Present investigation was undertaken to explore buffalo milk paneer whey for the preparation of zinc complex using different glucans(β-glucan and dextran).Addition of zinc and glucan,both individually and in combination,increased the apparent viscosity and endothermic heat flow characteristics of *** size distribution of whey remained multi-modal but the lower sized particles aggregated to form larger particles with the addition of zinc and *** potential of whey increased with glucan addition and decreased with zinc *** zinc concentration increased from 18.96%(in whey)to 51.02%and 67.06%with dextran andβ-glucan addition,*** absorbance spectra revealed that carboxylic and hydroxyl groups were involved in complex formation with *** formation resulted into decrease in the zeta potential and fluorescence intensity of ***-structural imaging revealed that the particle surface became smooth with glucan addition and complex formation.

Objective:To identify the chikungunya outbreaks in both indoor and outdoor patients in some selected hospitals in our locality and the burden and magnitude of the disease,to compare different system of medicines(allopathic,Ayurvedic,homeopathy etc) and to explore the knowledge,attitude and practices of pharmacists and other health care professionals in the treatment of ***:A six-month study was carried *** history was taken from the case history,personal interview of doctors and suspected *** data such as name age,sex,location,date of onset of illness,medical history,general/systemic examination features,drugs used(allopathy,Ayurveda,homeopathy,or traditional) for the treatment,*** noted down.A simple questionnaire was prepared and distributed to various doctors practicing various systems of ***:A total of 209 suspected cases were identified from July to December,*** in the age group of 20-40 years were more *** study revealed that females were more affected than *** Grade-Ⅲ(58.73%) population was more prone to chikungunya than Grade-Ⅱ(38.75%) and Grade-Ⅰ(2.87%).It showed that fever,pain in muscles, and sleeping disturbances were the intense symptoms of *** and arthritis were concomitant diseases which worsened chikungunya *** also indicated the effective medicine for compliance is nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDS).Conclusions:From our study we found that in some places there is no proper documentation,even though there are proper guidelines framed by the relevant *** can be concluded from the study that all the systems of medicine are equally important for the management of *** effort in promoting the guidelines at local level and proper documentation helps to achieve the goal of curbing the *** is high time to increase our effort and promote these messages at grassroot level which benefits the society/ communi

Dielectric properties of (Zn)x/CuTl-1223 nanoparticle-superconductor composites

Zinc (Zn) nanoparticles and (Cu0.5Tl0.5)Ba2Ca2Cu3O10−δ (CuTl-1223) superconducting phase were prepared separately by sol-gel and solid-state reaction methods, respectively. Zn nanoparticles were added in CuTl-1223 superconducting matrix with different weight percentage during the final sintering process to obtain (Zn) x /CuTl-1223 (x = 02-4 wt%) nanoparticle-superconductor composites. The effect of Zn nanoparticles on structural, morphological, superconducting, and dielectric properties of CuTl-1223 phase was investigated. The addition of these Zn nanoparticles has not affected the crystal structure of host CuTl-1223 superconducting phase. Superconducting properties were enhanced after the addition of Zn nanoparticles up to certain optimum content (i.e., x = 1 wt%), which were due to improved inter-grain connectivity by healing up of micro-cracks and reduction of defects like oxygen deficiencies, etc. The activation energy (U) was increased after the addition of Zn nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 phase. The dielectric properties of these samples (i.e., dielectric constant, dielectric loss) were determined by experimentally measured capacitance (C) and conductance (G) as a function of frequency at room temperature. The addition of metallic Zn nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 matrix has overall suppressed the dielectric parameters of (Zn) x /CuTl-1223 nanoparticle-superconductor composites. The metallic Zn nanoparticles played a significant role in inter-grain couplings by filling the voids and pores.

At the end of the year 2019,a virus named SARS-CoV-2 induced the coronavirus disease,which is very contagious and quickly spread around the *** new infectious disease is called *** areas,such as the economy,social services,education,and healthcare system,have suffered grave consequences from the invasion of this deadly ***,a thorough understanding of the spread of COVID-19 is required in order to deal with this outbreak before it becomes an infectious *** this research,the daily reported COVID-19 cases in 92 sub-districts in Johor state,Malaysia,as well as the population size associated to each sub-district,are used to study the propagation of COVID-19 disease across space and time in *** time frame of this research is about 190 days,which started from August 5,2021,until February 10,*** clustering technique known as spatio-temporal clustering,which considers the spatio-temporal metric was adapted to determine the hot-spot areas of the COVID-19 disease in Johor at the sub-district *** results indicated that COVID-19 disease does spike in the dynamic populated sub-districts such as the state's economic centre(Bandar Johor Bahru),and during the festive *** findings empirically prove that the transmission rate of COVID-19 is directly proportional to human mobility and the presence of *** the other hand,the result of this study will help the authority in charge in stopping and preventing COVID-19 from spreading and become worsen at the national level.

Conditioning regimens employed in autologous stem cell transplantation have been proven useful in various hematological disorders and underlying malignancies;however,despite being efficacious in various instances,negative consequences have also been *** conditioning regimens were extracted from various literature searches from databases like PubMed,Google scholar,EMBASE,and *** regimens for each disease were compared by using various end points such as overall survival(OS),progression free survival(PFS),and leukemia free survival(LFS).Variables were presented on graphs and analyzed to conclude a more efficacious conditioning *** multiple myeloma,the most effective regimen was high dose melphalan(MEL)given at a dose of 200/mg/*** comparative results of acute myeloid leukemia were presented and the regimens that proved to be at an admirable position were busulfan(BU)+MEL regarding OS and BU+VP16 regarding *** case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL),BU,fludarabine,and etoposide(BuFluVP)conferred good disease control not only with a paramount improvement in survival rate but also low risk of ***,for ALL,chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cell therapy was preferred in the context of better OS and *** respect to Hodgkin’s lymphoma,mitoxantrone(MITO)/MEL overtook carmustine,VP16,cytarabine,and MEL in view of PFS and vice versa regarding ***-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patients were administered MITO(60 mg/m2)and MEL(180 mg/m2)which showed promising ***,amyloidosis was considered,and the regimen that proved to be competent was MEL 200(200 mg/m2).This review article demonstrates a comparison between various conditioning regimens employed in different diseases.

Prevalence and associated factors of stress, anxiety and depression among emergency medical officers in Malaysian hospitals

BACKGROUND： Demanding profession has been associated with poor psychological health due to multiple factors such as overworking hours and night shifts. This study is to determine prevalence and associated factors of depression, anxiety and stress among medical officers working at emergency department in Malaysian ***： A cross-sectional study was conducted on 140 emergency department medical officers working at general hospitals from seven Malaysia regions. They were randomly selected and their depression, anxiety and stress level were measured by the 21-item Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale. RESULTS： The highest prevalence was anxiety （28.6%） followed by depression （10.7%） and stress （7.9%）. Depression, anxiety and stress between seven hospitals were not significantly different （P〉0.05）. Male medical officers significantly experienced more anxiety symptoms than female medical officers （P=0.0022）, however depression and stress symptoms between male and female medical officers were not signi？ cantly different （P〉0.05）. Depression, anxiety and stress were not associated with age, working experience, ethnicity, marital status, number of shifts and type of system adopted in different hospitals （P〉0.05）. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of anxiety was high, whereas for depression and stress were considerably low. Gender was the only factor significantly associated with anxiety. Other factors were not associated with depression, anxiety and stress. Future research should aim to gain better understanding on unique factors that affect female and male medical officers’ anxiety level in emergency setting, thus guide authorities to chart strategic plans to remedy this condition.

The present research work concerns about the hydrodynamic behaviors of the open net offshore fish cages of single,double and 4-cage systems subjected to regular sinusoidal *** open net semisubmersible rigid cage is square in shape and analyzed numerically using ANSYS AQWA *** and time domain analyses are carried out for each *** hydrodynamic parameters such as added mass,radiation potential damping,motion responses and mooring line tensions are considered as performance indicators to conclude as the best arrangements among three different *** single cage and windward side of all cages exhibit identical performance in all hydrodynamic *** leeward side of each cage shows lesser parametric values than the windward side *** on the performance indicators,it is concluded that the grid system containing four cage arrangements provides better performance than three other cage *** experimental model of 1∶75 scale is fabricated and wave flume studies are conducted to validate the present numerical *** cage is placed at a water depth of 55 cm and subjected to wave heights of 12 cm and 14 cm with wave periods ranging from 0.8 s to 2.2 s with an interval of 0.2 s are *** same wave flume boundary conditions are adopted for numerical simulations and results are in good agreement with experimental work results.

Biosorption of Cd (II), Cr (VI) &Pb (II) from Aqueous Solution Using <i>Mirabilis jalapa</i>as Adsorbent

Mirabilis jalapa (chandrakantha) leaves were used as a biosorbent for the removal of toxic metals ions cadmium (II), chromium (VI) and lead (II) from water. The physiochemical properties of the developed biosorbent were studied using FTIR. The efficiency of this developed biosorbent was tested using batch experiments under controlled conditions such as a function of pH, contact time, initial metal concentration and the optimization amount of biosorbent. The residual metallic ion concentrations of cadmium (II), chromium (VI) and lead (II) were determined using AAS. The biosorption capacity of Mirabilis jalapa was found to be pH dependant and the percentage removal of cadmium (II), chromium (VI) and lead (II) was increased with increasing adsorbate solution pH and a maximum value was reached at an equilibrium pH = 6 for cadmium (II), pH = 5.5 for chromium (VI) and pH 4.5 for lead (II) respectively. The equilibrium time required for the saturation loading of cadmium (II), chromium (VI) and lead (II) in the biosorbent was found to be about 120 min. The obtained equilibrium biosorption data was fitted to the linear forms of Freundlich isotherms. The results proved the efficiency of Mirabilis jalapa leaves powder as biosorbent for the removal of metal ions and it can be used for the development of an efficient, clean and novel technology for waste water treatment.
