Evolutionary game dynamics of combining the Moran and imitation processes

One of the assumptions of previous research in evolutionary game dynamics is that individuals use only one rule to update their strategy. In reality, an individual's strategy update rules may change with the environment, and it is possible for an individual to use two or more rules to update their strategy. We consider the case where an individual updates strategies based on the Moran and imitation processes, and establish mixed stochastic evolutionary game dynamics by combining both processes. Our aim is to study how individuals change strategies based on two update rules and how this affects evolutionary game dynamics. We obtain an analytic expression and properties of the fixation probability and fixation times(the unconditional fixation time or conditional average fixation time) associated with our proposed process. We find unexpected results. The fixation probability within the proposed model is independent of the probabilities that the individual adopts the imitation rule update strategy. This implies that the fixation probability within the proposed model is equal to that from the Moran and imitation processes. The one-third rule holds in the proposed mixed model. However, under weak selection, the fixation times are different from those of the Moran and imitation processes because it is connected with the probability that individuals adopt an imitation update rule. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the relationships between fixation times and the probability that an individual adopts the imitation update rule, as well as between fixation times and selection intensity. From the simulated analysis, we find that the fixation time for a mixed process is greater than that of the Moran process, but is less than that of the imitation process. Catalyst–support interaction plays a crucial role in improving the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Here we modulate the catalyst–support interaction in polyaniline-supported Ni_(3)Fe oxide(Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI)with a robust hetero-interface,which significantly improves oxygen evolution activities with an overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and specific activity of 2.08 mA cm_(ECSA)^(-2)at overpotential of 300 mV,3.84-fold that of Ni_(3)Fe *** is revealed that the catalyst–support interaction between Ni_(3)Fe oxide and PANI support enhances the Ni–O covalency via the interfacial Ni–N bond,thus promoting the charge and mass transfer on Ni_(3)Fe *** the excellent activity and stability,rechargeable Zn-air batteries with optimum Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI are assembled,delivering a low charge voltage of 1.95 V to cycle for 400 h at 10 mA cm^(-2).The regulation of the effect of catalyst–support interaction on catalytic activity provides new possibilities for the future design of highly efficient OER catalysts.

Coumarin Based Neutral Sensor for Biologically Important Anions

A coumarin Shiff-base derivative, salicylaldehyde-N-（6-phenylazo-coumarin-3-formyl）-hydrazone（1）, was obtained by simple organic synthesis from cheap and commercially available starting materials. Sensor 1 exhibits a very weak fluorescence emission, however, in the presence of acetate ions ＂turn-on＂ fluorescence is observed, which results from binding-induced conformational restriction of the fluorophore. Importantly, sensor 1 can also be used as colorimetric chemosensor for the anions with strong basicity, which is easily observed from yellow to red by naked eyes. Consequently, compound 1 can behave as a colorimetric and fluorescence sensor for biologically important F-, CH3COO- and H2PO4- in the presence of the other anions tested such as Cl-, Br- and I- in dimethyl sulfoxide（DMSO）.

A zero-sum hybrid stochastic differential game with impulse controls

In this paper, we study a zero-sum stochastic differential game with the following salient features:(i) the system state is dictated by a hybrid diffusion,(ii) both players use impulse controls, and(iii) the game takes place on an infinite time horizon. First, the dynamic programming principle for the problem is ***, the lower and upper value functions of the game are characterized as the unique viscosity solution of the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman-Isaacs(HJBI) equation, which turns out to be a coupled system of variational inequalities with bilateral obstacles. Moreover, a verification theorem as a sufficient condition to identify a Nash equilibrium is established. The Nash equilibrium strategies for the two players, indicating when and how it is optimal to intervene, are given in terms of the obstacle part of the HJBI equation.

Early child development: a challenge in China

Early childhood development has been linked with adult health and *** is a necessary component of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) [1,2],which are conceptualized from a lifespan *** researches in the past two decades have elucidated that the period from conception through early childhood (i.e.,at least the first 3 years) is foundational for brain development [3].Children acquire an orderly progression of skills that form the blueprint for subsequent ***,immunological,physiological,and psychological adaptations to the environment occur during this period,and these adaptations affect development throughout the life course [4].Risks including poverty,stunting,and nutritional deficiencies contribute to inequities in children's development [5],resulting in over 200 million children under 5 years of age in low-and middle-income countries not reaching their developmental potential,leading to an average deficit of 19.8% in adult annual income [3].Quality interventions in the early years of children have long-term beneficial effects with cost efficiency,including reductions in violence [6],depression and social inhibition,improving adult health,competence (e.g.,learning and academic attainment),and subsequently economic productivity [7,8].

The Influence of Ultrasonic Frequency on the Properties of Ni-Co Coatings Prepared by Ultrasound-assisted Electrodeposition

In this paper, Ni-Co coatings were electrodeposited onto carbon steel substrates with the aid of ultrasonic agitation. The coatings were analyzed by energy dispersive X-ray analysis （EDX）, X-ray diffraction analysis （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The effects of the ultrasonic frequency on the roughness, hardness and corrosion resistance of the Ni-Co coatings were also investigated. The results indicated that the increase of the ultrasonic frequency from 20 to 120 kHz reduced the Ni content and the grain size of Ni-Co coatings. Moreover, the phase structure of the electrodeposited coatings was influenced by the ultrasonic frequency. Under 55 kHz ultrasonic agitation, the Ni-Co coating was single fcc phase and showed the finest roughness and the strongest corrosion resistance in 5 wt.% NaCl solution at the ambient temperature. Under ultrasonic agitation with frequency of 90 kHz, the coating was a mixture of fcc and hcp structure and showed the maximal hardness of about 420 HV. Therefore, ultrasonic agitation helped decrease the roughness, and enhance hardness and corrosion resistance of Ni-Co coatings.

Products of methotrexate during chlorination

Methotrexate （MTX） is a cytotoxic drug widely used in the treatment of tumors, autoimmune diseases and severe asthma, jen00883This drug has been frequently detected in the aquatic environment with concentrations up to μg/L levels. The MTX present in environmental water might be transformed and removed during chlorination disinfection treatment. In this work, the fate of MTX during aqueous chlorination was investigated in laboratory batch experiments, and the transformation products of MTX were identified. Aqueous solutions of MTX （1 mg/L） were chlorinated by sodium hypochlorite solution at room temperature under neutral pH conditions. Chlorinated products were pre-concentrated with solid-phase extraction （SPE） cartridges and determined by liquid chromatography electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry （LC-ESI-MS/MS）. The reaction of MTX chlorination exhibited pseudo-first-order kinetics and the half-life time of MTX degradation was calculated to be 1.65 min, when the initial chlorine concentration was 2 mg/L. Two chlorinated MTX congeners, 4-amino-3-chlorinated-N10-methylpteroylglutamic （monochloro-MTX） and 4-amino-3,5-dichloro-N10-methylpteroylglutamic （dichloro-MTX） were found in the chlori- nated solution. Monochloro-MTX was successfully fractionated by high performance liquid chromatography （HPLC） and its structure was further identified using 1H nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR） analysis. The presence of the two products in real hospital wastewater was then examined and both compounds were detected. Finally, the effects of MTX and monochloro-MTX on the cell cycle progression in vitro were evaluated using zebrafish liver cell line. It was found that both compounds could inhibit the proliferation of zebrafish liver cells through S phase arrest and their effects on the cell cycle profile had no significant difference.
