AIM：To investigate the effects of lentivirus（LV）mediated integrin-linked kinase（ILK）RNA interference（RNAi）on biological behaviors of human lens epithelial cells（LECs）.·METHODS：Human cataract LECs and immortalized human LEC line,human lens epithelial（HLE）B-3 cells were transfected by lentiviral vector expressing ILKspecific short hairpin RNA（sh RNA）and then stimulated by transforming growth factor-β（TGF-β）,the silencing of ILK gene and protein was identified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction（RT-PCR）and Western blot methods;biological behaviors including cell cycle and apoptosis,cell morphology,α-smooth muscle actin（SMA）stress fiber formation and cell migration were examined.·RESULTS：Remarkable decreases of ILK protein expression were detected in LECs carrying lentiviral ILK-sh RNA vector;flow cytometry revealed arresting of cell cycle progression through the G1/S transition and higher apoptosis rate in ILK-RNAi-LV transfected cells.Lessα-SMA stress fiber formation and migration was observed in ILK-RNAi-LV transfected LECs.·CONCLUSION：The present study demonstrated that ILK was an important regulator for LECs proliferation and migration.LV mediated ILK RNAi is an effective way todecrease ILK-regulated cell growth by arresting cell cycle progression and increasing cell apoptosis,as well as,to prevent cell migration by inhibiting TGF-βinducedα-SMA stress fiber formation.Thus,LV mediated ILK RNAi might be useful to prevent posterior capsular opacification.

Noise is a significant part within a millimeter-wave molecular line datacube.Analyzing the noise improves our understanding of noise characteristics,and further contributes to scientific discoveries.We measure the noise level of a single datacube from MWISP and perform statistical analyses.We identified major factors which increase the noise level of a single datacube,including bad channels,edge effects,baseline distortion and line contamination.Cleaning algorithms are applied to remove or reduce these noise components.As a result,we obtained the cleaned datacube in which noise follows a positively skewed normal distribution.We further analyzed the noise structure distribution of a 3 D mosaicked datacube in the range l=40°7 to 43°3 and b=-2°3 to 0°3 and found that noise in the final mosaicked datacube is mainly characterized by noise fluctuation among the cells.

The repair and regeneration of bone defects are highly challenging orthopedic problems.Recently,Mg-based implants have gained popularity due to their unique biodegradation and elastic modulus similar to that of human bone.The aim of our study is to develop a magnesium alloy with a controllable degradation that can closely match bone tissue to help injuries heal in vivo and avoid cytotoxicity caused by a sudden increase in ion concentration.In this study,we prepared and modified Mg-3Zn,Mg-3Zn-1Y,and Mg-2Zn-1Mn by hot extrusion,and used Mg-2.5Y-2.5Nd was as a control.We then investigated the effect of additions of Y and Mn on alloys'properties.Our results show that Mn and Y can improve not only compression strength but also corrosion resistance.The alloy Mg-2Zn-1Mn demonstrated good cytocompatibility in vitro,and for this reason we selected it for implantation in vivo.The degraded Mg-2Zn-1Mn implanted a bone defect area did not cause obvious rejection and inflammatory reaction,and the degradation products left no signs of damage to the heart,liver,kidney,or brain.Furthermore,we find that Mg-2Zn-1Mn can promote an osteoinductive response in vivo and the formation of bone regeneration.

Significant epidemiological research has revealed that exposure to air pollution is substantially associated with numerous detrimental health consequences^([1-3]).The negative health effects of individual air pollutants(e.g.,fine particulate matter:PM_(2.5);nitrogen dioxide:NO_(2);carbon monoxide,CO;or ozone:O_(3))have been widely explored^([4]).However,humans are constantly exposed to multipollutant mixtures in real life,and biological responses to inhaled pollutants are likely to depend on the interplay of pollutant mixtures.Therefore,it is critical and imperative to explore the joint effects of multipollutant mixtures on human beings.

Most researches associated with target encircling control are focused on moving along a circular orbit under an ideal environment free from external disturbances.However,elliptical encirclement with a time-varying observation radius,may permit a more flexible and high-efficacy enclosing solution,whilst the non-orthogonal property between axial and tangential speed components,non-ignorable environmental perturbations,and strict assignment requirements empower elliptical encircling control to be more challenging,and the relevant investigations are still open.Following this line,an appointed-time elliptical encircling control rule capable of reinforcing circumnavigation performances is developed to enable Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)to move along a specified elliptical path within a predetermined reaching time.The remarkable merits of the designed strategy are that the relative distance controlling error can be guaranteed to evolve within specified regions with a designer-specified convergence behavior.Meanwhile,wind perturbations can be online counteracted based on an unknown system dynamics estimator(USDE)with only one regulating parameter and high computational efficiency.Lyapunov tool demonstrates that all involved error variables are ultimately limited,and simulations are implemented to confirm the usability of the suggested control algorithm.

This paper addresses a multicircular circumnavigation control for UAVs with desired angular spacing around a nonstationary target.By defining a coordinated error relative to neighboring angular spacing,under the premise that target information is perfectly accessible by all nodes,a centralized circular enclosing control strategy is derived for multiple UAVs connected by an undirected graph to allow for formation behaviors concerning the moving target.Besides,to avoid the requirement of target’s states being accessible for each UAV,fixed-time distributed observers are introduced to acquire the state estimates in a fixed-time sense,and the upper boundary of settling time can be determined offline irrespective of initial properties,greatly releasing the burdensome communication traffic.Then,with the aid of fixed-time distributed observers,a distributed circular circumnavigation controller is derived to force all UAVs to collaboratively evolve along the preset circles while keeping a desired angular spacing.It is inferred from Lyapunov stability that all errors are demonstrated to be convergent.Simulations are offered to verify the utility of proposed protocol.

This article investigates a multi-circular path-following formation control with reinforced transient profiles for nonholonomic vehicles connected by a digraph.A multi-circular formation controller endowed with the feature of spatial-temporal decoupling is devised for a group of vehicles guided by a virtual leader evolving along an implicit path,which allows for a circumnavigation on multiple circles with an anticipant angular spacing.In addition,notice that it typically imposes a stringent time constraint on time-sensitive enclosing scenarios,hence an improved prescribed performance control(IPPC)using novel tighter behavior boundaries is presented to enhance transient capabilities with an ensured appointed-time convergence free from any overshoots.The significant merits are that coordinated circumnavigation along different circles can be realized via executing geometric and dynamic assignments independently with modified transient profiles.Furthermore,all variables existing in the entire system are analyzed to be convergent.Simulation and experimental results are provided to validate the utility of suggested solution.

Identification of reservoir types in deep carbonates has always been a great challenge due to complex logging responses caused by the heterogeneous scale and distribution of storage spaces. Traditional cross-plot analysis and empirical formula methods for identifying reservoir types using geophysical logging data have high uncertainty and low efficiency, which cannot accurately reflect the nonlinear relationship between reservoir types and logging data. Recently, the kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(KFD), a kernel-based machine learning technique, attracts attention in many fields because of its strong nonlinear processing ability. However, the overall performance of KFD model may be limited as a single kernel function cannot simultaneously extrapolate and interpolate well, especially for highly complex data cases. To address this issue, in this study, a mixed kernel Fisher discriminant analysis(MKFD) model was established and applied to identify reservoir types of the deep Sinian carbonates in central Sichuan Basin, China. The MKFD model was trained and tested with 453 datasets from 7 coring wells, utilizing GR,CAL, DEN, AC, CNL and RT logs as input variables. The particle swarm optimization(PSO) was adopted for hyper-parameter optimization of MKFD model. To evaluate the model performance, prediction results of MKFD were compared with those of basic-kernel based KFD, RF and SVM models. Subsequently, the built MKFD model was applied in a blind well test, and a variable importance analysis was conducted. The comparison and blind test results demonstrated that MKFD outperformed traditional KFD, RF and SVM in the identification of reservoir types, which provided higher accuracy and stronger generalization. The MKFD can therefore be a reliable method for identifying reservoir types of deep carbonates.
