Safe and efficient capturing of volatile radioiodine is of extremely important significance in the treatment of spent ***,the flake channels in gelatin-hydroxyapatite（HAP@Ge） cryogel with excellent flame retardant properties were constructed by immobilizing hydroxyapatite nanorods（HAP） on Gelatin（Ge） cryogel for enhancing the capturing of *** immobilization of HAP nanorods enhanced thermal stability,provided low rates of dynamic heat transfer and dissipation,and remarkably improved the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of the Ge cryogel,which can effectively prevent the occurrence of safety incidents caused by further thermal degradation or combustion of this *** importantly,it was effective in improving the rapid enrichment of iodine,resulting in a high adsorption *** maximum adsorption capacity of HAP@Ge cryogel for iodine vapor reached2693 mg/g at *** high adsorption capacity for iodine was attributed to the multi-scale porous structure in HAP@Ge cryogel,which offered effective channels for iodine diffusion,whereas the numerous complex and irregular flakes provided sufficient number of active sites for iodine *** adsorption process was chemical in nature and involved the-PO43-,-OH,-C=O,and-NHR groups on HAP@Ge ***,the complex porous structure of HAP@Ge cryogel enhanced the physical capturing of *** advantages,such as low-cost raw material,simple preparation method,good flame retardancy,and excellent capturing performance for iodine indicated that HAP@Ge cryogel is a potential candidate for the removal of radioactive iodine in the exhaust gas stream of post-treatment plants.

ERβ-activated LINC01018 promotes endometriosis development by regulating the CDC25C/CDK1/CyclinB1 pathway

Endometriosis refers to as an estrogen-dependent *** receptorβ(ERB),the main estrogen receptor subtype which is encoded by the estrogen receptor 2(ESR2)gene,can mediate the action of estrogen in *** selective estrogen receptor modulators can target the ERβ,they are not specific due to the wide distribution of ERβ.Recently,long noncoding RNAs have been implicated in ***,we aim to explore and validate the downstream regulatory mechanism of ERβ,and to investigate the potential role of long intergenic noncoding RNA 1018(LINC01018)as a nonhormonal treatment for *** study demonstrates that the expression levels of ESR2 and LINCo1018 are increased in ectopic endometrial tissues and reveals a significant positive correlation between the ESR2 and LINCo1018 ***,ERβdirectly binds to an estrogen response element located in the LINCO1018 promoter region and activates LINC01018 ***,ERβcan regulate the CDC25C/CDK1/CyclinB1 pathway and promote ectopic endometrial stromal cell proliferation via LINC01018 in *** with these findings,the knockdown of LINC01018 inhibits endometriotic lesion proliferation in *** summary,our study demonstrates that the ERβ/LINC01018/CDC25C/CDK1/CyclinB1 signaling axis regulates endometriosis progression.

Enhanced Crystallization of Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)by a Self-assembly Nucleating Agent

Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)is a promising biodegradable flexible polymer but suffers from slow crystallization rate,making it less attractive for some applications like the injection-molded products in comparison with low-density polyethylene(LDPE).This work aimed to accelerate the crystallization of PBAT by adding a self-assembly nucleating agent octamethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide(OMBH).PBAT/OMBH composites with various OMBH contents(0 wt%,0.5 wt%,0.7 wt%,1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%and 5 wt%)were prepared through *** effect of OMBH on the crystallization behavior,morphologies and mechanical properties of PBAT was *** highest nucleation efficiency value of 59.6%was achieved for PBAT with 0.7 wt%OMBH,much higher than that of 22.7%for PBAT with 0.7 wt%*** force microscopy results showed that OMBH formed fine fibers and induced the formation of transcrystalline layers of *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)combined with two-dimensional correlation spectra suggested that the intermolecular dipole-dipole N—H…O=C interactions but not hydrogen bond between OMBH and PBAT promoted the crystallization of PBAT in the initial period of *** presence of OMBH did not change the crystal form of PBAT but had positive contribution in enhancing its crystallinity and mechanical *** work is essential for preparing PBAT with high crystallization rate,enhancing its potential applications in injection-molded products.

For a polymer/polymer dismissible blend with two crystallizable components,the crystallization behavior of different components and the reciprocal influences between different crystals are interesting and important,but did not investigate in *** this study,the L-poly(lactic acid)/polypropylene(PLLA/PP)blends with different weight ratios were prepared by melt mixing and the crystallization behavior of the blends were *** showed that the crystalline structures of PLLA and PP were not altered by the *** the crystallization of PLLA,both the diffusion of chain segments and crystallization rate were enhanced under the existence of PP *** the crystallization of PP,its crystallization rate was depressed under the existence of amorphous PLLA molecular *** the PP crystallized from the existence of PLLA crystals,although the diffusion rate of PP was reduced by PLLA crystals,the nucleation positions were obviously enhanced,which accelerated the formation of PP *** investigation would supply more basic data for the application of PLLA/PP blend.

Alterations in Serum Lipids and Lipoproteins Induced by Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Patients with Osteosarcoma around the Knee Joint:A Retrospective Analysis

Objective To investigate the serum lipid profiles of patients with localized osteosarcoma around the knee joint before and after neoadjuvant *** After retrospectively screening the data of 742 patients between January 2007 and July 2020,50 patients aged 13 to 39 years with Enneking stage II disease were included in the *** lipid levels,including total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),lipoprotein-α[Lp(a)],and apolipoprotein A1,B,and E(ApoA1,ApoB,and ApoE),and clinicopathological characteristics were collected before and after neoadjuvant *** The mean levels of TC,TG,and ApoB were significantly increased following neoadjuvant chemotherapy(16%,38%,and 20%,respectively,*** values;P<0.01).The mean levels of LDL-C and ApoE were also 19%and 16%higher,respectively(P<0.05).No correlation was found between the pretreatment lipid profile and the histologic response to *** increase in Lp(a)was strongly correlated with the Ki-67 index(R=0.31,P=0.023).Moreover,a trend toward longer disease-free survival(DFS)was observed in patients with decreased TG and increased LDL-C following chemotherapy,although this difference was not statistically significant(P=0.23 and P=0.24,respectively).Conclusion Significant elevations in serum lipids were observed after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with localized *** was no prognostic significance of pretreatment serum lipid levels on histologic response to neoadjuvant *** scale of increase in serum Lp(a)might have a potential prognostic role in *** with increased LDL-C or reduced TG after chemotherapy seem to exhibit a trend toward favorable DFS.

Optimizing magnetoelastic properties by machine learning and high-throughput micromagnetic simulation

Magnetoelastic couplings in giant magnetostrictive materials(GMMs)attract significant interests due to their extensive applications in the fields of spintronics and energy harvesting *** the role of the selection of materials and the response to external fields is essential for attaining desired functionality of a ***,machine learning(ML)models are conducted to predict saturation magnetostrictions(λ_(s))in RFe_(2)-type(R=rare earth)GMMs with different *** to ML-predicted composition–λsrelations,it is discovered that the values ofλshigher than1100×10^(-6)are almost situated in the composition space surrounded by 0.26≤x≤0.60 and 1.90≤y≤2.00 for the ternary compounds of Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)Fe_(y).Assisted by ML predictions,the compositions are further narrowed down to the space surrounded by 0.26≤x≤0.32 and 1.92≤y≤1.97 for the excellent piezomagnetic(PM)performance in the Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)Fe_(y)based PM device through our developed high-throughput(HTP)micromagnetic simulation(MMS)***,high sensitivities up to10.22-13.61 m T·MPa^(-1)are observed in the optimized range within which the available experimental data fall *** work not only provides valuable insights toward understanding the mechanism of magnetoelastic couplings,but also paves the way for designing and optimizing highperformance magnetostrictive materials and PM sensing devices.

Microstructure,elastic/mechanical and thermal properties of CrTaO_(4):A new thermal barrier material?

CrTaO_(4)(or Cr_(0.5)Ta_(0.5)O_(2))has been unexpectedly found to play a decisive role in improving the oxidation resistance of Cr and Ta-containing refractory high-entropy alloys(RHEAs).This rarely encountered complex oxide can effectively prevent the outward diffusion of metal cations from the ***,the oxidation kinetics of CrTaO_(4)-forming RHEAs is comparable to that of the well-known oxidation resistant Cr_(2)O_(3)-and Al_(2)O_(3)-forming Ni-based ***,CrTaO_(4)has been ignored and its mechanical and thermal properties have yet to be *** fill this research gap and explore the untapped potential for its applications,here we report for the first time the microstructure,mechanical and thermal properties of CrTaO_(4)prepared by hot-press sintering of solid-state reaction synthesized *** the HAADF and ABF-STEM techniques,rutile crystal structure was confirmed and short range ordering was directly *** addition,segregation of Ta and Cr was ***,CrTaO_(4)exhibits elastic/mechanical properties similar to those of yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ)with Young’s modulus,shear modulus,and bulk modulus of 268,107,and 181 GPa,respectively,and Vickers hardness,flexural strength,and fracture toughness of 12.2±0.44 GPa,142±14 MPa,and 1.87±0.074 MPa·m^(1/2).The analogous elastic/mechanical properties of CrTaO_(4)to those of YSZ has spurred inquiries to lucrative leverage it as a new thermal barrier *** measured melting point of CrTaO_(4)is 2103±20 *** anisotropic thermal expansion coefficients areα_(a)=(5.68±0.10)×10^(-6)K^(-1),α_(c)=(7.81±0.11)×10^(-6)K^(-1),with an average thermal expansion coefficient of(6.39±0.11)×10^(-6)K^(-1).The room temperature thermal conductivity of CrTaO_(4)is 1.31 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)and declines to 0.66 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)at 1473 K,which are lower than most of the currently well-known thermal barrier *** the perspective of matched thermal expansion coefficient,CrTaO_(4)per

Efficient generation of spin polarization is very important for spintronics and quantum computation. In chiral materials without magnetic order nor spin-orbit coupling, we find a new spin selectivity effect—chiral phonon activated spin Seebeck(CPASS)effect. Starting with the nonequilibrium distribution of chiral phonons under a temperature gradient, the CPASS coefficients are computed based on the Boltzmann transport theory. With both the phonon-drag and band transport contributions, the spin accumulations generated by the CPASS effect exhibit quadratic dependence on the temperature gradient. The strength of the CPASS effect and the relative magnitude of both contributions are tunable by the chemical potential modulation. The CPASS effect, which gives a promising explanation on the traditional chiral-induced spin selectivity effect, provides opportunities for the exploration of advanced spintronic devices based on chiral materials even in the absence of any magnetic order and spin-orbit coupling.

Confinement of Fe atoms between MoS_(2) interlayers drives phase transition for improved reactivity in Fenton-like reactions

Phase manipulation of MoS_(2) from thermodynamically stable 2H phase to the unstable but more reactive 1T phase represents a crucial strategy for improving the reactivity in many *** widely adopted wet chemistry approach uses intercalating entities especially alkali metal ions to achieve the phase transition;however,these entities are normally inert for the target ***,we describe the first use of iron atoms for the intercalation of 2H-MoS_(2) layers,driving the partial transition from 2H to 1T ***,in the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)-based Fenton-like reactions,the interlayered confinement of Fe atoms not only activates the inert basal plane,but also adds more reactive Fe sites for the formation of metal-PMS complex as primary reactive species for pollutant *** the degradation of a model pollutant carbamazepine(CBZ),the Fe-intercalated MoS_(2) exhibits a first order rate constant 13.3 times higher than 2H-MoS_(2).This strategy is a new direction for manipulating the phase composition and boosting the catalytic reactivity of MoS_(2)-based catalysts in various scenarios,including environmental remediation and energy applications.
