Forward osmosis(FO)as an energy-saving membrane process has attracted much attention in food concentration,water treatment,and *** film composite(TFC)membrane is the most popular FO membrane,but it suffers from the internal concentration polarization(ICP),which significantly limits the water flux and FO *** this report,we demonstrate a novel and high-performing thin film nanocomposite(TFN)membrane that employs a hydrophilic interlayer composed of imogolite nanotubes(INTs)and polydopamine(PDA).The INTs can be adhered to the porous substrate by the self-polymerization of PDA,and the as-prepared PDA/INTs interlayer displays a nanostructured network with outstanding *** detailed investigation was conducted to understand the relationship between the structure and property of the PDA/INTs interlayer and the morphology and performance of the TFN *** TFN membrane with the PDA/INTs interlayer performs a thinner and smoother polyamide selective ***,the TFN membrane shows a water flux of 18.38 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1),which is 2.18 times of the pristine TFC ***,the TFN membrane has a minimized structural parameter(577μm),almost a half of that of the pristine one(949μm).It reveals that the ICP effect of TFC membrane can be effectively alleviated by using a hydrophilic PDA/INTs *** TFN membrane with a satisfactory water permeability is promising in terms of future applications.

The interseismic locking state of tectonic faults is essential for regional seismic hazard ***,it is challenging to obtain this parameter reliably due to the weak deformation and complex model *** better probe the fault locking state,more reliable physical models and well-covered observations are *** we investigate the locking state of the Xianshuihe fault based on a new-developed viscoelastic deformation ***,we combine GPS velocities from 13 new near-field stations and existing stations in this region to improve the spatial *** to the theoretical predictions,our results indicate that the elastic model will clearly overestimate the fault locking depth and seismic moment accumulation rate,and the fault slip rate inferred from the elastic model is slightly lower than that from the viscoelastic *** on the locking distribution inferred from the viscoelastic model,we identify four potential asperities on the Xianshuihe *** importantly,we find a clear spatial correlation between the fault locking distribution and the rupture extent of historical earthquakes,which indicates that the fault locking state may control the rupture extent and thus the magnitude of *** addition,our results show that the 2022 M6.8 Luding earthquake only ruptured the south part of a potential asperity,and the accumulated energy in the northern unruptured area is equivalent to an Mw6.9 earthquake,where the seismic hazard deserves special attention.

Most researches associated with target encircling control are focused on moving along a circular orbit under an ideal environment free from external ***,elliptical encirclement with a time-varying observation radius,may permit a more flexible and high-efficacy enclosing solution,whilst the non-orthogonal property between axial and tangential speed components,non-ignorable environmental perturbations,and strict assignment requirements empower elliptical encircling control to be more challenging,and the relevant investigations are still *** this line,an appointed-time elliptical encircling control rule capable of reinforcing circumnavigation performances is developed to enable Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)to move along a specified elliptical path within a predetermined reaching *** remarkable merits of the designed strategy are that the relative distance controlling error can be guaranteed to evolve within specified regions with a designer-specified convergence ***,wind perturbations can be online counteracted based on an unknown system dynamics estimator(USDE)with only one regulating parameter and high computational *** tool demonstrates that all involved error variables are ultimately limited,and simulations are implemented to confirm the usability of the suggested control algorithm.

Direct regeneration method has been widely concerned by researchers in the field of battery recycling because of its advantages of in situ regeneration,short process and less pollutant *** this review,we firstly analyze the primary causes for the failure of three representative battery cathodes(lithium iron phosphate,layered lithium transition metal oxide and lithium cobalt oxide),targeting at illustrating their underlying regeneration mecha-nism and *** stripping of material from the collector to obtain pure cathode material has become a first challenge in recycling,for which we report several pretreatment methods currently available for subsequent regeneration *** review and discuss emphatically the research progress of five direct regeneration methods,including solid-state sintering,hydrothermal,eutectic molten salt,electrochemical and chemical lithiation ***,the application of direct regeneration technology in production practice is introduced,the problems exposed at the early stage of the industrialization of direct regeneration technol-ogy are revealed,and the prospect of future large-scale commercial production is *** is hoped that this review will give readers a comprehensive and basic understanding of direct regeneration methods for used lithium-ion batteries and promote the industrial application of direct regeneration technology.

We study the local quantum Fisher information(LQFI)in the mixed-spin Heisenberg XXZ *** the maximal and minimal LQFI are studied and the former is essential to determine the accuracy of the quantum parameter estimation,the latter can be well used to characterize the discord-type quantum *** investigate the effects of the temperature and the anisotropy parameter on the maximal LQFI and thus on the accuracy of the parameter *** we make use of the minimal LQFI to study the discord-type correlations of different site *** dimensions of the subsystems cause different values of the minimal LQFI which reflects the asymmetry of the discord-type *** addition,the site pairs at different positions of the spin chains have different minimal LQFI,which reveals the influence of the surrounding spins on the bipartite quantum *** results show that the LQFI obtained through a simple calculation process provides a convenient way to investigate the discord-type correlation in high-dimensional systems.

BACKGROUND Diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)has been developed to stage liver ***,its diagnostic performance is inconsistent among ***,it is worth studying the diagnostic value of various diffusion models for liver fibrosis in one *** To evaluate the clinical potential of six diffusion-weighted models in liver fibrosis staging and compare their diagnostic *** This prospective study enrolled 59 patients suspected of liver disease and scheduled for liver biopsy and 17 healthy *** participants underwent multi-b value *** main DWI-derived parameters included Mono-apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)from mono-exponential DWI,intravoxel incoherent motion model-derived true diffusion coefficient(IVIM-D),diffusion kurtosis imaging-derived apparent diffusivity(DKI-MD),stretched exponential model-derived distributed diffusion coefficient(SEM-DDC),fractional order calculus(FROC)model-derived diffusion coefficient(FROC-D)and FROC model-derived microstructural quantity(FROC-μ),and continuous-time random-walk(CTRW)model-derived anomalous diffusion coefficient(CTRW-D)and CTRW model-derived temporal diffusion heterogeneity index(CTRW-α).The correlations between DWI-derived parameters and fibrosis stages and the parameters’diagnostic efficacy in detecting significant fibrosis(SF)were assessed and *** CTRW-D(r=-0.356),CTRW-α(r=-0.297),DKI-MD(r=-0.297),FROC-D(r=-0.350),FROC-μ(r=-0.321),IVIM-D(r=-0.251),Mono-ADC(r=-0.362),and SEM-DDC(r=-0.263)were significantly correlated with fibrosis *** areas under the ROC curves(AUCs)of the combined index of the six models for distinguishing SF(0.697-0.747)were higher than each of the parameters alone(0.524-0.719).The DWI models’ability to detect SF was *** combined index of CTRW model parameters had the highest AUC(0.747).CONCLUSION The DWI models were similarly valuable in distinguishing SF in patients with liver *** combined index of CTRW paramet

Understanding the habitat shifting pattern is a prerequisite for implementing in situ conservation of migratory *** seals(Phoca largha)inhabiting the Yellow Sea ecoregion(YSE)comprise a small population with independent genes and represent a charismatic flagship species in this ***,this population has declined by 80%since the 1940s,and increased support from the countries around the YSE is urgently needed to address the potential local extinction risk.A time-series niche model and life-history weighted systematic conservation planning were designed on the basis of a satellite beacon tracking survey(2010–2020)of the YSE *** results showed clustering and spreading shifting patterns during the breeding and migratory seasons,*** closed-loop migration route formed in the YSE indicated that this population might be geographically isolated from populations in other breeding areas around the *** conservation priority area(CPA),with an area of 19632 km^(2)(3.58%of the total YSE area),was the most effective response to the potential in situ ***,nearly 80%of the CPA was exposed outside the existing marine protected areas(MPAs).Future establishment of MPAs in China should strategically consider the conservation gap identified herein,and it is recommended for Korea’s closed fishing season to be spatially set in the western Korean Peninsula from May to *** study also exemplified that the lack of temporal information would lead to the dislocation of niche modeling for migratory species represented by spotted *** should be paid to protecting small and migratory populations in marine biodiversity conservation planning.

Heterogeneous interfaces produced by interdomain interactions on a nanoscale performs a crucial role in boosting the properties of an electrocatalyst toward oxygen evolution reaction(OER)***,a series of dual-phase electrodes with intimately connected heterointerfaces are prepared by in situ decomposing solid solution oxide of Ni_(x)Co_(y)Fe_(100-x-y)O,which grew on Ni foam massively via an ultrafast combustion ***,with high-reaction kinetics caused by the reduction treatment at 450℃,the less electronegative Fe and Co are more oxyphilic than Ni,which facilitated their co-exsolution and formation of CoFe_2O_4/NiO oxide with enriched oxygen *** from the nanoporous framework,heterojunction structure,and oxygen defects,the self-supporting electrodes present rapid charge/mass transmission and provide abundant active sites for *** optimized sample(R-SNCF4.5)shows low overpotentials of 226 and 324 mV at 10 and100 mA·cm^(-2),a small Tafel slope(46.7 mV·dec^(-1)),and excellent *** assembled R-SNCF4.5//Pt/C/NF electrolyzer demonstrates continuous electrolysis over 50 h at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),under 1.51 *** functional theory(DFT)calculations verify that the strong electronic modulation plays a critical part in the CoFe_2O_4/NiO hybrid by lowering the energy barriers for the ratedetermining steps,and Fe sites are the most active OER sites.

Operating conditions of film capacitors are complex,and the problem of film insulation failure caused by repetitively pulsed voltage is becoming ever *** of the film under repetitively pulsed voltage cannot be accurately evaluated by the average breakdown electric *** this paper,the effects of pulsed electric field and pulse repetition frequency on the breakdown in biaxially oriented polypropylene(BOPP)films are *** phases of BOPP degradation are proposed based on the voltage amplitude,i.e.,maintenance(M),decline(D),and near-zero(N).Evolution of the BOPP film from degradation to breakdown at different frequencies is ***,transition of discharge mode and elemental composition of the film are *** results show continuous heat generation under repetitive microsecond pulses is the dominant factor for degradation of BOPP *** number of applied pulses and the repetitive stressing time decrease exponentially with increase of *** research can be contributed to the safe and reliable operation of capacitors.
