion‐polymer‐modified gas‐diffusion electrode is used to tackle this proton *** is found that gas diffusion electrode‐Nafion shows an impressive performance of 75.2%Faradaic efficiency in multicarbon products at an industrial current density of 1.16 A/cm^(2).Significantly,in‐depth electrochemical characterizations combined with in situ Raman have been used to determine the full workflow of protons,and it is found that HCO_(3)^(−)acts as a proton pool near the reaction environment,and HCO_(3)^(−)and H_(3)O^(+)are local proton donors that interact with the proton shuttle−SO_(3)^(−)from *** rich proton hopping sites that decrease the activation energy,a“Grotthuss”mechanism for proton transport in the above system has been identified rather than the“Vehicle”mechanism with a higher energy ***,this work could be very useful in terms of the achievement of industrial CO_(2)reduction fundamentally and practically.

MET gene alterations in lung cancer patients mainly include exon 14 skipping and gene amplification,which are the key therapeutic targets and drive resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKls).1 However,the structural variants of MET,such as MET fusions,are much rarer(0.26%),as reported in a Chinese non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cohort.2 Several recurrent MET fusions,such as KIF5B-MET and HLADRB1-MET,were reported as oncogenic drivers and showed favorable responses to crizotinib.

Overview of computation strategies on the dispersion analysis for explicit finite difference solution of acoustic wave equation

Finite-difference(FD) method is the most extensively employed numerical modeling technique. Nevertheless, when using the FD method to simulate the seismic wave propagation, the large spatial or temporal sampling interval can lead to dispersion errors and numerical instability. In the FD scheme, the key factor in determining both dispersion errors and stability is the selection of the FD weights. Thus,How to obtain appropriate FD weights to guarantee a stable numerical modeling process with minimum dispersion error is critical. The FD weights computation strategies can be classified into three types based on different computational ideologies, window function strategy, optimization strategy, and Taylor expansion strategy. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of these three strategies by presenting their fundamental theories. We conduct a set of comparative analyses of their strengths and weaknesses through various analysis tests and numerical modelings. According to these comparisons, we provide two potential research directions of this field: Firstly, the development of a computational strategy for FD weights that enhances stability; Secondly, obtaining FD weights that exhibit a wide bandwidth while minimizing dispersion errors.

Research on thermal insulation materials properties under HTHP conditions for deep oil and gas reservoir rock ITP-Coring

Deep oil and gas reservoirs are under high-temperature conditions, but traditional coring methods do not consider temperature-preserved measures and ignore the influence of temperature on rock porosity and permeability, resulting in distorted resource assessments. The development of in situ temperaturepreserved coring(ITP-Coring) technology for deep reservoir rock is urgent, and thermal insulation materials are key. Therefore, hollow glass microsphere/epoxy resin thermal insulation materials(HGM/EP materials) were proposed as thermal insulation materials. The materials properties under coupled hightemperature and high-pressure(HTHP) conditions were tested. The results indicated that high pressures led to HGM destruction and that the materials water absorption significantly increased; additionally,increasing temperature accelerated the process. High temperatures directly caused the thermal conductivity of the materials to increase; additionally, the thermal conduction and convection of water caused by high pressures led to an exponential increase in the thermal conductivity. High temperatures weakened the matrix, and high pressures destroyed the HGM, which resulted in a decrease in the tensile mechanical properties of the materials. The materials entered the high elastic state at 150.C, and the mechanical properties were weakened more obviously, while the pressure led to a significant effect when the water absorption was above 10%. Meanwhile, the tensile strength/strain were 13.62 MPa/1.3%and 6.09 MPa/0.86% at 100.C and 100 MPa, respectively, which meet the application requirements of the self-designed coring device. Finally, K46-f40 and K46-f50 HGM/EP materials were proven to be suitable for ITP-Coring under coupled conditions below 100.C and 100 MPa.
