With the acceleration of supply-side renewable energy penetration rate and the increasingly diversified and complex demand-side loads,how to maintain the stable,reliable,and efficient operation of the power system has become a challenging issue requiring *** of the feasible solutions is deploying the energy storage system(ESS)to integrate with the energy system to stabilize ***,considering the costs and the input/output characteristics of ESS,both theinitial configuration process and the actual operation process require efficient *** study presents a comprehensive reviewof managing ESs from the perspectives of planning,operation,and business *** of all,in terms of planning and configuration,it is investigated from capacity planning,location planning,as well as capacity and location combined *** process is generally the first step in deploying ***,it explores operation management of ESS from the perspectives of state assessment and operation *** so-called state assessment refers to the assessment of three aspects:The state of charge(SOC),the state of health(SOH),and the remaining useful life(RUL).The operation optimization includes ESS operation strategy optimization and joint operation ***,it discusses the business models of *** business models involve ancillary services and load transfer,while emerging business models include electric vehicle(EV)as energy storage and shared energy storage.

In contemporary power grids or microgrids,harmonic distortion has emerged as one of the critical power quality issues for utility power grids,which has escalated especially due to the high penetration of power-electronic-converter-interfaced distributed generation(DG).This paper first illustrates the prevalent dispute revolving around the harmonic power sharing and distortion restraint,and subsequently proposes a consensusbased framework that facilitates an accurate sharing of harmonics among multi-DGs connected in parallel,with an effective suppression of the output voltage *** with the majority of existing studies addressing the issue of voltage harmonics at the point of common coupling(PCC),our method primarily emphasizes on the output voltage distortion since the power quality requirement for certain local critical loads is often known to be *** the help of adaptive regulation,the overall distortion produced at the output terminals of DGs can be retained within an acceptable *** working principle of the proposed control method,which is not only easy to implement but also independent of model parameters,is further described in *** the small-signal dynamic model,the system stability and robustness are *** hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)simulations aid in determining the outcome of the proposed strategy in microgrid control.

A class of nonidentical parallel machine scheduling problems are considered in which the goal is to minimize the total weighted completion time. Models and relaxations are collected. Most of these problems are NP-hard, in the strong sense, or open problems, therefore approximation algorithms are studied. The review reveals that there exist some potential areas worthy of further research.

This paper considers the uniform parallel machine scheduling problem with unequal release dates and delivery times to minimize the maximum completion *** this NP-hard problem,the largest sum of release date,processing time and delivery time first rule is designed to determine a certain machine for each job,and the largest difference between delivery time and release date first rule is designed to sequence the jobs scheduled on the same machine,and then a novel algorithm for the scheduling problem is *** evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm,a lower bound for the problem is *** accuracy of the proposed algorithm is tested based on the data with problem size varying from 200 jobs to 600 *** computational results indicate that the average relative error between the proposed algorithm and the lower bound is only 0.667%,therefore the solutions obtained by the proposed algorithm are very accurate.

This paper introduces a Gray map from（Fp + uFp）n to Fp2n,and describes the relationship between codes over Fp + vFp and their Gray *** authors prove that every cyclic code of arbitrary length n over Fp + vFp is principal,and determine its generator polynomial as well as the number of cyclic ***,the authors obtain many best-known p-ary quasic-cyclic codes in terms of their parameters via the Gray map.

Fuzzy c-means(FCM) algorithm is an important clustering method in pattern recognition, while the fuzziness parameter, m, in FCM algorithm is a key parameter that can significantly affect the result of clustering. Cluster validity index(CVI) is a kind of criterion function to validate the clustering results, thereby determining the optimal cluster number of a data set. From the perspective of cluster validation, we propose a novel method to select the optimal value of m in FCM, and four well-known CVIs, namely XB, VK, VT, and SC, for fuzzy clustering are used. In this method, the optimal value of m is determined when CVIs reach their minimum values. Experimental results on four synthetic data sets and four real data sets have demonstrated that the range of m is [2, 3.5] and the optimal interval is [2.5, 3].

Electricity demand forecasting plays an important role in smart grid expansion *** this paper,we present a dynamic GM(1,1) model based on grey system theory and cubic spline function interpolation *** piecewise polynomial interpolation thought,this model can dynamically predict the general trend of time series *** with low-order polynomial,the cubic spline interpolation has smaller error,avoids the Runge phenomenon of high-order polynomial,and has better approximation ***,prediction is implemented with the newest information according to the rolling and feedback mechanism and fluctuating error is controlled well to improve prediction accuracy in time-varying *** study using the living electricity consumption data of Jiangsu province in 2008 is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Emerging information technologies’ integration into various fields has enhanced the development of these fields. Large volumes of data have been accumulated in this process. The accumulated data offer opportunities and challenges for people facing practical problems. On the one hand, it is essential to depend on a group’s capabilities rather than an individual’s capabilities to handle practical problems because the individual may lack sufficient expertise and experience to use data. In this situation, the practical problems can be considered as group decision making(GDM) problems. On the other hand, the accumulated data can help generate quality solutions to GDM problems. To obtain such solutions under the assumption that the accumulated data regarding a specific decision problem are available, this paper proposes a data-driven GDM method. In the method, decision makers’ weights are learned from historical overall assessments and the corresponding gold standards, while criterion weights are learned from historical overall assessments and the corresponding decision matrices. The learned expert weights and criterion weights are used to produce the aggregated assessments, from which alternatives are compared or the overall conclusion is made. In a tertiary hospital located in Hefei, Anhui Province, China, the proposed method is applied to aid radiologists in diagnosing thyroid nodules.

This paper addresses a dynamic lot sizing problem with bounded inventory and stockout where both no backlogging and backlogging allowed cases are considered. The stockout option means that there is outsourcing in a period only when the inventory level at that period is non-positive. The production capacity is unlimited and production cost functions are linear but with fixed charges. The problem is that of satisfying all demands in the planning horizon at minimal total cost. We show that the no backlogging case can be solved in O（T^2） time with general concave inventory holding and outsourcing cost functions where T is the length of the planning horizon. The complexity can be reduced to O（T） when the inventory holding cost functions are also linear and have some realistic properties, even if the outsourcing cost functions remain general concave functions. When the inventory holding and outsourcing cost functions are linear, the backlogging case can be solved in O（ T^3 logT） time whether the outsourcing level at each period is bounded by the sum of the demand of that period and backlogging level from previous periods, or only by the demand of that period.
