The coupled soliton excitations in an alternating Heisenberg ferromagnetic chain with a small magnon band gap are considered. Based on a quasi-discrete multiple scale approach, a set of coupled mode equations is derived which describes the dynamics of strongly coupled acoustic upper cut-off and optical lower cut-off modes. Coupled magnetic band gap soliton solutions are explicitly provided and their frequency properties are discussed.

Wave-induced liquefaction of the seabed is a geohazard frequently encountered in shallow *** widely discussed,most studies paid attention to the seabed response under a single sequence of wave ***,the seabed suffers from repeated‘wave loading–dissipation’phases in a real ocean *** this study,a homogeneous sandy seabed model is established to investigate the mechanism of wave-induced liquefaction by considering the existence of *** element analyses are conducted by incorporating a kinematic hardening elastoplastic model into the commercial package *** constitutive model is validated against centrifugal wave *** studies are conducted to demonstrate the effects of relative densities,current,and wave-loading history on the seabed *** predicted excess pore pressure,effective stress paths,and associated variation of relative density are discussed in *** results show that the densification of soils significantly enhances the resistance against liquefaction,which provides new insight into the mechanism of residual liquefaction during wave sequences.

As the demands of massive connections and vast coverage rapidly grow in the next wireless communication networks, rate splitting multiple access(RSMA) is considered to be the new promising access scheme since it can provide higher efficiency with limited spectrum resources. In this paper, combining spectrum splitting with rate splitting, we propose to allocate resources with traffic offloading in hybrid satellite terrestrial networks. A novel deep reinforcement learning method is adopted to solve this challenging non-convex problem. However, the neverending learning process could prohibit its practical implementation. Therefore, we introduce the switch mechanism to avoid unnecessary learning. Additionally, the QoS constraint in the scheme can rule out unsuccessful transmission. The simulation results validates the energy efficiency performance and the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm.

Rate splitting multiple access(RSMA)has shown great potentials for the next generation communication *** this work,we consider a two-user system in hybrid satellite terrestrial network(HSTN)where one of them is heavily shadowed and the other uses cooperative RSMA to improve the transmission *** non-convex weighted sum rate(WSR)problem formulated based on this model is usually optimized by computational burdened weighted minimum mean square error(WMMSE)*** propose to apply deep unfolding to solve the optimization problem,which maps WMMSE iterations into a layer-wise network and could achieve better performance within limited *** also incorporate momentum accelerated projection gradient descent(PGD)algorithm to circumvent the complicated operations in WMMSE that are not amenable for unfolding and *** momentum and step size in deep unfolding network are selected as trainable parameters for *** shown in the simulation results,deep unfolding scheme has WSR and convergence speed advantages over original WMMSE algorithm.

Wide Diameter for Two Families of Interconnection Networks

Wide diameter is an important parameter for measuring the reliability and efficiency of interconnection networks. Diameter with width k of a graph G, k-diameter, is defined as the minimum integer d for which there exist at least k intemally disjoint paths of length at most d between any two distinct vertices in G. In this paper, we will discuss the wide diameter of two families of interconnection networks and present the bounds of r-1 wide diameter of G（G0,G1,...,Gr-1,L）, where L=Ui=1^r-1 Mi.j＋1, Mi.i.1 is an arbitrary perfect matching between V（Gi） and V（Gi＋1）, and G（G0,G1,F） , where F= {（uivi）[1 ≤ i ≤ n}U {（uivi＋1）｜1≤ i ≤ n}, ui ∈ V（G0）, vi ∈ V（G1）. And they are used in practical applications, especially in the distributed and parallel computer networks.

The globus pallidus plays a pivotal role in the basal ganglia circuit. Parkinson's disease is characterized by degeneration of dopamine-producing cells in the substantia nigra, which leads to dopamine deficiency in the brain that subsequently manifests as various motor and non-motor symptoms. This review aims to summarize the involvement of the globus pallidus in both motor and non-motor manifestations of Parkinson's disease. The firing activities of parvalbumin neurons in the medial globus pallidus, including both the firing rate and pattern, exhibit strong correlations with the bradykinesia and rigidity associated with Parkinson's disease. Increased beta oscillations, which are highly correlated with bradykinesia and rigidity, are regulated by the lateral globus pallidus. Furthermore,bradykinesia and rigidity are strongly linked to the loss of dopaminergic projections within the cortical-basal ganglia-thalamocortical loop. Resting tremors are attributed to the transmission of pathological signals from the basal ganglia through the motor cortex to the cerebellum-ventral intermediate nucleus circuit. The cortico–striato–pallidal loop is responsible for mediating pallidi-associated sleep disorders. Medication and deep brain stimulation are the primary therapeutic strategies addressing the globus pallidus in Parkinson's disease. Medication is the primary treatment for motor symptoms in the early stages of Parkinson's disease, while deep brain stimulation has been clinically proven to be effective in alleviating symptoms in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease,particularly for the movement disorders caused by levodopa. Deep brain stimulation targeting the globus pallidus internus can improve motor function in patients with tremordominant and non-tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease, while deep brain stimulation targeting the globus pallidus externus can alter the temporal pattern of neural activity throughout the basal ganglia–thalamus network. Ordinal distribution regression for gait-based age estimation

Computer vision researchers prefer to estimate age from face images because facial features provide useful information. However, estimating age from face images becomes challenging when people are distant from the camera or occluded. A person’s gait is a unique biometric feature that can be perceived efficiently even at a distance. Thus, gait can be used to predict age when face images are not ***, existing gait-based classification or regression methods ignore the ordinal relationship of different ages, which is an important clue for age estimation. This paper proposes an ordinal distribution regression with a global and local convolutional neural network for gait-based age estimation. Specifically, we decompose gait-based age regression into a series of binary classifications to incorporate the ordinal age ***, an ordinal distribution loss is proposed to consider the inner relationships among these classifications by penalizing the distribution discrepancy between the estimated value and the ground truth. In addition,our neural network comprises a global and three local sub-networks, and thus, is capable of learning the global structure and local details from the head, body, and feet. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approach outperforms state-of-the-art gait-based age estimation methods on the OULP-Age dataset.
