The Sarvak Formation is the second major oil-bearing reservoir in the south and south west of Iran. The Middle Cretaceous Sarvak formation in the Zagros Mountains (Zagros Basin) is mainly composed of carbonate sequences. Based on facies studied, thirteen microfacies were recognized in the studied area, which were categorized in the three facies groups: including inner ramp, mid ramp and outer ramp. Evidences such as the gradual changes in the facies (basin slope), the absence of extensive uninterrupted barrier reef, the lack of calciturbidite and gravity sediments as well as the high proportion of grain-supported indicated that the Sarvak Formation was deposited in the ramp like depositional system, particularly on an inner ramp setting. Inner ramp facies group is the principal setting and subdivided to tidal flat, restricted and unrestricted lagoon as well as shoal sub-environments.

Globalization has many dimensions that it is interpreted as ＂communicational revolution＂ having incredible effects upon thought, behavior, and identity of today＇s human being. Based on this, the world is a stage for globalization and identity interactions. In such space, there are always conflicts among identity strata （individual, national, and global） and for conflicts prevention purposes, respect for the ＂other＇s＂ identity is considerable. Although admitting various nations＇ identity is one of the globalization identity notions challenges, but it doesn＇t mean that a dead end in this field. This research is focused on globalization effects and the subject of becoming far from national identity with rising of cosmopolitanism. We want to figure out：＂What kind of relation is between national identity and cosmopolitanism identity in the globalization era？＂ This work＇s assumption is based on the relation between national identity and globalization identity in the stage of globalization and identity interactions; by admitting and respecting ＂other＇s＂ identity, we are able to prevent conflicts among identity strata. Thus, humans in their vast communications in globalization era for responding purposes, in face to face dialogs, need to implement general values common to all human beings. Through ＂global citizen＂ practices, while there exists differences, we can reach a shared view and become attended to our global responsibility.

OBJECTIVE:To collect and screen for ethnopharmacological properties(antileishmanial,antibacterial and brine lethality assays) of medicinal plant Ocimum basilicum from Peshawar region(34.008 latitude and 71.57 altitudes).METHODS:In the present study a general antileishmanial activity against Leishmania tropica strain was carried *** antibacterial potential of the plant was performed against 06 gram positive and 06 gram negative *** shrimp cytotoxicity assay at different concentrations were ***:The anti-promastigotes profile of the plant showed good antileishmanial activity exhibited LC_(50) value 21.67 μg/*** result for gram positive antibacterial activity revealed that the *** leaves extract possesses significant inhibitory activity at highest two concentrations ranging from20.66 ± 0.31 to 31.86 ± 0.80 for Clostridium perfringens type C and Bacillus subtitilis,respectively,as compared to the gentamycin(27.36 ± 0.55 and21.80 ± 0.72,respectively).For gram negative bacteria good activity was observed.A highest zone of inhibition was recorded for Pseudomonas aeroginosa(28.83 ± 0.28) atthe highest concentration(10 mg/mL).The LC_(50) value obtained for brine shrimp lethality assay was 91.56 μg/***:The herb basil possesses effective cidal activities which make this plant a good candidate for the isolation of antiprotozoal and antibacterial compounds which may lead to the development of novel drug.

We present here some general fractional Schl?milch’s type and Rogers-H?lder’s type dynamic inequalities for convex functions harmonized on time scales. First we present general fractional Schl?milch’s type dynamic inequalities and generalize it for convex functions of several variables by using Bernoulli’s inequality, generalized Jensen’s inequality and Fubini’s theorem on diamond-α calculus. To conclude our main results, we present general fractional Rogers-H?lder’s type dynamic inequalities for convex functions by using general fractional Schl?milch’s type dynamic inequality on diamond-α calculus for pi>1 with .

Objective: Mastitis is one of the most costly diseases in dairy cows, which greatly decreases milk production. Use of antibiotics in cattle leads to antibiotic-resistance of mastitis-causing bacteria. The present study aimed to investigate synergistic effect of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with neomycin or gentamicin antibiotic on mastitis-causing Staphylococcus aureus. Materials and Methods: In this study, 46 samples of milk were taken from the cows with clinical and subclinical mastitis during the august-October 2015 sampling period. In addition to biochemical tests, nuc gene amplification by PCR was used to identify strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Disk diffusion test and microdilution were performed to determine minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC). Fractional Inhibitory Concentration (FIC) index was calculated to determine the interaction between a combination of AgNPs and each one of the antibiotics. Results: Twenty strains of Staphylococcus aureus were isolated from 46 milk samples and were confirmed by PCR. Based on disk diffusion test, 35%, 10% and 55% of the strains were respectively susceptible, moderately susceptible and resistant to gentamicin. In addition, 35%, 15% and 50% of the strains were respectively susceptible, moderately susceptible and resistant to neomycin. According to FIC index, gentamicin antibiotic and AgNPs had synergistic effects in 50% of the strains. Furthermore, neomycin antibiotic and AgNPs had synergistic effects in 45% of the strains. Conclusion: It could be concluded that a combination of AgNPs with either gentamicin or neomycin showed synergistic antibacterial properties in Staphylococcus aureus isolates from mastitis. In addition, some hypotheses were proposed to explain antimicrobial mechanism of the combination.

Iran’s removing subsidy from energy carrier in four years ago leads to spike electricity price dramatically. This abrupt change increases the interest on distributed generation (DG) because of its several benefits such as lower electricity generation price. In Iran among all type of DGs, because of wide natural gas network infrastructure and several incentives that government legislated to support combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) investors, this type of technology is more prevalent in comparison with other technologies. Between existing CCHP technologies, certain economic choices are to be taken into account. For different buildings with different load curves, suitable size and operation of CCHP should be calculated to make the project more feasible. If CCHP does not well suited for a position, then the whole energy efficiency would be plunged significantly. In this paper, a model to find the optimal size and operation of CCHP and auxiliary boiler for any users is proposed by considering an integrated view of electricity and natural gas network using GAMS software. Then this method is applying for a hospital in Tehran as a real case study. Finally, by applying COMFAR III software, useful financial parameters and sensitivity analysis are calculated.

The increasing population and economic activities are putting pressure on the available land resources. Human population and their use of land have transformed the terrestrial biosphere into anthropogenic biomes (anthromes). The present study analyses the urban land use/cover change and land transformation in Srinagar city which is located in the valley of the hill state of Jammu and Kashmir. A change detection analysis was performed to determine the nature, extent and rate of land use/cover change and transformation over 30 years of time period. The results show that the city has expanded significantly at the cost of non built-up land which has decreased in its area. Significantly there was not only the expansion of city area but also there were interchange of land between different land use/cover classes in the study area.

Giardiasis in patients with dyspeptic symptoms

AIM： To investigate the prevalence of giardiasis in patients with dyspeptic symptoms. METHODS＂ Clinical records of consecutive patients who attended Gastroenterology Department at Aga Khan University Hospital from January 2000 to June 2003 and had esophagogastroduodenoscopy （EGD） with duodenal biopsies and international classification of diseases 9th revision with clinical modifications （ICD-9-CM） coded with giardiasis were studied. RESULTS： Two hundred and twenty patients fulfilled the above criteria. There were 44% （96/220） patients who were giardiasis positive, 72% （69/96） of them were males and 28% （27196） of them were females. There were 65% （81/124） males and 35% （43/124） females who were giardiasis negative. The mean age of patients with giardiasis was 28±17 years, while that of giardiasis negative patients was 40±18 years （P〈0.001）. In patients with giardiasis, abdominal pain was present in 71% （68/96） of patients （P = 0.02） and diarrhea in 29% （28/96）（P = 0.005）; duodenitis in 25% （24/96） on EGD （P = 0.006） and in 68% （65/96） on histopathology （P = 0.002）. CONCLUSION： Giardiasis occurs significantly in young people with abdominal pain, while endoscopic duodenitis is seen in only 25% of giardiasis positive cases, which supports routine duodenal biopsy.

Hepatocellular carcinoma has been known to arise commonly in the setting of chronic liver disease. Due to its association with cirrhosis, patients with hepatocellular carcinoma often present with markedly diminished hepatic functional reserve, making them poor surgical candidates. For such patients, image-guided percutaneous ablative modalities have provided a viable alternate curative therapy. Although treatment allocation is a decision based on a number of factors, patients eligible for percutaneous ablation generally include those with early stage disease, hepatocellular carcinoma with disease limited to the liver and no extra-hepatic metastases. While percutaneous ethanol injection is the seminal technique, newer developments have led to it being replaced by percutaneous radiofrequency ablation as the most commonly employed procedure, due to a better efficacy as well as safety profile. Other ablative modalities including microwave ablation, laser ablation and cryotherapy are not as widely available. Furthermore, data comparing their effectiveness with well-established procedures like radiofrequency ablation is limited.

Semiconductor-based photocatalysts have been extensively studied for oxidative photodestruction of organic pollutants in wastewaters, releasing non-toxic substances such as Azo dyes. Various synthesized catalyst specimens were characterized to determine the correlation between preparation conditions (catalyst type, dopant, microstructure, preparation routs, optical and physico-chemical properties) on the photocatalytic activity. Some researchers focused on the process parameters to optimize them to reach higher photoactivity. The specific surface areas, crystalline size, charge and pretreatment of the surface have significant effects on the physical and photocatalytic properties of the semiconductors. The surface sites of catalyst (TiO2) were modified by doping ZnS nanoparticles in the form of Core-Shell structure and the photocatalytic activities were determined by using color degradation and hydrogen production tests. The dye adsorption isotherms of photocatalyst were determined using UV-Vis spectroscopy. The specific surface properties were determined from BET, Zeta meter and Particle size analyzer tests. Photocatalytic decolorization of AR and water splitting test were applied to understand the relation between the surface properties and the photocatalytic activity. The result indicated that core-shell prepared samples had different surface suitable sites to cooperate in photocatalytic reaction.
