Rationally developing efficient and durable bifunctional catalysts toward oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is critical for rechargeable zinc-air batteries(ZABs).Herein,a bead-like CoSe_(2)@NC@NCNFs bifunctional catalyst was designed and fabricated by confining cubic CoSe_(2)nanoparticles to three-dimensional(3D)porous MOFs-derived nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)and one-dimensional(1D)N-doped carbon nanofibers(NCNFs)through a facile encapsulate *** 1D/3D continuous network structure contributes to the improvement of specific surface area and electronic conductivity,while the strong synergistic effect between CoSe_(2)sites and Co-Nx-C sites can effectively enhance electron/mass transfer and reduce the diffusion *** as-constructed CoSe_(2)@NC@NCNFs catalyst exhibits high catalytic activity and stability toward ORR/OER with a high half-wave potential of 0.80 V(***)in ORR and a low overpotential of 280 mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2)in *** encouragingly,the rechargeable ZABs with CoSe_(2)@NC@NCNFs cathode deliver high peak power densities(126.8 mW·cm^(−2)),large specific capacities(763.1 mA·h·g^(−1)),and robust charge-discharge cycling stability over 240 *** study provides a facile strategy for designing efficient bifunctional catalysts for rechargeable energy conversion applications.

Sex pheromones are considered to play critical roles in partner communication of most parasitic ***,the identification of sex pheromone components remains limited to a few families of parasitoid *** this study,we functionally characterized a candidate sex pheromone component in Microplitis mediator(Hymenoptera:Braconidae),a solitary parasitoid of Noctuidae *** found that the body surface extract from female wasps could significantly stimulate courtship behavior of *** chromatography-electroantennographic detection(GC-EAD)analysis revealed that a candidate semiochemical from extract triggered significant electrophysiological response of antennae of *** performing gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS)measurement,GC-EAD active compound was identified as n-octyl acrylate,a candidate sex pheromone component in female *** electroantennogram(EAG)tests,antennae of male wasps showed significantly higher electrophysiological responses to n-octyl acrylate than those of females.Y-tube olfactometer assays indicated that male wasps significantly chose n-octyl acrylate compared with the ***,male wasps showed a remarkable preference for n-octyl acrylate in a simulated field condition behavioral trial;simultaneously,n-octyl acrylate standard could also trigger significant courtship behavior in *** propose that n-octyl acrylate,as a candidate vital sex pheromone component,could be utilized to design behavioral regulators of *** to implement the protection and utilization of natural enemies.

To unravel the intricacies of two-phase gas-liquid flow characteristics and heat transfer behavior,an array mini-channel gravity plate heat pipe(AMGPHP)is proposed in this work,which allows for observing the internal changes in the state of the working *** flow patterns such as pool flow,columnar flow,and slug flow,are experimentally explored and analyzed in *** is found that the optimal volume fill ratio is 20%by utilizing start-up time and thermal resistance as performance evaluation *** this fill ratio,a medium optimization strategy by blending ethanol within R141b is proposed and *** comparison to pure working fluids,the heat transfer performance of AMGFHP in the binary fluid has been significantly augmented due to temperature and concentration shifts resulting from disparate boiling *** the 10%volume fraction ethanol blending condition,the equivalent thermal conductivity of the heat pipe is dramatically elevated,with a value of 3110 W/(m·℃),along with the reduction of the minimum start-up power to 4 *** general,applying such a medium to heat pipes has considerable potential in practical applications.

This study compared different doublet and triplet therapies for efficacy and safety in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer(mHSPC).PubMed,EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library were comprehensively searched for eligible randomized controlled trials(RCTs)published from inception to October *** included abiraterone,apalutamide,enzalutamide,docetaxel,darolutamide,and androgen deprivation therapy(ADT),either as doublet or triplet *** outcomes examined were overall survival(OS),progression-free survival(PFS),castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)-free survival,time to symptomatic skeletal event(SSE),and *** surface under the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA)was determined to identify the preferred *** RCTs were *** combination of darolutamide,docetaxel,and ADT had the highest SUCRA of 84.3 for OS,followed by combined abiraterone,docetaxel,and ADT(SUCRA=71.6).The highest SUCRAs for PFS were observed for triplet therapies(abiraterone,docetaxel,and ADT[SUCRA=74.9],followed by enzalutamide,docetaxel,and ADT[SUCRA=74.3])and other androgen receptor axis-targeted therapy-based doublet therapies(SUCRAs:26.5–59.3).Darolutamide,docetaxel,and ADT had the highest SUCRAs,i.e.,80.8 and 84.0 regarding CRPC-free survival and time to SSE,*** Grade>3 adverse events(AEs),the SUCRAs of triplet therapies(SUCRAs:14.8–31.5)were similar to that of docetaxel and ADT(SUCRA=39.5).Three studies had a low risk of bias in all categories;the remaining studies had at least an unclear risk of bias in at least one *** therapy demonstrated potentially enhanced effectiveness than doublet therapy in mHSPC,with acceptable safety *** might be the optimal option for triplet therapy in combination with docetaxel and ADT.

Small-scale measurements of the radon exhalation rate using the flow-through and closed-loop methods were conducted on the surface of a uranium tailing pond to better understand the differences between the two *** abnormal radon exhalation behavior was observed,leading to computational fluid dynamics(CFD)-based simulations in which dynamic radon migration in a porous medium and accumulation chamber was *** on the in-situ experimental and numerical simulation results,variations in the radon exhalation rate subject to permeability,flow rate,and insertion depth were quantified and *** in-situ radon exhalation rates measured using the flow-through method were higher than those measured using the closed-loop method,which could be explained by the negative pressure difference between the inside and outside of the chamber during the *** consistency of the variations in the radon exhalation rate between the experiments and simulations suggests the reliability of CFD-based techniques in obtaining the dynamic evolution of transient radon exhalation rates for diffusion and convection at the porous medium-air *** synergistic effects of the three factors(insertion depth,flow rate,and permeability)on the negative pressure difference and measured exhalation rate were quantified,and multivariate regression models were established,with positive correlations in most cases;the exhalation rate decreased with increasing insertion depth at a permeability of 1×10^(−11) m^(2).CFD-based simulations can provide theoretical guidance for improving the flow-through method and thus achieve accurate measurements.

With the rapid development of deep learning-based detection algorithms, deep learning is widely used in the field of infrared small target detection. However, well-designed adversarial samples can fool human visual perception, directly causing a serious decline in the detection quality of the recognition model. In this paper, an adversarial defense technology for small infrared targets is proposed to improve model robustness. The adversarial samples with strong migration can not only improve the generalization of defense technology, but also save the training cost. Therefore, this study adopts the concept of maximizing multidimensional feature distortion, applying noise to clean samples to serve as subsequent training samples. On this basis, this study proposes an inverse perturbation eliminationmethod based onGenerativeAdversarialNetworks (GAN)to realize the adversarial defense, and design the generator and discriminator for infrared small targets, aiming to make both of them compete with each other to continuously improve the performance of the model, find out the commonalities and differences between the adversarial samples and the original samples. Through experimental verification, our defense algorithmis not only able to cope with multiple attacks but also performs well on different recognition models compared to commonly used defense algorithms, making it a plug-and-play efficient adversarial defense technique. © 2024 The Authors. Evidence indicates that metabolic reprogramming characterized by the changes in cellular metabolic patterns contributes to the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis (PF). It is considered as a promising therapeutic target anti-PF. The well-documented against PF properties of tanshinone IIA (tan IIA) have been primarily attributed to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potency. Emerging evidence suggests that tan IIA may target energy metabolism pathways, including glycolysis and tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. However, the detailed and advanced mechanisms underlying the anti-PF activities remain obscure. In this study, we applied [U-13C]-glucose metabolic flux analysis (MFA) to examine metabolism flux disruption and modulation nodes of tan IIA in PF. We identified that tan IIA inhibited the glycolysis and TCA flux, thereby suppressing the production of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)-dependent extracellular matrix and the differentiation and proliferation of myofibroblasts in vitro. We further revealed that tan IIA inhibited the expression of key metabolic enzyme hexokinase 2 (HK2) by inhibiting phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR)/hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) pathway activities, which decreased the accumulation of abnormal metabolites. Notably, we demonstrated that tan IIA inhibited ATP citrate lyase (ACLY) activity, which reduced the collagen synthesis pathway caused by cytosol citrate consumption. Further, these results were validated in a mouse model of bleomycin-induced PF. This study was novel in exploring the mechanism of the occurrence and development of tan IIA in treating PF using 13C-MFA technology. It provided a novel understanding of the mechanism of tan IIA against PF from the perspective of metabolic reprogramming.
