This paper explains the benefits and challenges of urban green spaces based on the critical discussion of study results from different studies in different cities. The important roles played by green spaces are social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of sustainable development. Urban green spaces can be a comprehensive tool for long term protection of environmental sustainability through improving the quality of life and air quality, increasing property value due to their amenity and aesthetic characteristics, and reducing the energy costs of cooling buildings. Urban green spaces also can provide ecosystem services in which the recreation and relaxation facilities are especially available to urban dwellers and tourists too. To confirm the multiple roles played by green spaces, certain level of qualitative improvements and distribution of green spaces within the urban area should be considered and incorporated effectively into the environmental sustainability agenda. To do this, an integrated approach regarding the planning, monitoring, designing and maintaining of urban green spaces is required for improving the environmental sustainability in cities in different countries.

Mekong River Basin is a life for many people in six south East Asian countries. The river basin is very productive and has crucial activities like: fishing, agriculture, hydroelectric power, transportation, biodiversity and so on. However, due to mismanagement, political intentions and one way interest only for development, the river basin has already started experiencing complications. The major challenges found out were, huge hydroelectric dam constructions and other projects, high population pressure, lack of cooperation among riparian states (especially upper Mekong region and lower one), and lack of proper management system. This leads to inequitable resource use, impact on water quality, biodiversity loss, and disasters like flooding. It is a high time to make a joint venture among riparian countries for sustainable use of the resource. Multi lateral cooperation and commitment among user countries by consulting all stakeholders will benefit all to use this precious resource equitably without major ecological impacts on the river basin.

An adsorption study ofRhodamine B （RB） dye from aqueous solutions was carried out using walnut shells pretreated by different methods. In addition to the effects of the pretreatment, the effects of various parameters like pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial dye concentration and temperature on the adsorption of RB was studied. The adsorption process was highly pH dependent and a maximum adsorption was achieved at pH 3.0. The best fit for the rates of dye adsorption was a pseudo-second- order kinetic model with good correlation coefficients （R2〉 0.99）. Langmuir isotherms were used to determine that the maximum loading capacity of the different walnut shells and the RB capacities ranged from 1.451-2.292 mg ~ gl. The dye adsorption was also evaluated thermodyna- mically. Positive standard enthalpy （M-P） values were obtained indicating that the RB adsorption process is endothermic as well as AG~ and AS~ values showed that adsorption process is spontaneous with an increased randomness at the solid-liquid interface~ Desorption studies were carried out to explore the feasibility of regenerating the used walnut shells and it was found that 97~71%-99.17% of the retained RB was recovered with 0.1 mol＂ L 1 NaOH solution. The walnut shells were also successfully used to remove RB from industrial effluents.

Nowadays,traditional energy resources are going into a vulnerable condition *** that note biogas is an emerging subsidiary ***,cow-dung is used as a basic raw material to produce *** this study,various forms of putrescible waste like kitchen and vegetable waste were giving emphasis to produce biogas as a replacement of cow dung as well as good management of putrescible waste.2000 kg of kitchen and 1050 kg of vegetable waste were used in a biogas plant continuously for 15 days with a waste/water ratio of 1:*** 133.33 kg of kitchen and 70 kg of vegetable waste generated 2.27 kg and 1.17 kg of biogas per day ***,the average time of burning of biogas for kitchen and vegetable waste was 7.92 *** 4.08 *** day in some *** benefit-cost ratio was greater than 1 for both cases that’s why it can be reckoned as an efficacious *** Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA)model was performed to forecast the amount of biogas generation for kitchen and vegetable waste for the next 10 *** residual sum of square(RSS)value of the ARIMA model for kitchen and vegetable waste was 0.028437 and 0.139524 respectively which indicates ***,predictions of the amount of biogas generation are plotted with a 95%confidence *** forecast indicates that biogas from kitchen waste is more proficient than vegetable waste for the next 10 ***,this putrescible waste can be a prominent raw material for next-gen biogas production.

This work is focused on the effect of heat and mass transfer with unsteady natural convection flow of viscous fluid along with ramped wall temperature under the assumption of the slip wall condition at the boundary. Analytical solutions are obtained by using Laplace transformation to the non-dimensional set of governing equations containing velocity, temperature and concentration. Moreover, the expression for skin-friction is derived by differentiating the analytical solutions of fluid velocity. Numerical tables for Skin-friction, Sherwood number and Nusselt-number are examined. For the physical aspects of the flow, we use various values of involved physical parameters such as Prandtl number(Pr), slip parameter(η), Schmidt number(Sc), buoyancy ratio parameter(N), Sherwood number(Sh), and time(t). Additionally, the general solutions are plotted graphically and a comprehensive theoretical section of numerical discussions is included.

Estimation of crowd count is becoming crucial nowadays,as it can help in security surveillance,crowd monitoring,and management for different *** is challenging to determine the approximate crowd size from an image of the crowd’s *** in this research study,we proposed a multi-headed convolutional neural network architecture-based model for crowd counting,where we divided our proposed model into two main components:(i)the convolutional neural network,which extracts the feature across the whole image that is given to it as an input,and(ii)the multi-headed layers,which make it easier to evaluate density maps to estimate the number of people in the input image and determine their number in the *** employed the available public benchmark crowd-counting datasets UCF CC 50 and ShanghaiTech parts A and B for model training and testing to validate the model’s *** analyze the results,we used two metrics Mean Absolute Error(MAE)and Mean Square Error(MSE),and compared the results of the proposed systems with the state-of-art models of crowd *** results show the superiority of the proposed system.

Appearance-based dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition(HGR)remains a prominent area of research in Human-Computer Interaction(HCI).Numerous environmental and computational constraints limit its real-time *** addition,the performance of a model decreases as the subject’s distance from the camera *** study proposes a 3D separable Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),considering the model’s computa-tional complexity and recognition *** 20BN-Jester dataset was used to train the model for six gesture *** achieving the best offline recognition accuracy of 94.39%,the model was deployed in real-time while considering the subject’s attention,the instant of performing a gesture,and the subject’s distance from the *** being discussed in numerous research articles,the distance factor remains unresolved in real-time deployment,which leads to degraded recognition *** the proposed approach,the distance calculation substantially improves the classification performance by reducing the impact of the subject’s distance from the ***,the capability of feature extraction,degree of relevance,and statistical significance of the proposed model against other state-of-the-art models were validated using t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE),Mathew’s Correlation Coefficient(MCC),and the McNemar test,*** observed that the proposed model exhibits state-of-the-art outcomes and a comparatively high significance level.

A total of 22 species of zooplankton were identified from 8 sampling stations located in the limnetic zone of Pedu *** zooplankton community was dominated by rotifers (11 species),followed by cladocerans (9 species) and copepods (2 species).Four species of zooplankton comprised of 3 rotifers,Brachionus quadridentata,Brachionus caudatus and Keratella cochlearis and one cladoceran,Ceriodaphnia cornuta were present at all sampling *** richness was highest at Station 2 (17 species) followed by Station 4 and Station 8 (14 species),Station 5 (15 species),Station 7 (11 species),Station 6 (10 species),Station 3 (9 species) and Station 1 (7 species).With an exception of water transparency,all other water quality parameters such as temperature,dissolved oxygen,conductivity,pH and total dissolved solids were not significant when compared between sampling *** study found that station 5 which was located in a calm strait,protected from strong wave and wind was a suitable area for zooplankton growth and *** supporting the findings included highest water transparency (3.4 m),rich in species numbers (15 species),high diversity index (0.950) and evenness index (0.808).

A study on water quality of the two long-logged and abandoned headwaters in Temengor Reservoir was conducted to determine their natural *** this study,we used National Water Quality Standards for Malaysia prepared by Malaysian Department of Environment as an indicator for water quality *** parameters measured were dissolved oxygen（mg/L）,water temperature（℃）,pH,conductivity（mS/cm）,total dissolved solids（mg/ L）,water velocity（m/s）,ortho-phosphate（PO4-P）,nitrite-nitrogen（NO2-N）,nitrate-nitrogen（NO3,-N）and alkalinity. In general,water quality in Sungai Enam and Sungai Telang were in ClassⅠ,indicating water quality in both streams have *** on the t-test,Sungai Enam and Sungai Telang differed significantly in all parameters except for dissolved oxygen,NO2-N and *** spatial analyses（upper,middle and lower reaches comparisons）, the two-way ANOVA analysis shows that there were significant differences in all studied parameters between the two rivers except for dissolved oxygen,total dissolved solids,NO2-N and *** flow,hydrologic pathways,geomorphology,physical and environmental characteristics are essential elements in understanding the dynamics of water systems in Sungai Enam and Sungai *** to the recovery,these two headwaters are thus suitable for fish conservation and restoration sites.
