It is highly desired to develop efficient photocatalysts with recycling property for practical application to degrade toxic ***,nanosheet-assembled NiFe_(2)O_(4)microspheres with commendable activity are successfully synthesized by a facile solvothermal reaction with NH4F as the modifier,and their photoactivities are further improved by coupling with NiO through an in situ growth *** optimized nickel oxide(NiO)/nickel ferrite(NiFe_(2)O_(4))microsphere composite(5NiO/NFO-4)exhibits a satisfactory photocatalytic activity for 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)degradation under visible-light irradiation,which is attributed to its wide visible-light response,well-designed hierarchical structure and enhanced charge transfer and separation by coupling NiO as a high-level energy platform to accept ***,it is found that the NiO/NiFe_(2)O_(4)microsphere photocatalysts can be easily collected and recycled owing to the distinctive magnetic *** work provides a feasible route to rational design visible-light-driven photocatalysts with high-activity for environmental remediation and purification with good recyclability.

The scarcity of highly effective and economical catalysts is a major impediment to the widespread adop-tion of electrochemical water splitting for the generation of ***_(2),a low-cost candidate,suffers from inefficient catalytic ***,a captivating strategy has emerged,which involves the en-gineering of heteroatom doping to enhance electrochemical *** investigation demonstrates a successful implementation of the strategy by combining ultrathin MoS_(2) nanosheets with Co and Ni dual single multi-atoms(DSMAs)grown directly on 2D N-doped carbon nanosheets(CoNi-MoS_(2)/NCNs)for the purpose of improving hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).With the aid of a dual-atom doped bifunctional electrocatalyst,effective water splitting has been achieved across a broad pH range in *** double doping of Co and Ni strengthens their interactions,thereby altering the electromagnetic composition of the host MoS_(2) and ultimately leading to improved electrocat-alytic ***,the synergistic effect between NCNs and MoS_(2) nanosheets provided efficient electron transport channels for ions and an ample surface area with open voids for ion ***-sequently,the CoNi-MoS_(2)/NCNs catalysts demonstrated exceptional stability and activity,producing low degree overpotentials of 180.5,124.9,and 196.4 mV for HER and 200,203,and 207 mV for OER in neu-tral,alkaline,and acidic mediums,respectively,while also exhibiting outstanding overall water-splitting performance,durability,and stability when used as an electrolyzer at universal pH.

Infinitesimal-rotation finite elements allow creating a linear problem that can be exploited to systematically reduce the number of coordinates and obtain efficient solutions for a wide range of applications,including those governed by nonlinear *** paper discusses the limitations of conventional infinitesimal-rotation finite elements(FE)in capturing correctly the initial stress-free reference-configuration geometry,and explains the effect of these limitations on the definition of the inertia used in the motion *** alternative to conventional infinitesimal-rotation finite elements is a new class of elements that allow developing inertia expressions written explicitly in terms of constant coefficients that define accurately the reference-configuration *** is shown that using a geometrically inconsistent(GI)approach that introduces the infinitesimal-rotation coordinates from the outset to replace the interpolation-polynomial coefficients is the main source of the failure to capture correctly the reference-configuration *** the other hand,by using a geometrically consistent(GC)approach that employs the position gradients of the absolute nodal coordinate formulation(ANCF)to define the infinitesimal-rotation coordinates,the reference-configuration geometry can be *** simple examples of straight and tapered beams are used to demonstrate the basic differences between the two fundamentally different approaches used to introduce the infinitesimal-rotation *** analysis presented in this study sheds light on the differences between the incremental co-rotational solution procedure,widely used in computational structural mechanics,and the non-incremental floating frame of reference formulation(FFR),widely used in multibody system(MBS)dynamics.

There are numerous application areas of computing similarity between process *** includes finding similar models from a repository,controlling redundancy of process models,and finding corresponding activities between a pair of process *** similarity between two process models is computed based on their similarity between labels,structures,and execution *** attempts have been made to develop similarity techniques between activity labels,as well as their execution ***,a notable problem with the process model similarity is that two process models can also be similar if there is a structural variation between ***,neither a benchmark dataset exists for the structural similarity between process models nor there exist an effective technique to compute structural *** that end,we have developed a large collection of process models in which structural changes are handcrafted while preserving the semantics of the ***,we have used a machine learning-based approach to compute the similarity between a pair of process models having structural and label ***,we have evaluated the proposed approach using our generated collection of process models.

Understanding solid‐and fluid‐inertia forces and their coupling with the gravity potential in complex motion scenarios is necessary for evaluating system stability and identifying root causes of system failure and *** solids and fluids have an infinite number of degrees of freedom and distributed inertia and elasticity,having meaningful qualitative and quantitative nominal measures of the kinematics and forces will contribute to a better understanding of the system *** paper proposes developing new continuum‐based nominal measures for the characterization of the oscillations and *** using a material‐point approach,these new nominal measures,which have their roots in the continuum‐mechanics partial‐differential equations of equilibrium and Frenet geometry,are independent of the formulation or generalized coordinates used to develop the dynamic equations of *** paper proposes a data‐driven‐science approach to define a nominal continuum space‐curve geometry with nominal curvature and torsion;a nominal instantaneous motion plane(IMP),which contains the resultant of all forces including the inertia forces;and a nominal instantaneous zero‐force axis(IZFA)along which the resultant of all forces *** using the material‐point approach eliminates the need for introducing moment equations associated with orientation coordinates,the IMP and IZFA concepts can be used to define the instantaneous axis of significant moment components,which can lead to accidents such as in the case of vehicle rollovers.

This paper proposes a stable gain and a compact Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna(AVA)for a 38GHz band of 5G communication.A novel compact AVA is designed to provide constant gain,high front to back ratio(FBR),and very high *** performance of the proposed AVA is enhanced with the help of a dielectric lens(DL)and corrugations.A rectangular-shaped DL is incorporated in conventional AVA(CAVA)to enhance its gain up to 1 dBi and the bandwidth by 1.8 ***,the rectangular corrugations are implemented in CAVA with lens(CAVA-L)to further improve the gain and *** proposed AVA with lens and corrugations(AVA-LC)gives a constant and high gain of 8.2 to 9 *** designed AVA-LC operates from 34 to 45GHz frequency which covers 38GHz(37.5 to 43.5 GHz)band of 5G ***,the presented AVA-LC mitigates the back lobe and sidelobe levels,resulting in FBR and efficiency *** FBR is in the range of 12.2 to 22 dB,and efficiency is 99%,almost *** AVA-LC is fabricated on Roger’s RT/duroid 5880 substrate,and it is tested to verify the simulated *** proposed compact AVA-LC with high gain,an improved FBR,excellent efficiency,and stable radiation patterns is suitable for the 38GHz band of 5G devices.

Aging is a natural process that leads to debility,disease,and ***’s disease(AD)causes degeneration of the brain cells leading to cognitive decline and memory loss,as well as dependence on others to fulfill basic daily *** is the major cause of ***-aided diagnosis(CADx)tools aid medical practitioners in accurately identifying diseases such as AD in *** study aimed to develop a CADx tool for the early detection of AD using the Intelligent Water Drop(IWD)algorithm and the Random Forest(RF)*** IWD algorithm an efficient feature selection method,was used to identify the most deterministic features of AD in the *** is an ensemble method that leverages multiple weak learners to classify a patient’s disease as either demented(DN)or cognitively normal(CN).The proposed tool also classifies patients as mild cognitive impairment(MCI)or *** dataset on which the performance of the proposed CADx was evaluated was sourced from the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative(ADNI).The RF ensemble method achieves 100%accuracy in identifying DN patients from CN *** classification accuracy for classifying patients as MCI or CN is 92%.This study emphasizes the significance of pre-processing prior to classification to improve the classification results of the proposed CADx tool.

Iron deficiency anemia is one of the most common micronutrient deficient conditions around the globe with various consequences,including the weakened immune *** is widely distributed bioflavonoid;it has been debated for its dual roles in iron ***-iron interaction in the body is a complex mechanism which has not been completely *** present study aimed to investigate the effect of quercetin on iron supplementation in iron deficiency anemia and on i NOS expression in splenic *** rat model of iron deficiency anemia was induced by feeding low iron diet to weanling rats for 20 *** animals were then administered with ferrous sulfate,quercetin,and their combination for 30 *** parameters,histopathological analysis,iron storage,CD68,i NOS and SLC40 expression in rat spleen were *** results showed that quercetin regulated iron absorption,despite SLC40 down-expression,indicating possible alternate route of iron transport,and that quercetin modulated i NOS production in splenic macrophages..

A new variant of friction-assisted process named friction surface alloying(FSA)for developing surface alloys was demonstrated in the present *** FSA,the dispersed phase is melted and allowed to react with the matrix material to form an alloy at the surface of a metallic *** the present work,magnesium(Mg)sheets and zinc(Zn)powder were selected,and fine grained(~3.5μm)Mg–Zn surface alloy with improved hardness was produced by FSA.X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the formation of intermetallic phases of Mg and Zn at the *** the in vitro degradation studies carried out by immersing in simulated body fluids,a lower corrosion rate was observed for the Mg–Zn surface alloy compared with pure *** surface morphologies after immersion studies indicated large degraded areas on the base Mg compared with Mg–*** results demonstrate the potential of FSA in developing Mg-based surface alloys without melting the substrate to impart better surface properties.
