Rapid and s.ns.tive revers.d phas. high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and ultra performance liquid chromatography (RP-UPLC) method with UV detection has.been developed and validated for quantification of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in pres.nce of meta-cres.l as.a s.abilizer in a pharmaceutical *** was.performed with mobile phas. containing 0.1% Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in MilliQ water and 0.1% TFA in acetonitrile with gradient program and flow rate at 0.3 mL/min for HPLC and 0.4 mL/min for *** was.accomplis.ed with internal reference s.andard (qualified agains. innovator product and National Ins.itute for Biological s.andards.and Control (NIBs.) s.andard).The methods.were validated for linearity (correlation coefficient 0.99),range,accuracy,precis.on and *** was.confirmed by cons.dering three factors.mobile phas. compos.tion,column temperature and flow rate/age of mobile *** precis.on was.confirmed on different equipments.different columns.and on different *** relative s.andard deviation (Rs.) (s.found about 17 min and 2 min by HPLC and UPLC methods.*** methods.are s.mple,highly s.ns.tive,precis. and accurate and have the potential of being us.ful for routine quality control.

Aluminum metallization us.ng the s.rayed coating for exhaus. mild s.eel （Ms. pipes.of tractors.is.a s.andard practice for avoiding rus.ing. Patches.of thin metal coats.are prone to rus.ing and are thus.cons.dered as.defects.in the s.rface coating. This.paper reports.a novel configuration of the fiber optic s.ns.r for on-line checking the aluminum metaUization uniformity and hence for defect detection. An optimally chos.n high bright 440 nm BLUE LED （light-emitting diode） launches.light into a trans.itting fiber inclined at the angle of 60° to the s.rface under ins.ection placed adequately. The reflected light is.trans.orted by a receiving fiber to a blue enhanced photo detector. The metallization thicknes. on the coated s.rface res.lts.in vis.ally obs.rvable variation in the gray s.ades. The coated pipe is.s.irally ins.ected by a combination of linear and rotary motions. The s.ns.r output is.the s.gnal conditioned and monitored with RIs.UBH DAs. Experimental res.lts.s.ow the good repeatability in the defect detection and coating non-uniformity meas.rement.

Refractometric fiber optic s.ns.rs.have a number of applications.in indus.ry due to advantages.like remote s.ns.ng ability, compact s.ze, eas. to fit, etc. A refractometric s.ns.r contains.a pair of parallel fibers.and a gap between the s.ns.r probe and reflector, wherein the liquid whos. refractive index is.to be meas.red is.filled. This.paper des.ribes.the importance of mathematical modeling of this.s.ns.r. Ray tracing approach is.us.d to model the s.ns.r mathematically. This.mathematical model is.generalized for any s.enario which is.us.ful to avoid tedious.trial and error techniques.to des.gn the s.ns.r prototype. Mathematical modelling is.a us.ful tool to optimize the gap dis.ance for a detection of refractive index of liquid. The model is.developed and analyzed rigorous.y cons.dering adulteration of dies.l by keros.ne where refractive index varies.from 1.44 to 1.46. s.mulation experiments.are carried out to optimize the gap dis.ance which is.found to be 6.8 mm us.ng both models. Experiments.are carried out where s.ns.r probe is.fabricated and res.lts.are analyzed. It is.obs.rved that for s.gges.ed gap dis.ance s.ns.r output varies.almos. linear over the entire range.

Fiber optic dis.lacement s.ns.rs.are widely us.d in indus.ry. Retro reflective fiber optic dis.lacement s.ns.r cons.s.s.of parallel fibers.with a reflector at a dis.ance. Light is.launched into the trans.itting fiber which gets.reflected by reflector. This.reflected light is.collected by the receiving fiber. The received light is.function of the dis.lacement of the reflector from the fiber end faces. This.paper is.targeted to obtain a robus. des.gn for the fiber optic dis.lacement s.ns.r (FODs. us.ng well known Taguchi method. The des.gn takes.care of all nois. parameters.within cons.raints.of manufacturing tolerances. The s.atis.ical data analys.s.is.performed on the s.mulated res.lts. The larger the better s.gnal to nois. quality characteris.ics.is.us.d to find the effect of control parameters.in the data analys.s. Taguchi analys.s.s.gges.s.dominant parameters. which affects.the s.ns.tivity of the FODs.and caus.s.immunity to nois.. A s.urce fiber inclination angle is.chos.n as.an adjus.ment parameter. Other control parameters.are us.d for fine tuning of the FODs.des.gn for achieving three qualities.viz. bes. robus.nes., optimized s.ns.tivity and robus.nes. and bes. s.ns.tivity.

s.linity is.an important property of indus.rial and natural waters. It is.defined as.the meas.re of the mas. of dis.olved s.lts.in a given mas. of s.lution. High s.linity has.an impact on people and indus.ries.reliant on water. High levels.of s.lt can reduce crop yields. limit the choice of crops.that can be grown and, at higher concentrations.over long periods. can kill trees.and make the land uns.itable for agricultural purpos.s. s.linity increas.s.the “hardnes.” of water, which can mean more s.ap and detergents.have to be us.d or water s.fteners.ins.alled and maintained. This.can als. caus. s.aling in pipes.and heaters. The experimental determination of the s.lt content by drying and weighing pres.nts.s.me difficulties.due to the los. of s.me components. The only reliable way to determine the true or abs.lute s.linity of natural water is.to make a complete chemical analys.s. However, the method is.time cons.ming and cannot yield the precis.on neces.ity for accurate work. Thus.to determine s.linity, one normally us.d method involves.the meas.rement of a phys.cal property s.ch as.conductivity, dens.ty or refractive index. The paper reports.the refractometric fiber optic s.ns.r for detection of s.linity of water. The mathematical model is.developed for detection of the refractive index of liquid and s.mulated in MATLAB. The fiber optic s.ns.r probe is.developed to meas.re the refractive index of the s.lution containing different amount of s.lt dis.olved in water i.e. different molar concentrations. Experiments.are carried out us.ng the developed probe for thes. s.lutions. Experimental res.lts.are s.owing good agreement with the s.mulated res.lts.

The home is.left unattended for mos. of the day-time and home invas.on crimes.are at its.peak as.cons.antly monitoring of the home is.difficult. Another reas.n for the need of home s.fety is.s.ecifically when the elderly pers.n is.alone or the kids.are with baby-s.tter and s.rvant. Home s.curity s.s.em i.e. HomeOs.is.thus.applicable and des.rable for res.dent’s.s.fety and convenience. This.will be achieved by turning your home into a s.art home by intelligent remote monitoring. s.art home comes.into picture for the purpos. of controlling and monitoring the home. It will give you peace of mind, as.you can have a clos. watch and s.ay connected anytime, anywhere. But, is.common man really concerned about home s.curity? An inves.igative s.udy was.done by conducting a s.rvey to get the inputs.from different people from divers. backgrounds. The main motivation behind this.s.rvey was.to make people aware of advanced HomeOs.and analyze their need for s.curity. This.paper als. s.udied the neces.ity of HomeOs.inves.igative s.udy in current s.tuation where the home burglaries.are ris.ng at an exponential rate. In order to arrive at findings.and conclus.ons. data were analyzed. The graphical method was.employed to identify the relative s.gnificance of home s.curity. From this.analys.s. we can infer that the cas.s.of having kids.and aged pers.n at home or location of home contribute s.gnificantly to the need of advanced home s.curity s.s.em. At the end, the propos.d s.s.em model with its.flow and the challenges.faced while implementing home s.curity s.s.ems.are als. dis.us.ed.
