Mirizzi syndrome is a serious complication of gallstone *** is caused by the impacted stones in the gallbladder neck or cystic *** of the features of Mirizzi syndrome is severe inflammation or dense fibrosis at the Calot’s *** our clinical practice,bile duct,branches of right hepatic artery and right portal vein clinging to gallbladder infundibulum are often observed due to gallbladder infundibulum adhered to right hepatic *** intraoperative damage of branches of right hepatic artery occurs more easily than that of bile duct,all of which are hidden pitfalls for *** resonance cholangiopancreatography(MRCP)and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)are the preferable tools for the diagnosis of Mirizzi *** cholecystectomy in Mirizzi syndrome is easy to damage branches of right hepatic artery and bile duct due to gallbladder infundibulum adhered to right hepatic *** cholecystectomy is an easy,safe and definitive approach to Mirizzi *** combined with the application of ERCP,a laparoscopic management of Mirizzi syndrome by well-trained surgeons is feasible and *** objective of this review was to highlight its existing problems:(1)low preoperative diagnostic rate,(2)easy to damage bile duct and branches of right hepatic artery,and(3)high concomitant gallbladder ***,the review aimed to discuss the possible therapeutic strategies:(1)to enhance its preoperative recognition by imaging findings,and(2)to avoid potential pitfalls during surgery.

Poly（N-isopropylacrylamide）-based hydrogel was prepared under microwave irradiation The hydrogel thus prepared, comparing with that prepared by thermal heating method, exhibits faster swelling and shrinking kinetics. The improved responsive properties are due to the more heterogeneous and porous networks formed under microwave irradiation.

To the Editor:Pancreatic tuberculosis refers to tuberculosis of pancreas and peripancreatic lymph nodes due to both conditions having similar clinical manifestations and therapeutic regimens[1,2].It is a rare entity worldwide,which is often shown as mass and treated by the unnecessary surgery due to misdiagnosis as pancreatic malignancy[1,2].

Epidemiological Investigation and Genome Analysis of Duck Circovirus in Southern China

Duck circovirus （DuCV）, a potential immunosuppressive virus, was investigated in Southern China from March 2006 to December 2009 by using a polymerase chain reaction （PCR） based method. In this study, a total of 138 sick or dead duck samples from 18 different farms were examined with an average DuCV infection rate of-35%. It was found that ducks between the ages of 40~60 days were more susceptible to DuCV. There was no evidence showing that the DuCV virus was capable of vertical transmission. Farms with positive PCR results exhibited no regularly apparent clinical abnormalities such as feathering disorders, growth retardation or lower-than-average weight. The complete genomes of 91 strains from Fujian Province and 1 from Zhejiang Province were sequenced and analyzed. The 10 DuCV genomes, comlbared with others genomes downloaded from GenBank, ranged in size from 1988 to 1996 base pairs, with sequence identities ranging from 83.2% to 99.8%. Phylogenetic analysis based on genome sequences demonstrated that DuCVs can be divided into two distinct genetic genotypes, Group I （the Euro-USA lineage） and Group II（the Taiwan lineage）, with approximately 10.0% genetic difference between the two types. Molecular epidemiological data suggest there is no obvious difference among DuCV strains isolated from different geographic locations or different species, including Duck, Muscovy duck, Mule duck, Cheery duck, Mulard duck and Pekin duck.

The real-time monitoring of the weld pool during deposition is important for automatic control in plasma arc additive *** obtain a high deposition accuracy,it is essential to maintain a stable weld pool *** this study,a novel passive visual method is proposed to measure the weld pool *** the proposed method,the image quality was improved by designing a special visual system that employed an endoscope and a *** also includes pixel brightness-based and gradient-based algorithms that can adaptively detect feature points at the boundary when the weld pool geometry *** algorithm can also be applied to materials with different solidification *** was performed to measure the real weld pool length in world coordinates,and outlier rejection was performed to increase the accuracy of the ***,tests were carried out on the intersection component,and the results showed that the proposed method performed well in tracking the changing weld pool length and was applicable to the real-time monitoring of different types of materials.

An M-VCUT level set-based data-driven model of microstructures and optimization of two-scale structures

The optimization of two-scale structures can adapt to the different needs of materials in various regions by reasonably arranging different microstructures at the macro scale,thereby considerably improving structural ***,a multiple variable cutting(M-VCUT)level set-based data-driven model of microstructures is presented,and a method based on this model is proposed for the optimal design of two-scale *** geometry of the microstructure is described using the M-VCUT level set method,and the effective mechanical properties of microstructures are computed by the homogenization ***,a database of microstructures containing their geometric and mechanical parameters is *** two sets of parameters are adopted as input and output datasets,and a mapping relationship between the two datasets is established to build the data-driven model of *** the optimization of two-scale structures,the data-driven model is used for macroscale finite element and sensitivity *** efficiency of the analysis and optimization of two-scale structures is improved because the computational costs of invoking such a data-driven model are much smaller than those of homogenization.

Strain Gradient Finite Element Formulation of Flexoelectricity in Ferroelectric Material Based on Phase-Field Method

Flexoelectricity is a two-way coupling effect between the strain gradient and electric field that exists in all dielectrics,regardless of point group ***,the high-order derivatives of displacements involved in the strain gradient pose challenges in solving electromechanical coupling problems incorporating the flexoelectric *** this study,we formulate a phase-field model for ferroelectric materials considering the flexoelectric effect.A four-node quadrilateral element with 20 degrees of freedom is constructed without introducing high-order shape *** microstructure evolution of domains is described by an independent order parameter,namely the spontaneous polarization governed by the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau *** model is developed based on a thermodynamic framework,in which a set of microforces is introduced to construct the constitutive relation and evolution *** the flexoelectric part of electric enthalpy,the strain gradient is determined by interpolating the mechanical strain at the node via the values of Gaussian integration points in the isoparametric *** model is shown to be capable of reproducing the classic analytical solution of dielectric materials incorporating the flexoelectric *** model is verified by duplicating some typical phenomena in flexoelectricity in cylindrical tubes and truncated pyramids.A comparison is made between the polarization distribution in dielectrics and *** model can reproduce the solution to the boundary value problem of the cylindrical flexoelectric tube,and demonstrate domain twisting at domain walls in ferroelectrics considering the flexoelectric effect.

AIM: To further investigate the role of human B7 homolog 1 (B7-H1) in the mechanism of persistent hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. METHODS: Peripheral and intra-hepatic B7-H1 expression were compared by flow cytometry and immunochemical staining between two 2 distinct groups, one being chronic HBV tolerance patients (CHB-T) and the other being acute hepatitis B patients (AHB). B7-H1 mRNA expression level was also compared by real time polymerase chain reaction between CHB-T and AHB patients. The location of intra-hepatic B7-H1 and CD40 expression were analyzed by immunofluorescence. The levels of B7-H1 and CD40 expression on cultured myeloid dendritic cells (mDCs) with or without hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) treatment were analyzed dynamically by flow cytometry. Intracellular interferon-γ (IFN-γ) staining and the stimulatory capacity of mDC of cultured mDC with or without HBsAg treatment were also compared by flow cytometry. RESULTS: Peripheral B7-H1 expression on mDCs was increased significantly in AHB compared to CHB-T patients (P < 0.05). In the liver tissues from CHB-T patients, B7-H1 positive cells were almost absent despite a persistently elevated serum HBsAg load. In contrast, there were indeed increased B7-H1-positive cells in situ in the liver tissue from AHB. In vitro analysis showed the parallel upregulation of B7-H1 and CD40 on CD11c+ mDCs after the onset of stimulation. Addition of recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen (rHBsAg) significantly decreased CD40 expression (P < 0.05 at 16 h, 20 h and 24 h time points). B7-H1 expression was also inhibited by rHBsAg, and the inhibition rate of CD40 was greater than that of B7-H1. This preferential inhibition of CD40 expression on mDCs by rHBsAg resulted in the dysfunction of mDCs and T cells in the mixed leucocyte reaction (MLR) system.
