Despite signiﬁcant discoveries in basic cancer research and improvements in treatment options and clinical outcomes,cancer remains a major public health concern ***,the main focus of cancer research is the signaling pathways that are crucial for cell survival,cell proliferation,and cell *** aberrant expression of proteins involved in these signaling pathways often leads to abnormal cell growth,cell metastasis,and invasion of healthy *** such protein is discoidin domain receptor 1(DDR1)which belongs to the family of receptor tyrosine kinases(RTKs)and is activated upon collagen binding,as a result,downstream signaling pathways are stimulated which are responsible for cell survival,cell growth,adhesion,extracellular matrix remodeling,and cell ***1 is found to have abnormally elevated expression in various solid tumors,implying a critical role in cancer ***-tional cancer treatment involves the use of cytotoxic drugs,chemotherapy,radiotherapy,and surgery,which do not pro-vide long-term survival and often result in cancer *** small-molecule kinase inhibitors have been synthesized against RTKs including DDR1 and have been highly efﬁcacious in tumor *** recently,targeting the DDR1 extracellular domain(ECD)has garnered much attention from researchers,as inhibiting the DDR1-collagen binding has been attributed to maximizing the likelihood of the combined cytotoxic effect of both immune cells and tar-geted *** review focuses on the structure,function,activation,and signaling partners of DDR1,its role in different solid tumors,andﬁnally discusses about designing more DDR1 non-kinase inhibitors as promising therapeutic strategies against DDR1-driven tumors.

Vector control schemes have recently been used to drive linear induction motors(LIm)in high-performance *** trend promotes the development of precise and efficient control schemes for individual *** research aims to present a novel framework for speed and thrust force control of LIm using space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWm)*** framework under consideration is developed in four *** begin,mATLAB Simulink was used to develop a detailed mathematical and electromechanical *** research presents a modified SVPWm inverter control *** tuning the proportional-integral(PI)controller with a transfer function,optimized values for the PI controller are *** the subsystems mentioned above are integrated to create a robust simulation of the LIm’s precise speed and thrust force control *** reference speed values were chosen to evaluate the performance of the respective system,and the developed system’s response was verified using various data *** the low-speed range,a reference value of 10m/s is used,while a reference value of 100 m/s is used for the high-speed *** speed output response indicates that themotor reached reference speed in amatter of seconds,as the delay time is between 8 and 10 *** maximum amplitude of thrust achieved is less than 400N,demonstrating the controller’s capability to control a high-speed LIm with minimal thrust *** to the controlled speed range,the developed system is highly recommended for low-speed and high-speed and heavy-duty traction applications.

Integrated borehole and outcrop study for documentation of sea level cycles within the Early Eocene Naredi Formation,western Kutch,India

A combined micropalaeontological and sedimentological investigation of the Early Eocene Naredi Formation (thickness varying between 20 m and 60 m) reveals a complete third-order cycle and six fourth-order sea level cycles. Within the third-order cycle the foraminiferal abundance and diversity gradually increase upwards and reach their maximum values at about 41 m thickness above the base of the formation and subsequently decrease upward and finally give way upward to an unfossiliferous zone at the topmost part. Within a fourth-order cycle foraminiferal abundance and diversity exhibit a similar increasing and decreasing pattern. Bounded between two unconformities the Naredi Formation represents a sequence. A highly fossiliferous Assilinabearing limestone interval represents the maximum flooding zone which separates the transgressive systems tract at the base from the highstand systems tract at the top.

A biomonitoring study was carried out to examine the adverse impacts of total mercury in the blood（HgB）, urine（Hg U） and human scalp hair（HgH） on the residents of a mining district in Colombia. Representative biological samples（scalp hair, urine and blood） were collected from volunteered participants（n = 63） to estimate the exposure levels of THg using a Direct mercury analyzer. The geometric mean of THg concentrations in the hair,urine and blood of males were 15.98 μg/g, 23.89 μg/L and 11.29 μg/L respectively, whereas the females presented values of 8.55 μg/g, 5.37 μg/L and 8.80 μg/L. Chronic urinary Hg（HgU）levels observed in male workers（32.53 μg/L） are attributed to their long termed exposures to inorganic and metallic mercury from gold panning activities. On an average, the levels of THg are increasing from blood（10.05 μg/L） to hair（12.27 μg/g） to urine（14.63 μg/L）.Significant positive correlation was found between hair and blood urinary levels in both male and female individuals. Thus the present biomonitoring investigation to evaluate the Hg levels and associated health issues would positively form a framework for further developmental plans and policies in building an ecofriendly ecosystem.

FSH/LH Ratio as a Predictor of the IVF Outcome in Young Women

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the treatment for many causes of infertility. many studies were done to investigate different factors that can affect the success rate. This study was conducted to evaluate if cycle day 3 (CD3) follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)/luteinizing hormone (LH) ratio can be a predictor for the IVF outcome in young sub-fertile females ≤ 35 years with normal baseline FSH. This is a retrospective case control study conducted at the Centre of Fertility and Andrology Care (CFAC) in Egypt where 235 sub-fertile women underwent IVF. Patients were grouped based on CD3 FSH/LH ratio. Group A consisted of ≤35-year-old women with FSH/LH ratio ≤35-year-old women with FSH/LH ratio ≥ 2. The primary outcomes include the fertilization rate, implantation rate and the clinical pregnancy rate. The secondary outcomes include duration and the total dose of gonadotrophin used. We found that, there was no significant difference in the total dose of gonadotropin used during the IVF cycle. Also, there was no significant difference in the number of retrieved and fertilized oocytes and the number of good embryos. Clinical pregnancy rate was the same in both groups. In conclusion, in patients younger than 35 years, CD3 FSH/LH ratio is not a predictor for IVF outcome.

The development of new wave energy converters has shed light on a number of unanswered questions in fluid mechanics, but has also identified a number of new issues of importance for their future deployment. The main concerns relevant to the practical use of wave energy converters are sustainability, survivability, and maintainability. Of course,it is also necessary to maximize the capture per unit area of the structure as well as to minimize the cost. In this review, we consider some of the questions related to the topics of sustainability, survivability, and maintenance access, with respect to sea conditions, for generic wave energy converters with an emphasis on the oscillating wave surge converter. New analytical models that have been developed are a topic of particular discussion. It is also shown how existing numerical models have been pushed to their limits to provide answers to open questions relating to the operation and characteristics of wave energy converters.

GC/GCmS analysis of the petroleum ether and dichloromethane extracts of moringa oleifera roots

Objective:To explore the phytochemical constituents from petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of moringa oleifera(***)roots using GC/GC—***:A total of 5.11 kg fresh and undried crashed root of *** were cut into small pieces and extracted with petroleum ether and diehloromethane(20 ***) at room temperature for 2 *** concentrated extracts were subjected to their GC—mS ***:The GC-mS analysis of the petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of *** roots,which showed promising biological activities,has resulted in the identification 102 *** constituents belong to 15 classes of compounds including hydrocarbons,fatty acids,esters,alcohols,***,pyrazine,***,steroids,*** and N-hydroxyimine derivatives,unsaturated *** and ***/GC-mS studies on petroleum ether extraet of the roots revealed that it contained 39 compounds,belonging to nine *** S8 has been isolated as a pure compound from the *** major compounds identified from petroleum ether extract were trans-13-clocosene(37.9%).nonacosane(32.6%).cycloartenol(28.6%) nonadecanoic acid(13.9%) and cyclooctasulfur S8(13.9%).Dichloromethane extract of the roots was composed of 63 compounds of which nasimizinol(58.8%) along with oleic acid(46.5%),N—benzyl-N-(7—cyanato heptanamide(38.3%),N—benzyl-N—(1—chlorononyl) amide(30.3%),bis[3—benzyl prop-2-ene]-1-one(19.5%) and N.N-dibeuzyl—2-ene pent 1.5—diamide(11.6%) were the main ***:This study helps to predict the formula and structure of active molecules which can be used as *** result also enhances the traditional usage of *** which possesses a number of bioactive compounds.

Soil Geomorphology of Garpanchkot Hill Area and Its Influence on Land Use and Land Cover

The present study is about to find out different attributes of soil as well as geomorphology. It is very much relevant to the study of land use land cover (LULC). Garpanchkot hill is situated in Purulia district of West Bengal. There are two geomorphological and seven pedological parameters that have been selected for the study. Shuttle radar topographic mission (SRTm) and advanced land observing satellite (ALOS) data are analyzed by remote sensing software to find out the geomorphological character of the area. There are twenty soil samples that have been taken from top of the hill to foothill pediment area with the change of elevation and slope for laboratory analysis. Different statistical techniques are used for representation. Foot hill area of the Garpanchkot hill can be determined by less than 150 m elevation and 5o slope. Elevation and slope of rest of the hill area (greater than 150 m and 5o) are fully dominated by forest and scattered vegetation. Elevated area (greater than 205 m) with less slope (10o - 15o) is associated with dense forest. Escarpment area is associated with grass land and scattered vegetation. Foothill area is bearing the signature of scattered vegetation, bare soil ground and agriculture. The richness of clay minerals plays an important role in the foothill pediment area for development of agriculture. Sandy loam is dominating soil texture in the rest of the hill area. Percentage of organic matter (1.8%), status of salinity (6.65 - 7.72) and alkalinity (up to 138.6 μs/cm) remain high in the high elevated area due to forest cover. The area is very dry, only fed by the rainfall during monsoon season. Artificial reservoir feeds the foothill agriculture system. Rice, wheat, maize, sugarcane, pulses chili and vegetables are the main crops of this area.
