A functional gel polymer electrolyte based on pVDF-HFp/gelatin toward dendrite-free lithium metal batteries

The leakage of liquid electrolyte and the formation of lithium dendrites pose challenges to safety and stability of lithium metal batteries(LMBs).The appearance of gel polymer electrolyte(GpE)has obviously improved the safety of traditional ***,the limited inhibition of GpE on lithium dendrites is detrimental to the safety of ***,a kind of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(pVDF-HFp)/gelatin(GN)GpE with high ionic conductivity,high-temperature resistance,and flame-retardancy,was prepared by electrospinning and soaking *** the electrospinning network of pVDF-HFp,its affinity to liquid electrolytes,makes this GpE more beneficial to ions transport and the formation of ***,the GN with sol–gel properties,enhances the mechanical property(13.5 Mpa)of HFp-GN ***,X-ray photoelectron spectrosc.p.(XpS)and density functional theory(DFT)suggest that the attraction of polar groups of GN to Li+can regulate the distribution of Li+and protect Li ***,the application of HFp-GN GpEs to LMBs with cathodes of LiFepO_(4) and LicoO_(2) deliver excellent electrochemical performances:after 300 cycles,the LiFepO_(4)/HFp-GN GpE/Li battery keeps a low c.p.city decay rate of 0.09%at 5 c;after 400 cycles at 2 c,the LicoO_(2)/HFp-GN GpE/Li cell retains a high c.p.city retention of 74%.This GpE is demonstrated for the application prospect of safe LMBs.

Increasing the accuracy of the nucleotide sequence alignment is an essential issue in genomics *** classic dynamic.p.ogramming(Dp)algorithms(e.g.,Smith–Waterman and Needleman–Wunsch)guarantee to produce the optimal result,their time complexity hinders the application of large-scale sequence *** optimization efforts that aim to accelerate the alignment process generally come from three perspectives:redesigning data structures[e.g.,diagonal or striped Single Instruction Multiple Data(SIMD)implementations],increasing the number of parallelisms in SIMD operations(e.g.,difference recurrence relation),or reducing search space(e.g.,banded Dp).However,no methods combine all these three aspects to build an ultra-fast *** this study,we developed a Banded Striped Aligner(BSAlign)library that delivers accurate alignment results at an ultra-fast speed by knitting a series of novel methods together to take advantage of all of the aforementioned three perspectives with highlights such as active F-loop in striped vectorization and striped move in banded *** applied our new acceleration design on both regular and edit distance pairwise *** achieved 2-fold speed-up than other SIMD-based implementations for regular pairwise alignment,and 1.5-fold to 4-fold speed-up in edit distance-based implementations for long *** is implemented in c.p.ograming language and is available at https://***/ruanjue/bsalign.

Blockchain technology,with its attributes of decentralization,immutability,and traceability,has emerged as a powerful catalyst for enhancing traditional industries in terms of optimizing business ***,transaction performance and scalability has become the main challenges hindering the widespread adoption of *** to its inability to meet the demands of high-frequency trading,blockchain cannot be adopted in many *** improve the transaction c.p.city,researchers have proposed some on-chain scaling technologies,including lightning networks,directed acyclic graph technology,state channels,and shardingmechanisms,inwhich sharding emerges as a potential scaling ***,excessive cross-shard transactions and uneven shard workloads prevent the sharding mechanism from achieving the expected *** paper proposes a graphbased sharding scheme for public blockchain to efficiently balance the transaction *** crossshard transactions and evening-out workloads among shards,the scheme reduces transaction confirmation latency and enhances the transaction c.p.city of the ***,the scheme can achieve a high-frequency transaction as well as a better blockchain *** results show that the scheme effectively reduces the cross-shard transaction ratio to a range of 35%-56%and significantly decreases the transaction confirmation latency to 6 s in a blockchain with no more than 25 shards.

Transition metal-catalyzed olefination of aryl c-H bond is a powerful tool for the synthesis of alkenes. While the pd-catalyzed oxidative c-H olefination of arenes, also known as Fujiwara-Moritani reaction, has been established as one of the most efficient methods, the substrates are largely limited to terminal olefins with electron-withdrawing group(s). Herein, we report a synergistic silver-mediated and palladium-catalyzed non-directed c-H olefination of arenes with vinyl(pseudo)halides, which offers a complementary strategy to the typical Fujiwara-Moritani reaction. The reactions proceeded well for a variety of halogenated arenes, heteroarenes, and olefin substrates, providing an efficient access to various multi-substituted aryl olefins, including trisubstituted/tetrasubstituted olefins and several complex olefins derived from medicines or natural products. Mechanistic studies indicated a bimetallic.p./Ag cooperation is operative in the catalysis, i.e., the reaction is initiated by aryl c-H bond cleavage via ligation with phosphine/Ag species, followed by transferring of the aryl moiety to a vinyl palladium intermediate,which is in turn formed by oxidative addition of vinyl(pseudo)halide to a pd complex. This method enables the synthesis of a wide range of challenging multi-substituted vinyl products from simple arenes(directing-group free) in a streamlined and controllable fashion.

By virtue of the atom-and step-economy, utilization of simple arenes as a supplant of pre-prepared aryl metal species or aryl halides for the synthesis of arylated chiral molecules has attracted great attention from the synthetic community. While transition-metal-catalyzed enantioselective diarylation of tethered alkenes has been employed to prepare important chiral cyclic compounds, the direct use of simple arenes as aryl precursors is still underdeveloped, probably due to the difficulties in the effective control of the reactivity, site-selectivity and/or enantioselectivity. Herein we report an asymmetric.p./Ag dual metal catalytic system for the non-directed, site-and enantioselective domino Heck/intermolecular c–H functionalization of *** studies showed that pd and Ag act in cooperation in the catalysis and the chiral bisphosphine ligand plays a bifunctional role, i.e., assisting the silver species in the cleavage of the aryl c–H bond, while inducing the enantioselectivity on direct complexation with palladium. This method provides an efficient approach to the corresponding chiral oxindoles with good enantiomeric excesses from a broad sc.p. of arenes, including fluoroarenes, heteroarenes and several complex products derived from medicines or natural products.
