Effect of surface structure on the catalytic behavior of Ni:Cu/Al and Ni:Cu:K/Al catalysts for methane decomposition

Methane decomposition using nickel, copper, and aluminum （Ni：Cu/Al） and nickel, copper, potassium, and aluminum （Ni：Cu：K/Al） modified nano catalysts has been investigated for carbon fibers, hydrogen and hydrocarbon production. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）, static secondary ion mass spectrometry （SSIMS）, thermal gravimetric analysis （TGA）, Fourier transform infrared （FT-ir）, secondary electron microscopy/X-ray energy dispersive （SEM-EDX）, and temperature programmed desorption （TPD） were used to depict the chemistry of the catalytic results. These techniques revealed the changes in surface morphology and structure of Ni, Cu, Al, and K, and formation of bimetallic and trimetallic surface cationic sites with different cationic species, which resulted in the production of graphitic form of pure carbon on Ni：Cu/Al catalyst. The addition of K has a marked effect on the product selectivity and reactivity of the catalyst system. K addition restricts the formation of carbon on the surface and increases the production of hydrogen and C2, C3 hydrocarbons during the catalytic reaction whereas no hydrocarbons are produced on the sample without K. This study completely maps the modified surface structure and its relationship with the catalytic behavior of both systems. The process provides a flexible route for the production of carbon fibers and hydrogen on Ni：Cu/Al catalyst and hydrogen along with hydrocarbons on Ni：Cu：K/Al catalyst. The produced carbon fibers are imaged using a transmission electron microscope （TEM） for diameter size and wall structure determination. Hydrogen produced is COx free, which can be used directly in the fuel cell system. The effect of the addition of Cu and its transformation and interaction with Ni and K is responsible for the production of CO/CO2 free hydrogen, thus producing an environmental friendly clean energy.

Abiotic stresses are among the major limiting factors for plant growth and crop *** these,salinity is one of the major risk factors for plant growth and development in arid to semi-arid *** of salt tolerant crop genotypes is one of the imperative approaches to meet the food demand for increasing *** current experiment was carried out to access the performance of different rice genotypes under salinity stress and Zinc(Zn)*** rice genotypes were grown in a pot experiment and were exposed to salinity stress(7 dS m^(−1)),and Zn(15 mg kg^(-1)soil)was applied from two sources,ZnSO4 and Zn-EDTA.A control of both salinity and Zn was kept for *** showed that based on the biomass accumulation and K^(+)/Na^(+)ratio,KSK-133 and BAS-198 emerged as salt tolerant and salt sensitive,***,based on the Zn concentration,BAS-2000 was reported as Zn-in-efficient while ir-6 was a Zn-efficient *** results also revealed that plant growth,relative water content(RWC),physiological attributes including chlorophyll contents,ionic concentrations in straw and grains of all rice genotypes were decreased under salinity ***,salt tolerant and Zn-in-efficient rice genotypes showed significantly higher shoot K^(+)and Zn concentrations under saline *** application significantly alleviates the harmful effects of salinity by improving morpho-physiological attributes and enhancing antioxidant enzyme activities,and the uptake of K and *** beneficial effect of Zn was more pronounced in salt-tolerant and Zn in-efficient rice genotypes as compared with salt-sensitive and Zn-efficient *** sum,our results confirmed that Zn application increased overall plant’s performance under saline conditions,particularly in Zn in-efficient and tolerant genotypes as compared with salt-sensitive and Zn efficient rice genotypes.

Five triorganotin（IV）（1-5） complexes of cinnamic acid, （Z）-2-acetamido-3-phenylacrylic acid, 3-methylbut-2-enoic acid, and 2,2-diphenylacetic acid have been synthesized and characterized by IH-13C-119Sn NMR, UV, and ir. The spectroscopic investigation demonstrated that the carboxylate group acts as a monodentate ligand in triorganotin（IV） compounds. Five triorganotin（IV） complexes were screened against the log phase culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv by colorimetric method using XTT dye as growth indicator. The MICs were found to he 0.08 and 1.25μg/mL.

Antimony（III） complexes of thioamides [thioamides=thiourea （Tu）, N,N＇dimethylthiourea （Dmtu）, tetramethylthiourea （Tmtu）, imidazolidine-2-thione （Imt） and diazinane-2-thione （Diaz）] with the general formulae, Sb（thione）nCl3 （n= 1, 2, 2.5, 3） were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, ir and NMR （1H, 13C） spectroscopic methods. The spectral data of the complexes are consistent with the coordination of the thiones to antimony（III）. The crystal structure of one of them, {[Sb（Imt）2Cl2]2（u2-Imt）}Cl2 （1）, was determined by X-ray crystallography, which shows that the complex is dinuclear consisting of two [Sb（Imt）2Cl2] units bridged by an Imt molecule. In 1, the antimony atom is bonded to two chlorine atoms, two sulfur atoms of coordinated Imt molecules and one sulfur atom of a bridging Imt molecule. The antimony environment can be considered to be distorted octahedral with one Cl- ion weakly bound to antimony.

MicroRNAs(mirNAs),a class of non-coding single-strand RNA molecules encoded by endogenous genes,are about 21–24 nucleotides long and are involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in plants and ***,the types and quantities of mirNAs in the different tissues of an organism are diverse,and these divergences may be related to their specific *** we have identified 296 known mirNAs and 46 novel mirNAs in the antennae of the parasitoid wasp Microplitis mediator by high-throughput ***-three mirNAs were predicted to target olfactory-associated genes,including odorant binding proteins(OBPs),chemosensory proteins,odorant receptors(ORs),ionotropic receptors(irs)and gustatory *** these,17 mirNAs were significantly highly expressed in the antennae,four mirNAs were highly expressed both in the antennae and head or wings,while the remaining 12 mirNAs were mainly expressed in the head,thorax,abdomen,legs and ***,mir-9a-5p and mir-2525-3p were highly expressed in male antennae,whereas mir-1000-5p and novel-mir-13 were enriched in female *** 17 mirNAs highly expressed in antennae are likely to be associated with olfaction,and were predicted to target one OBP(targeted by mir-3751-3p),one ir(targeted by mir-7-5p)and 14 ORs(targeted by 15 mirNAs including mir-6-3p,mir-9a-5p,mir-9b-5p,mir-29-5p,mir-71-5p,mir-275-3p,mir-1000-5p,mir-1000-3p,mir-2525-3p,mir-6012-3p,mir-9719-3p,novel-mir-10,novel-mir-13,novel-mir-14 and novel-mir-28).These candidate olfactory-associated mirNAs are all likely to be involved in chemoreception through the regulation of chemosensory gene expression in the antennae of ***.

Determination of the Chemical Structure of the iraqi Oil Shale and Its Hydrocarbon Forms

The global impact of shale oil has revolutionized the world’s energy markets, resulting in significantly lower oil prices, higher global gross domestic product, changing geopolitics and shifted business models for oil and gas companies. Further and developed research initiative is required to fill critical gaps in knowledge at the interface of shale oil development along with environmental protection, so countries can prepare better for its energy future. This paper explores the characterization of iraqi originated oil shale using various analytical techniques, such as mass spectrometry (MS), infrared spectroscopy (ir), and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrography (GC/MS). Based upon analytical results, it is found that the majority of chemical structure is in aliphatic hydrocarbon forms.

Vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque(VASPs)is the major pathological cause of acute cardiovascular *** detection and precise intervention of VASP hold great clinical significance,yet remain a major *** therapy(PDT)realizes potent ablation efficacy under precise manipulation of laser *** this study,we constructed theranostic nanoprobes(NPs),which could precisely regress VASPs through a cascade of synergistic events triggered by local irradiation of lasers under the guidance of fluorescence/MR *** NPs were formulated from human serum albumin(HSA)conjugated with a high affinity-peptide targeting osteopontin(OPN)and encapsulated with photosensitizer ir780 and hypoxia-activatable tirapazamine(TPZ).After intravenous injection into atherosclerotic mice,the OPN-targeted NPs demonstrated high specific accumulation in VASPs due to the overexpression of OPN in activated foamy macrophages in the carotid *** the visible guidance of fluorescence and MR dual-model imaging,the precise near-infrared(Nir)laser irradiation generated massive reactive oxygen species(ROS),which resulted in efficient plaque ablation and amplified hypoxia within *** response to the elevated hypoxia,the initially inactive TPZ was successively boosted to present potent biological suppression of foamy *** therapeutic administration of the NPs for 2 weeks,the plaque area and the degree of carotid artery stenosis were markedly ***,the formulated NPs displayed excellent *** conclusion,the developed HSA-based NPs demonstrated appreciable specific identification ability of VASPs and realized precise synergistic regression of atherosclerosis.

A simple idea to obtain a desired color that hiding the black color, and the visibility of tubes and corrugations of the metal sheet （absorber） of the thermal solar collectors which is consider the main obstacle to facade integration buildings of solar thermal collectors will be presented in this study by designing a multilayer optical interference filter during RF magnetron sputtering process. This filter work as antireflection coating in the near ir region and also includes a high colored reflectance at a specific wavelength in the visible region, this is to gain an esthetic aspect for the thermal solar collector which can be used as building facades by employing appropriate dielectric materials with high refractive index （H） like SiO2 and low refractive index （L） such as MgF2 which they deposited on glass substrate for quarterwave thickness and for the optical model air//HL//glass.

Effect of Abscisic Acid on NaCI Stressed Callus Proliferation and Plant Regeneration in Rice

In rice, 2,4-Dichlorphenoxyacetic acid （MS2） has been considered best for callus induction and combination ofNAA, IAA, ABA （MS3） for somatic embryogenesis. Efficient plant regeneration was observed when MS basal salts supplied with 3% sorbitol and 3% maltose as carbon sources without hormones （MSac）. During this experiment, effect of sodium chloride （NaCl） and abscisic acid （ABA） was assessed on callus growth, plant regeneration and root induction efficiency of rice （Oryza sativa L.） varieties ir-6 and Basmati-370. Callus proliferation rate was highly decreased in both varieties on MS2b （100 mol.m3 NaCl ＋ 0.5 mg＇L1 ABA） than MS2a （100 mol＇m3 NaCl） cultures significantly. Proline, glycine-betaine and reducing sugars were increased significantly in MS2a and MS2b callusing cultures. However, total proteins were decreased in MS2a, while slightly increased in MS2b. Maximum plant regeneration （9.42 ±0.54 and 10.67 ±0.50 ***1） from somatic embryos was observed on MS4c in ir-6 and Basmati-370, while 1.56 ± 0.06 （ir-6） and 0.95 ±0.05 （Basmati-370） plantlets callus1 were observed on MSab （100 mol·m3 NaCl）. No plant regeneration was observed on MS4b （100 mol·m3 NaCl ＋ 0.5 mg·L-1 ABA） medium in both varieties. Inhibition of root induction efficiency was high in MSsb （100 mol·m3 NaCl ＋ 0.5 mg·L-1 ABA） than MS5a （100 mol·m3 NaCl） in the stressed cultures （P 〈 0.05）. In this experiment, it was concluded that ABA involved in somatic embryogenesis and elevation of NaCl stress, while it causes inhibition of cell＇s growth as well as its regeneration into plantlets from somatic embryos.
